Ranked Mode: Compete in PvP & Win Exclusive Rewards!

Ready to put your treasure-hunting skills to the ultimate test in pursuit of exclusive rewards, Renegades? Load up and get ready to duke it out in Ranked Mode, an all-out PvP extravaganza coming to HAWKED with Issue #2 on May 23.

This has been a long-requested feature, and we’re proud to bring it to the fore with the launch of Issue #2! We’ve always had a long-term goal to introduce a full Ranked Mode to HAWKED to offer even more exciting, competitive matches and provide more meta-level, endgame content for pro Renegades. Ranked players can look forward to priority matchmaking with other Ranked Renegades, and no bots to contend with. So get out there, prove yourself among the best of the best, and earn all-new and exclusive cosmetic rewards every Issue as a testament to your progress and improved skills.

Do you have what it takes to be one of the 100 Renegades to reach the title of Legend?
Welcome to Ranked Mode
Treasure hunting is a very competitive line of work. That’s why Renegades should feel right at home in the new PvP-focused Ranked Mode.

It’s the Treasure Hunt mode that you know and love, but this time around, winning gets you closer to exclusive rewards, and losing hurts just a little more. The stakes have never been higher!

To queue up for Ranked, simply switch between CASUAL and RANKED in the Game Modes selector.
Ranked: Key Features
The moment-to-moment gameplay of Ranked Mode is quite similar to your standard Treasure Hunt, but with some notable distinctions.
  • Rankings and Rewards: Winning in Ranked Mode improves your ranking and unlocks exclusive rewards, so you can show off your treasure-hunting prowess to other Renegades out on the hunt. Let everyone know how much of a legend you really are!
  • Played with Trios: Ranked is played exclusively in Treasure Hunt (Squads). Competition is always more fun as a team!
  • Separate Queue: Ranked matches will generally only include players who’ve also queued up for Ranked. If you need more players, we’ll pull Renegades from the regular non-Ranked matchmaking queue (these players will not have their rank affected and will not be able to squad up with Ranked players).
  • No Bots: To the disappointment of our AI overlords, Ranked Mode will not feature any bot Renegades (though Disciples and other foes are still very much kicking about).
Ranking System & Rewards
The ranking system in HAWKED contains six ranks: Rookie, Prospect, Respected, Iconic, Notorious, and Legend. Each rank (with the exception of Legend) contains five divisions (e.g. Rookie I, Prospect III, Iconic IV, etc.).

All Renegades start at the rank of Rookie (I) with 0 Rating Points. After every successfully completed match, you’ll gain Rating Points and rise through the divisions to reach the next rank. Once a new rank is achieved, you can unlock an exclusive Banner and Weapon Pattern that’s only accessible to other Renegades of the same rank.

The highest rank awarded is Legend. This most prestigious title can be held by a maximum of 100 players at a time, so you’re in for a challenge. From there, ranking is determined solely based on Rating Points.

Find out more about each rank below, including how many Rating Points you need to attain each Division.
ROOKIE
This is the rank all Renegades start out with. There are no rewards for Rookies, but it’s onwards and upwards from here!
  • Rookie I: 0 Rating Points
  • Rookie II: 1,000 Rating Points
  • Rookie III: 2,000 Rating Points
  • Rookie IV: 3,000 Rating Points
  • Rookie V: 4,000 Rating Points
PROSPECT
The only way is up! Your prospects are looking good, Renegade. Keep at it!
  • Prospect I: 5,000 Rating Points
  • Prospect II: 6,000 Rating Points
  • Prospect III: 7,000 Rating Points
  • Prospect IV: 8,000 Rating Points
  • Prospect V: 9,000 Rating Points
Rewards: Prospect Banner & Prospect Weapon Pattern
RESPECTED
You’re turning heads at GRAIL, Renegade! You’ll be hitting the big leagues in no time.
  • Respected I: 10,000 Rating Points
  • Respected II: 11,000 Rating Points
  • Respected III: 12,000 Rating Points
  • Respected IV: 13,000 Rating Points
  • Respected V: 14,000 Rating Points
Rewards: Respected Banner & Respected Weapon Pattern
ICONIC
Your meteoric rise is the stuff of legends. Show them how far you can go, Renegade!
  • Iconic I: 15,000 Rating Points
  • Iconic II: 16,000 Rating Points
  • Iconic III: 17,000 Rating Points
  • Iconic IV: 18,000 Rating Points
  • Iconic V: 19,000 Rating Points
Rewards: Iconic Banner & Iconic Weapon Pattern
NOTORIOUS
Fortune favors the bad, and you’re one of the baddest of the bunch. Got what it takes to become a Legend, Renegade!
  • Notorious I: 20,000 Rating Points
  • Notorious II: 21,000 Rating Points
  • Notorious III: 22,000 Rating Points
  • Notorious IV: 23,000 Rating Points
  • Notorious V: 24,000 Rating Points
Rewards: Notorious Banner & Notorious Weapon Pattern
LEGEND (TOP 100 RENEGADES)
They’ll still be singing songs about you in 1,000 years, Renegade! Hold steady, revel in the spoils and glory, and don’t let anyone take your crown.
  • Legend: Reach Notorious V, then continue earning Rating Points to rank in the top 100 players, and hold your position.
Rewards: Legend Banner & Legend Weapon Pattern
Earning Rating Points
There are several ways to earn Rating Points and rank up in Ranked Mode:
  • Eliminate another Renegade (the points you receive depend on the rank difference)
  • Assisting in the elimination of another Renegade (the points you receive depend on the rank difference)
  • Extract a Rare Artifact
  • Extract a Common Artifact
How Ranking Works
All you need to know about playing Ranked Mode and how to become a Renegade Legend.
  • Once Account Level 10 is reached, you will be eligible to queue up for a Ranked match. There are no other prerequisites.
  • You start with 0 Rating Points at the rank of Rookie (I).
  • After accumulating 1,000 Rating Points, you will advance to Rookie (II) and will be required to wager some of your Rating Points every time you queue up for a Ranked match.
    • The amount of Rating Points required to wager depends on your rank and division.
  • If you wager on and win a Ranked match, you will receive Rating Points and continue to ascend the ranks.
  • Upon losing a ranked match, you lose the wagered Rating Points and your division may drop should your Rating Points drop below the threshold.
  • To give you a decent head-start, you won’t drop divisions until you reach Iconic.
    • For example: If you have a bad losing streak while you’re on Respected V, you won’t drop to Respected IV.
  • You can only drop divisions, not rank.
    • For example: If a player reaches Notorious rank, the lowest rank they can drop to is Notorious I.
    • Even if your head’s not in the game, you won’t lose everything you’ve achieved in Ranked Mode and still have a chance to make a comeback.

With every rank, you can earn exclusive cosmetics that tell everyone how much business you mean. For all Renegades looking for a little more than friendly competition, Ranked Mode will definitely provide the rush of adrenaline you’ve been looking for.
