Lootun 0.8 Preview: Divine Items

Greetings Everyone. Welcome to the first of a short series of previews for the upcoming 0.8 content update. In this preview I will cover the new Divine Items that can be found in the 0.8 Factions Update.

Divine Items:

Divine Items are a new Rarity of Item that can be found rarely by defeating most Bosses in the game. Divine Items have the same number of Attributes as Mythical Items but have unique Item Bonuses instead of the usual Bonus Attributes.



[h3]Drop Locations:[/h3]
In 0.8 most Bosses in the game will have at least 1 Divine Item that can drop from them with some of the more challenging Bosses offering multiple Divine Items. By default Divine Items drop very rarely but can be found more frequently as you gain more Luck and Fortune.



[h3]Divine Attributes:[/h3]
In addition to their unique Item Bonuses, Divine Items always roll with Max Attribute Ranks and will automatically update to the new Max Rank as you add Paragon Levels to the Item. Divine Items also do not cost Upgrade Cores when Rerolling, Randomising or Transmuting Attributes, meaning when you obtain a Divine Item you can cheaply craft your desired Attributes onto the Item.



As I continue to develop Lootun and work through the Roadmap I plan to add more Divine Items into the game with each major update.

[h2]Enchant Stacking:[/h2]
Currently in Lootun you only gain the effect of each Enchant once regardless of how many copies of the Enchant you have equipped. In 0.8 many Enchants will be stackable allowing you to improve the effect of the Enchant by equipping multiple copies. Stackable effects are displayed as a bracketed number in green.



This stacking system also applies to Divine Item Bonuses.

0.7.2 Changelog 28.01.23

  • Introduced a new "Character Tactics" panel that can be used to set Auto Cast conditions for your Offensive and Defensive Cooldowns. The Characters Tactics panel is unlocked by the Barracks Upgrade.
  • The Damage Meter now displays the total damage dealt by each Character with the option to view each Characters damage breakdown.
  • The Damage Meter now displays DoT damage dealt by Skills separately from the Hit Damage.

  • Offensive and Defensive Cooldowns are no longer affected by Monster Taunts.
  • Occult Gloves now grant +30% Critical Damage (Was +25%).

[h2]Bug Fixes:[/h2]
  • Fixed a bug where some Assassin passives were still active after unlearning the Assassin Ascendancy.
  • Fixed a bug where Slaying Bosses in Bounties would not grant Achievement Progress.
  • Fixed a bug where the Vanish – Darkness buff would sometimes show with the wrong stack size.
  • Fixed a bug where the "Max Attribute Ranks" cost was not being calculated correctly in some situations.
  • Fixed a bug where Focus stacks were not saving correctly.
  • The Item Tooltip display on the Blacksmith menu now correctly updates when using "Max Attribute Ranks" or "Max Sockets".
  • Fixed a bug where the "Auto Socket Equipment" was not correctly updating when selecting a new Character.
  • Fixed a bug where Gems could only be equipped into the first Gem Slot while in the Blacksmith Menu.
  • Fixed a bug where Overkill damage was not being calculated correctly for the Damage Meter.

Lootun 0.7.1 Update Notes

  • The Item Comparator will now skip Ascendancy Relics that are of a different type to the equipped Relic.
  • Item tooltips now display the current Imbuement.
  • Added a new Craft: Imprint Attributes that can be unlocked from the Artisan's Hall Rank 6.
  • Sorting an Inventory by Item Level, Rarity or Item Type now presorts the Inventory by Item Name.

  • Added a Character equipment panel to the Blacksmith Menu for quick access to crafting on equipped items.

Lootun 0.7 Agony Update

The 0.7 Agony Update is now live! This update features new Endgame content, new Items to hunt for, new Item Upgrade Crafts, a complete rework of the Ascendancy System and much more! Please find the full update notes below:

  • The Ascendancy Relics attribute pool has been updated and standardised. It should now be slightly easier to get a Relic with the exact attribute that you want.

  • The Mine, Forest, and Farm Rank 6 Upgrade now grants an additional Worker Slot.
  • Blacksmith Ranks 4 and 5 now grant the ability to Craft Legendary and Mythical Rarity Equipment.

  • Each Infamy Level now grants Bounty Monsters 60% More Health (Was 40%).

  • Introduced a new Minimum Paragon Level which is 5 levels below the Max available for each Bounty. For example Infamy Level 8 Bounties will now grant a Minimum Paragon Level of 3. This will only apply to Bounties created from 0.7 onwards.
  • The Base Paragon Upgrade Chance for Bounties is now 5% (Was 10%).

  • Fixed a bug where some Attributes that can be granted by other Attributes were not updating in the Character Stat Sheet correctly. (For example Bleed Avoidance from Ailment Avoidance).

Lootun 0.7 Beta Release

I am pleased to announce that the Beta for the 0.7 Update has now been released! Please find below information on how to access the Beta alongside the 0.7 Changelog.

Beta Information:

The 0.7 Beta is content complete however you may experience bugs or balance issues. I anticipate that the beta will run for around 2 weeks before 0.7 is fully released.

[h2]Save Data:[/h2]
The Beta will make use of your current Save Data and any progress you make during the Beta will be carried forward to the full release. Due to this you will be unable to play the beta and then return to the live version of the game (0.6.7) with the same save file. If you intend to play the Beta I strongly recommend that you create a backup of your save data.

Save data can be found at: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Lootun

Alternatively you can create a backup of your save data in-game by using the Export Save button and then importing your save data into a new save slot.

The Lootun Beta also introduces a number of new in-game Achievements for the new content. Once 0.7 is fully released these Achievements will be added to Steam and any you have obtained in game will be automatically granted upon loading your save data.

You can gain access to the Beta through Steam. To do so, locate Lootun in your library -> Right Click -> Properties… -> Betas -> Enter the code “LootunBetaTest” and select the 0.7 Beta option from the list.
