HAWKED dares you to become a Renegade and commence the ultimate treasure hunt. This free-to-play extraction shooter features adventurous exploration, daring PvP and PvE encounters, and a bounty of ancient treasures ripe for the taking. With free Early Access right around the corner on PC and consoles on the way in early 2024, there’s never been a better time to join the hunt! 

The adventure starts with Issue #1: Renegades. This first seasonal chapter introduces Renegades to the treasure-hunting organization GRAIL, their submersible headquarters aboard the Riftwake, and the mysterious, treasure-filled island known as X-Isle. Hone your skills and get to know GRAIL’s top brass by taking on quests, and grab as much loot as you can from the Renegade Pass!

[h2]GRAIL Tooltips Explained[/h2]
You’ll find loads of items scattered about X-Isle or available to purchase from GE-O. Fortunately, GRAIL’s got a good record of what’s what, and is happy to share via your tooltips. You’ll find most items tagged as “Hunt”, “Utility” or “Survival”.

Providing extra attack power and rewards for dishing out damage and killing targets, “Hunt” items are for the more aggressive Renegade that prefers to rush in guns ablaze and is probably not too focused on the treasure side of hunting.
[h2]Gears[/h2]
No matter your playstyle, the tactical ability of Exo Gear alongside the support ability of Ward Gear is your bread and butter to braving the mysteries of X-Isle. Choose wisely, as they’ll be the core abilities you take with you into the jungle.

While you have a limited choice for starters, the more you play the more Hawks you’ll earn to buy new utilities and adapt your playstyle. That includes options like temporary invisibility with the Fringe Fader, or rocking the scene with area-of-effect blasts using the Shock Rocker. 
[h2]Artifacts[/h2]
Artifacts are everything. not only are they the top loot to plunder from X-Isle, but they also pack some neat powers if you take them with you on future hunts! Each Artifact bestows its own unique ability on the player, and with three slots available, there’s a lot of mixing and matching that can be done!
[h2]Boosters[/h2]
Lastly we have Boosters, extra supplies to take with you on your adventures. Unlocked by raising your GRAIL loyalty or available for purchase with Hawks (a currency earned through regular gameplay), the wide variety of boosts (get it?) Boosters provide means they pack a wild mix of punches with different combinations. There’s a catch though! Boosters you take with you are lost to the wilds in the event of an unsuccessful extraction—but what treasure hunt doesn’t come with its risks?

Meanwhile, “Utility” items empower abilities for that extra stride to explore the island, as well as helping to track targets and unusual tricks in combat like using a disguise.

While the other two categories are more tailored to the playstyle of a Renegade on the frontlines, “Support” items help you help your allies by restoring shields, regaining health, and procuring additional supplies during your expedition.
[h2]RENEGADE BUILDS[/h2]
We covered all the basics needed to get a gist of how to specialize your Renegade, but here are a few builds worth trying out! They’re by no means ‘meta’, they’re just a few of our crew’s favorite combinations for your inspiration–and you’ll certainly find areas to improve on your preferred playstyle on your own.


Exploration is what it’s all about, no care for everyday problems like barbaric lizards and dwindling resources. You set foot on X-Isle and leave with more treasures than you can carry–you’re certainly a favorite of your employers’.




It’s not about what you loot, it’s about what you shoot… and the more rapid, the deadlier. Disciples or Renegades, it doesn’t matter. There’s no time to check targets when there are red bars to deplete.




Patience and precision. No matter the chaos; a good ambush here and a few accurate shots there and the spoils are all yours.




Every badass group has one. The glue that holds it all together, keeping everyone’s health, strength, and spirits high. They’re sometimes hesitant to admit it, but everyone knows things would be way riskier without support.




The antithesis of The Gunner, Ninjas fight close up and deadly. Even the most well-prepared squad is wise to be cautious of running into this build.




They can turn the tide of any odds with the selection of trump cards up their sleeve. Prepared for any situation, and an unpleasant surprise for any opponent expecting a fair fight.
