We’re back with a brand new Hinterblog, and as promised in our recent Hinterblog –
Biome Break Down! we’re diving deeper into the dungeons!
Ok maybe not diving, more like a steady decent “Dungeons of Hinterberg” is one big spoiler, yes we can confirm there are in fact dungeons, and yes they are located in a place called Hinterberg. Insert mind blown emoji am I right?
Ok, now that we have that one big revelation out the way, worry not our spoiler avoiding adventurers, throughout this blog we’ll be focussing on elements of dungeons found in the early section of the game and won’t reveal any story plots.
Back in Hinterblog –
What is Hinterberg, we talked about how Hinterberg is a new tourism spot attracting adventurers and tourists from all over the world. In fact, some call it the ultimate slaycation. Wow, what a word, whoever came up with that deserves a raise, but why do they call it a slaycation? I’m glad you asked!
Dungeons are “the” go to attraction for our visitors in Hinterberg. Yes, there are plenty of beautiful places to visit, activities to enjoy, people to meet, all adding to your slaycation, but dungeons are your chance to conquer your fears, put your puzzle solving prowess to the test, and slay some mysterious monsters.
“Sounds like a challenge, I’m in!”
I love your enthusiasm! 25 dungeons have appeared throughout Hinterberg and the overworlds within, but how do you enter them?
Portals are your doorway to each dungeon
Magical portals have appeared across Hinterberg, you’ll find them as you explore the four overworlds!
Are you ready?
Finding dungeons will be a challenge, and you may find you lack the strength to take on some. You’re free to leave overworlds and come back when you’re ready.
Dungeons are going to throw many challenges your way, and depending on the overworld you’re in, you’ll rely on specific skills which you’ll acquire on your journey to defeat them.
Not only will you be faced with magical monsters of varying difficulty, you’ll be faced with a series of puzzles that you’ll need to solve in order to progress though each dungeon.
Dungeons are not to be taken lightly, be careful as you fight your way through, you never know what kind of dangers are waiting around each corner.
Weee! This might look fun, but keep a close out for obstacles! 
What? You didn’t think you’d get an easy ride did you? “Wow that sounds like a lot of hard work, what do I get for doing all that?”
At the end of each dungeon you’ll find a Stamp Station. Make sure you stamp your book otherwise the exit portal won’t open, and you’ll want this to show off to all the locals and your friends and show them how many dungeons you’ve conquered and just how awesome you are!
Oh one last thing, dungeons have loot, so it would be wise to explore! You may come across certain chests that you can’t open just yet, but we’re sure there’s someone in the village who could probably help with that...
