Better Bots Update is LIVE

[h3]Better Bots is all about better Workerbots and efficiency![/h3][p]
Introducing the Better Bots Update[/p][p]We've dedicate several weeks to quality of life improvements and bug fixes and we are now culminating those efforts in the Better Bots Update to showcase it all and shift gears into finalising the next region. [/p][p]
Workerbot Hardpoint Pickup[/p][p]The biggest improvement introduced in this update is the ability to pick Workerbots up onto your Hardpoint. This makes dropping workers up on ledges or down into valley much easier and pairs incredibly well with the Catapults and Crushers. [/p][p][/p][p]It also makes it possible to flip workers back onto their wheel without the need for a gravity tether. [/p][p][/p][p]Workerbot Dispatch[/p][p]It is now possible to use the delivery upgrade to dispatch Workerbots. You can hold and drag a line to designate a path for them to follow knowing they will vacuum up chips along the way or you can just request they come to you so that you can pick them up. [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Workerbot Order Assignment[/p][p]Workers now choose orders based on proximity so you will see less of them transiting aimlessly ignoring things right next to them that could have been taken. [/p][p]Workers now also take over jobs from other workers if they became available and are much closer to the task. This makes loading Crushers and Catapults much more efficient as bots don't head back to the shuttle the moment they drop their cargo, but rather look around and see if they can take work from one of their colleagues who is headed here but still far away. [/p][p]We have also improved the loading interactions for the Crane and Catapult and the Crusher has been added to the transit network so now when you happen to block the path to the shuttle when placing the Crusher the workers will still see it as a valid connection and drop resources there correctly. [/p][p]
New Equipment - Toolbox
[/p][p]We have also added a new piece of equipment for you to bring with you to the asteroid - the Toolbox. This box caries copies of all your Commandbot Tools and allows you to re-configure you bot out in the field the same way you would if you were on the shuttle. Now you can grab a blaster and put away your scanner whenever you need. [/p][p][/p][p]
Other Quality of life improvements [/p][p]We have overhauled the Hardpoint interface to make it easier to load and unload your equipment between the Shuttle and Commandbot [/p][p]The return to station popup now recognises the region you are in chooses the corresponding station as the default, also displaying the distances to the other station choices. [/p][p]The Q Radial now has a BACK option located in the center allowing you to better navigate the radial menus. [/p][p][/p][p]Cube Credit values are now presented in both the Tooltip and Storage view to give you a better idea of the value of each resource you encounter. [/p][p]The asteroids now travel in both directions through your mining claim, not just one like before. [/p][p]We have also added a suite of debug / support options for getting your bots unstuck [/p][p][/p][h3]Daily Deal! Special Bundles! More Cool Games!

Version 0.75.7a - Workerbot Hotfixes

Back in a flash with some hotfixes for bugs found off of ongoing reports! Thank you for reporting.

  • Fixed issue where Workerbots would lock up around Surface Crusher
  • Fixed issue where Crane would not pick up Workerbot if it was slightly too far away

Version 0.75.7 - Workerbot Fixes and other improvements

Hello! Dropping in with another set of improvements and fixes - this time focused on workerbots locking up.

  • Fixed issue where Gravity Tether could grab Workerbots / Resources being moved by crane
  • Fixed bug where Workerbots would freeze up around cranes/catapults
  • Improved workerbot job handling - Workers that drop off an item at crusher / catapult now try to takeover nearby tasks from workers that are enroute but farther away.
  • Corrected issue with settings not loading between sessions - still monitoring this one
  • Added Depth of Field toggle to the Graphics Settings
  • Extended Screen Shake toggle to also turn off Camera Sway
  • Improved performance with Ambient Occlusion
  • Fixed resources materials that went dark last update (Biomass, Ruby and others)
  • Fixing high Biomass drops on BT1
  • Adding Biomass drops to plants on TW3

Version 0.75.6 - Knowledge Base Upgrade, Save Slot Data, Asteroids going up!?

Hello! We are here with another set of improvements!

  • Added data to save files
  • Moved Gameplay Settings (Pirate toggle, asteroid speed toggle, manufacturing speed toggle) to only be present in pause menu.
  • Pirate on/off toggle is now max pirate level setting so players can play whole game with pirates remaining at X level or completely turned off.
  • Gameplay settings are now linked to the save file so each slot can have different pirate / asteroid / manufacturing values
  • Extended Knowledge Base
  • Added Employee Profile to Knowledge Base
  • Added Resources List to Knowledge Base
  • Added Resource Details to Knowledge Base
  • Crusher now integrated with transit system. This means the crusher will no longer stop functioning if it happens to block the path to the shuttle when placed and will work in other scenarios
    independently.
  • Asteroids now travel in both north and south direction
  • Crusher no longer taking liquid resources
  • Visual optimizations improving performance focused on shadow casting, improving batching and
    reducing triangle counts to optimize and speed up gameplay.
  • Improvements to asteroid cloud shader to improve performance.
  • Improvements to Gem Resource shader to improve performance.
  • Fixed asteroid tags showing through Information Panel on Map Screen
  • Reduced volume of extracted liquids for very large pools
