Gamescom 2022 roundup.
Thank you to everyone who joined us at Gamescom. We were thrilled to show off some Kingdom Eighties gameplay and loved hearing your feedback.

We'll be at PAX West this week if you want to have a go yourself (Level 4, Booth 745!) But if you can't make it, that's okay; we have a little sneak peek of the gameplay right here:

We also have a message to share from the top Monarch himself! 👑
Gordon Van Dyke: The backstory [of Kingdom Eighties]; you’re a camp counselor when these mysterious creatures attack, you’re given a Crown of Creation to lead the kids to defeat the Greed and save your town and families. Along the adventure you recruit some npc friends who will join the adventure as you battle your way from camp to the town, and the finally standoff with the Greed.
The motivation for the summer camp was for the story with the bonus it would feel familiar to Kingdom players, and a solid setting for new players to learn the mechanics. Once you escape the summer camp to your suburban neighborhood is where the settings really change taking you somewhere very new for each level.
Why the 80s? I was 5 to 15 through the 80s, so the location and references to the 80s comes from my own childhood. 😊
Keep your eyes peeled for more blogs and streams in the future!
