Spring equinox is behind us and the sun is shining down on our settlements. As promised last week, we just released a brand-new update for Land of the Vikings, addressing some of the issues you highlighted over the past few months – from bug fixes to brand-new features.

First of all, a critical issue that previously prevented the game from launching has been resolved. If you continue to run into this bug, please report it to us on Steam or Discord.

Additionally, we have added a new "Return to Longhouse" button in the bottom-left menu, enabling you to quickly return to the village center with just one click or by pressing the ‘M’ key.



We’ve improved the Thrall notification system! Notifications related to thralls will no longer appear when there are none in your colony, streamlining your gameplay. To improve usability of workers in general, the worker selection pop-up window has been expanded, making it easier to manage your resources.



We have made adjustments to disaster balancing, modifying the impact and frequency of disasters for a more enjoyable gameplay experience. We also addressed happiness issues that emerged as the population grew, ensuring a more stable environment for your villagers.

The cruel winter months are behind us, and nature is beginning to sprawl again. To celebrate the coming of forår, or spring, we’ll be rolling out a brand new update for Land of the Vikings next week!

Our springtime tidings include a few fixes and feature additions, requested by the community:

• Crash Fix: A critical issue that prevented the game from launching has likely been resolved. (If you still encounter this issue, please make sure to report it to us.)
  
• Return to Longhouse Button: A new button has been added to the bottom-left menu, allowing you to return to the village center with a single click. The M shortcut key can also be used for this function.
  
• Larger Worker Selection Window: The pop-up window for selecting workers has been enlarged for better usability.
  
• Disaster Balancing: The impact and frequency of disasters have been adjusted for better game balance.
  
• Happiness Adjustment: Happiness issues that arose as the population increased have been balanced.
  
• Thrall Notification Fix: Notifications related to serfdom will no longer appear when there are no thralls in the village.
  
• General Bug Fixes and Improvements: Numerous minor issues have been addressed, along with various optimizations to improve the overall gameplay experience.
