Content Update: New Goos, New Items, New ways to play!

Hey! Long time no see. We have been in the lab cooking up the largest update ever for Goo Gladiators. Over 20 new goos new items and some nice 'quality of life' improvements. Lets get into it!

Omni Goos

We have added a new group of Goos! These new Goos have come to mix up the arena. They work differently than the base game goos as instead of mutating multiple times (Base goo -> Golem -> Moss For example.) The goos you can get will vary depending on the base goo you use!

You start with two base Omni Goos, your next two base goos you get have an Extra eye untill you get to the third that has three eyes and physic powers! Each Omni goo will mutate differently depending on what goo they are. Omni with one eye given a paint pallet will turn into something different than one with three eyes for example! With this all goos in the Omni goo group are all one of four new Types of goos, Omni, Space, Art or Food. Food goos are not meant for eating, but for battle in the gladiatorial arena.

Arena Run Changes
Starting a new Run has been changed!

You now can pick your Goos you want to do a run with with at the start of each run. This will make it easier to swap between strategies quickly without having to go to the storeroom in the lab to change them out.

As well have changed how Private Matches work. Previously each player would pick their own Goos to play with. Now we have changed it to where the Host will pick the goos that the whole match will play with! This will let anyone in the match use the Host's Goos even if they haven't unlocked them.

Other new things

We have added a ton more new small improvements and new things throughout the game. Three new background. The surface of a planet (for the new space goos) A kitchen (for the new food goos) and lastly an art museum for the art goos! (Featuring some familiar faces)

On top of that we have added some new Icons headlined by the lovely Cocoa Puff.

Lastly we have gone through and made a lot of the interface of the game scale a lot nicer on larger screens. So you no longer have to squint to see goos on your extra large monitor!

Final Thoughts and what is next!?

As always thank you all so much for enjoying Goo Gladiators watching all the cool teams that you guys have sent into the arena is one of our favorite things to do. If you have something new would you like to see in the game please don't hesitate to let us know here on the Steam Forums or on our Discord. For the rest of the year we want to have at least one more big update that would include a new game mode and some more new Goos for ALL of the existing goo groups. Also do expect a few small update once we figure out some more of the balance with the new Goos!
