Two big events! Two big events!

A:As the title suggests, I am honored to announce that the Japanese BETA version and English testing version of "Cave Fiction" have been released. In this testing version, a resolution option has been added. (However, you need to clear your progress and restart the game.) I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to Mr. iugennnnn and the couple, keshan sixin, for their support in creating the Japanese and English versions. (Bows)

In "Chest," you'll see our charming character, Sandy, return in a new form.

Hello, It's been a while since I posted an update. The reason I haven't been able to provide updates isn't because I've given up on this game or that all my previous promises have disappeared. The situation is as follows:



Due to being busy with a full-time job recently and going on vacation for a few days at the end of last month, I've been quite exhausted. Perhaps it's because I hadn't gone far from home in the last few years due to the COVID-19 situation, and traveling was quite tiring after three years.


Currently, the progress of the English version is basically replaced, but the quality of the translation still needs to be verified in future steps. The progress of the Japanese version is about halfway.

Actually, the progress is a bit slower than I had imagined. Originally, I had planned to send this "update" post after the completion of the Japanese and English versions and would include the announcement of the next work. However, plans change, and it seems that the progress expected to be completed in October may be delayed. But the good news is that the progress for the next work hasn't changed.


So, what kind of story is the next work? In the original plan, this post would include some settings and materials for public disclosure, and at the same time, a new game store page would be opened. But given that I don't have anything particularly presentable, I'll quietly include some at the end.
About the information on the next work:

The next work, “PICCIONI BROS," tells the story of three brothers and sisters living in the world of PICCIONI. The eldest brother, Pollo, is a white-collar worker for the largest local company, working from nine to five and burdened with a mortgage; the second brother is a rebellious teenager who left home early in pursuit of the true nature of the world; and the youngest sister is still in school. In a seemingly peaceful and happy life, the story begins with the morning when the eldest brother, Pollo, wakes up, and it continues to cycle, revealing the terrifying and brutal truth hidden in the seemingly peaceful and happy world of PICCIONI.



“PICCIONI BROS" is a story that follows "CAVE FICTION," which stated that chickens are evil creatures. “CAVE FICTION" was about love, being loved, and the contemplation of being lost. In contrast, "PICCIONI BROS" explores work, society, and self-worth. In “CAVE FICTION," I confidently declared it as a philosophical exploration, and similarly, in "PICCIONI BROS," I also included some literary work tributes.

"Cave Fiction" is participating in the Steam Visual Novel Fest

Hello everyone,

I am very honored to announce that "Cave Fiction" is participating in the Steam Visual Novel Festival. I would love to offer a discount, but unfortunately, due to Steam's mechanisms, I am unable to do so at the moment.

Some updates:
The English and Japanese manually proofread versions are currently in progress and are expected to be completed by October.
The OST is in the Steam review queue and will be available soon.

Regarding the future:
"Cave Fiction" is my first game, as well as GOOODMON's first game. It is also the first part of my "Fiction Trilogy." Some players who haven't experienced all the possible endings might have different interpretations of certain aspects of the story. I believe games are meant to be games. "Cave Fiction" is a philosophical game that explores the theme of "love," while the second part of this series will be a literary game focusing on "society." After the development of "Cave Fiction" the next game will support multiple resolutions, full-screen adaptation, and non-AI translated languages upon release.

Update and Fix on July 27, 2023

Here's the situation. Some friends who are still using low-resolution devices complained that they couldn't fully experience the game. So, I've added resolution settings.
Currently, there are two supported resolutions:
1600x900
800x450

Additionally, bugs have been fixed, and a guide has been added.

If any friends need a larger resolution, please input "123123123kirA" in the test version and select the Steamsh branch.
