This update contains the following fixes and adjustments:

[h3]Additions[/h3]

• Added a new Hero Mode exclusive item: Celestial's Peach.
  
• Added tutorials for the Bunny Shop, Backpack Upgrades and Difficulty Selection in Hero Mode.
  
• Added a yellow outline to Amenities. Players can now clearly see which items are interactable in the hotel.
  

[h3]Improvements[/h3]

• Improved survival phases in boss battles. The length of all survival phases in boss battles have been decreased by 30%~40%.
  
• Improved the VFX of Bat Hairclip and Unstable Launcher: their projectiles will no longer overlap.
  
• Improved the reward selection UI. Players can now clearly see which reward they've chosen.
  
• Improved the effect of the Serving Cart. Interacting with it at max health will now give Bunny Coins instead of health.
  

[h3]Adjustments[/h3]

• Max health in Hero Mode has been increased from 9 to 18.
  
• Frost Cannonball now triggers Mimi's and Magician's Broom's collision damage in Hero Mode.
  
• Energy Drink has been revamped. It immediately raises courage level by one and increases uses of all spell cards in the backpack by one.
  
• Lunatic Torch no longer makes you take an additional damage.
  
• Slightly buffed Youkai Lantern, Gourmet's Hitaikakushi and Fireworks(Hero Mode only)
  
• Sword of Hisou's rarity has been changed to "treasured" (the rarest) and its effect has been slightly increased.
  
• Sake Sparrow's rarity has been changed to "normal" (the least rarest)
  
• Slightly nerfed Ice Fang, Glacier Shield, Extreme Snowstorm, Airdrop and Quickfreeze Bubbles(Hero Mode only)
  

[h3]Fixes[/h3]

• Fixed an issue where controller vibration would disappear.
  
• Fixed an issue in Hero Mode where locked items in the Bunny Shop would be carried into the next adventure.
  
• Fixed an issue in Hero Mode where the game would crash when interacting with the Post Box.
  
• Fixed an issue in Hero Mode where the amount of items in the Bunny Shop would be scrambled.
  
• Fixed a few issues with stability.
  
• Fixed errors in the English version.
  

This update contains the following fixes and adjustments:

• Added opening to Hero Mode (only one section has been added. Later sections will be added in subsequent updates).
  
• Added a popup to notify the player when two conflicting challenges are selected.

• Restricted where Fatal Laser and Pursuing Spirit can show up in Hero Mode, preventing stages from getting too difficult;
  
• Increased the interaction delay when opening the shop in Hero Mode, preventing accidental purchases.
  

[h3]Bug Fixes[/h3]

• Fixed an issue in Hero Mode with wrong controller button labels;
  
• Fixed an issue in Hero Mode where the shop would have the wrong number of items after refreshing;
  
• Fixed an issue where the Energy Drink item would cause courage level to go around curse restrictions;
  
• Fixed some minor stability issues.

[h2]★Roguelite Mode★[/h2]
It's been a long time coming, but the new free update of Touhou Hero of Ice Fairy—Hero Mode—is now in public beta! Experience the fun of a HoIF roguelite for youself!
(This beta is available for all players—no registration needed. You can try out the gamemode once the game updates.)


[h3]● Thrilling Boss Rush[/h3]
In Hero Mode, you'll be fighting every boss that has appeared in the game one more time. If you lose a battle, you fail the challenge!

[h3]● Resting Area[/h3]
When a battle ends, you'll be able to return to a safe resting area. Each area will have various random amenities. Interacting with them will have different effects!
(For example, the food cart, pictured above, allows you to regain health, while the television allows you to take part in a trivia contest)

[h3]● New Currency[/h3]
For the first time ever, the game now has a shop and currency system. Every time a boss is defeated, you'll be awarded Gold Coinsbased on your performance in the battle. These coins can be used in resting areas to buy brand new items and spell cards!

[h3]● Tons of New Items[/h3]
We've added more than 20 new items for Hero Mode, allowing you to try out different builds and synergies during the course of your adventure!

[h3]● Additionally...[/h3]
Hero Mode also includes random events that appear during battle, toggleable challenges, taking items into a new adventure, and much more for you to discover!

[h3]● Final Words[/h3]
Hero Mode is our first time making a roguelite gamemode, therefore, you may find that some parts of the design aren't really be up to scratch through the course of the game.
However, rest assured, we'll be here to address any flaws or imbalances, as we plan on providing long-term support for Hero Mode.

We've removed the language selection screen that appears on game startup and ported it over to the settings screen.
Now you don't need to go through the language select screen every time you boot up the game!

[h3]● Toggleable Controller Functions[/h3]
Added toggles for aim-assist and vibrations for controllers. You can now turn these features on or off as desired.

[h3]● New Ways to Shoot for the Mouse[/h3]
A new toggle for the two ways to shoot. You can now freely swap between hold-shooting and toggle-shooting to shoot.
With toggle-shooting, you no longer need to hold down the mouse to shoot!

[h3]● Extra Stamina Bar[/h3]
Added a new stamina bar at the bottom of the screen. It can be freely turned on and off. It's a good way to know how much stamina you have left during intense battles.

[h3]● Esper Cape[/h3]
Creates a frost barrier which dispels bullets when used. Also boosts the hero's attack when inside the barrier.
(Obtained by talking to Wisebit after clearing Story stage 6)


[h3]● Rabbit Charm[/h3]
Allows the hero to jump in mid-air. Also grants a small frame of invincibility when jumping.
(Obtained by talking to Wisebit after clearing Story Stage 7)

Finally, Clown-phobia, Clownpiece's theme, as our very first battle theme, is something special and significant for Touhou Hero of Ice Fairy as a whole. Ever since our game's release, we've received a lot of feedback and support from players, so in other to show our thanks for that support, we've decided to remake Clownpiece's theme—Clown and the Seven Fairies!

You can now enjoy this new song in Clownpiece's challenge stage!
(The New Supporter Pack DLC will also have this song added to it)


We've built on top of the original song with an even richer band, as well as adding elements of funk, swing, Latin and blues. Furthermore, our writer is the main singer with additional vocals by our artist!

We have more styles of music prepared for the roguelite mode coming in the future!
