Pizza Possum is a Snackable Experience

You’ve heard us describe Pizza Possum as snackable. Bite-sized. Short and sweet. And we do mean this, Pizza Possum is not a very long game.

In a world of long games and open worlds to get lost in, we wanted to offer a palette cleanser. A midnight snack that might at first glance look like a simple grilled cheese sandwich but still manages to satisfy that inner mischievous possum inside of you that you didn’t even know existed.

And that is the way we like it. We wanted to create a condensed mischievous experience that could easily be picked up, enjoyed, and put down in short intervals. In fact, a veteran player could most likely get to Bella Chonki, eat the pizza, and steal their crown as quickly as you could enjoy a pizza in real life. Though it’ll take you a little longer than that to repeat the feat not once but twice more for the tasty ending.

The Cookbook of the Traumatized Neighbor - Tiramisu

There are few desserts that can compete with the complex yet humble flavors that go into a Tiramisu. That perfect mix of sweet, bitter and creamy, this coffee-based dessert has grown in popularity for good reason. While at first glance less complicated than the cake, this dessert still has a few pitfalls you can easily fall into, so make sure you keep a close eye on temperatures and textures as you move through the instructions.

  • 5 - 6 large eggs
  • 500 grams of Mascarpone cheese
  • 700 ml of coffee, preferably Italian
  • 3-5 tbsp of white sugar
  • 1 packet of Lady Finger biscuits
  • Cocoa powder
  • Icing sugar
  • Optional: Add 55g of a chocolate liqueur
  • Optional: Add 55g of a mild amaro
  • Optional: A few squares of dark chocolate (with nuts if preferred)

Start by separating the egg yolks from the egg whites in two separate bows. Get a pot of water boiling and then remove it from the heat, as this will be used to pasteurize the eggs. Place the bowl containing the yolks on top of the pot and use a hand mixer to gently whisk them until they reach a maximum temperature of 60°C/140°F. This should take about 1 - 2 minutes, and make sure to check regularly using a termometer. Remove the bowl from the heat and add around 5 tablespoons of white sugar into the yolks, and mix until it’s light and frothy.

Now it’s time to start heating the egg whites over the same pot of water, mixing it until you get stiff peaks. Add the Mascarpone to the yolk and sugar mixture and integrate it until you get a nice thick cream. Gently fold in the eggs with a spatula into cream, and set aside.

Brew your coffee and make sure to let cool completely. This is also where you can add your optional liquor or amaro and mix it in with the coffee. Then take your Lady finger biscuits and submerge them for around 3 seconds, letting any stray drops fall off. Move the dipped biscuits to the bottom of a pyrex pan with the sugar side turned down. Repeat these steps until you have a solid later of biscuits, squishing them as needed.

Pour some of your mascarpone cream mixture on top, spreading it with a spatula so you get an even layer from corner to corner. Sift the cocoa powder on top and then repeat with another layer of dipped biscuits, cream, cocoa, etc. If you want a richer top layer, add your chopped up optional chocolate squares to the top along with the final layer of sifted cocoa powder. Cover the plate with cling wrap and set into the fridge for at least four hours, preferably overnight. And there you have it! A decadent treat that is sure to delight all palettes.

A Tour of the Village - Venetian District

The contrast between the earthy brick tiles and the sparkling clear canals makes the Venetian District one of the most beautiful in the village. There is an ever-present sense of hustle and bustle as villagers and patrol guards alike fill the streets, with fruit stands and more for our dastardly Possum and Raccoon to consume.

With winding pathways and bridges galore, making a small detour to walk its streets is well worth the trip. Not to mention the district is known for its gigantic spaghetti and meatballs, which is a must-eat for anyone passing through. So make sure you don’t miss it when you are passing through the Posh District, as the detour is a pleasant one.

Meet the Mini Guard

Just because the Mini Guard is the smallest in the patrol doesn’t mean they don’t make up for it in stubbornness. While they are incapable of tackling someone as big as our Possum or Raccoon on their own, they will chase after them with an incessant urgency unlike any you’ve seen. By following their targeting and calling attention to themselves, they are often able to get the help of another nearby guard who is large enough to be able to catch one or both of our mischievous protagonists.

So when you see one, please remember. They might be tiny but they are also fierce, and they won’t stop chasing until you either outsmart them or they call help and are able to get you.

Tools of Choice - The Unlockable Items

Before we start diving into each of the unlockable items you will be able to use in Pizza Possum, let’s first look at them as a group. As you climb your personal high score and make it further into the village, you will start to unlock more tools to help you navigate tight spots and distract the guards. These can be picked up through various floating boxes scattered around the island and can make all the difference when being chased.

Items are split up into three categories. The first are active, usable items with a fixed amount (e.g. energy drinks, smoke bombs), which you can refill the amount of by grabbing more from the floating boxes. These are showcased both in the item menu as well as the corner of the screen, and you can only have one active item in use at any time, meaning that if you pick it up, your previously equipped one will be dropped.

The second is passive stacked items that increase specific stats, like coffees for speed or mints to make your bloated form last for a shorter time. These are automatically consumed, and you can see the amount you’ve eaten in the item menu.

Lastly, you have wearable passives, which give various boosts, like the chef’s hat that boosts the number of points you get from consuming food or the bandit mask that makes it harder to spot you. Only one wearable passive can be equipped at any given time, you will have to pick and choose which stat boost works best for you.
