Hello, Magic Apprentices!

We hope you’ve been having a magical experience in Affogato. As you journey through Arorua City, you’ll soon discover that it's not just your wits and decisions in the café that matter, but also on the mystical battlefield as you delve deeper into the minds of your customers. Here, your Witch cards aren't merely tools; they are your comrades in arms, ready to battle against inner demons. In this article, we’ll be taking you on a Witch Card tour as we showcase some of them, their abilities and how you can acquire them!

[h2]The Moon[/h2]

First off, we have The Moon, a Witch card that draws strength as the tides of battle change. Each time an ally falls or is summoned back, it empowers The Moon with random buffs such as HP regeneration, ATK increase, or a Penta charge. This unpredictable advantage keeps your strategies flexible and your opponents guessing. You can acquire The Moon card from Mephista’s shop.

[h2]The Lovers[/h2]

Next, meet The Lovers. United in adversity, this card is your sword and shield, reflecting damage dealt to them back to the enemy and ensuring that every confrontation is a double-edged clash. In addition, when fully charged, you’ll receive a The Lovers: Stealth card in your inventory which when cast, will bring your team into Stealth state for those decisive, blindsided strikes! You’ll acquire The Lovers card after defeating the Chapter 3 boss.

[h2]Judgment[/h2]

Behold Judgment, the luminous avenger. Unlike other Witch card, Judgment does not charge energy through its attacks. Instead, its luminous strikes imprint a Mark of Judgment on enemies. When you stack a total of 3 marks, witness a spectacular explosion of energy, dealing massive damage to the marked enemies. You can acquire the Judgment card from Mephista’s card shop.

[h2]The Empress[/h2]

The Empress is a Witch card that wields a charm like a blade, where each successful strike will provide you with a charge. When fully charged, The Empress: Charm card will be bestowed upon you, adding an edge of seduction and control to your tactical arsenal. You’ll acquire the Empress card after finishing Lindsay’s side story.

[h2]The Sun[/h2]

And finally, introducing The Sun, a formidable Witch card that has one of the highest Penta summoning costs in the game. However, its unique prowess lies in a dynamic deployment cost, reducing each time with an ally’s sacrifice or strategic withdrawal. But wait - its brilliance doesn't end there! Upon its defeat or withdrawal from the battlefield, it triggers a radiant blast in the surrounding areas, leaving devastation in its wake! The Sun will be available for purchase from Mephista’s card shop after reaching a certain point in the story.

[h2]New Update: Patch 1.0.19[/h2]

Hold onto your wands because we’ve just rolled out a new update, fresh from the opentest beta branch! The update includes new phone dialogues with some of our enchanting characters, a new difficulty option, a new level challenge mode, on top of more feature optimizations and bug fixes.

[h3]Content Updates[/h3]

• Game difficulty adjustment: We’ve added in a new “Normal” difficulty which will ensure a more balanced gameplay. “Normal” difficulty has been renamed to “Hard” difficulty. ”Hard” difficulty has been renamed to “Hell” difficulty.
  
• Added a new mode for players who have completed the game to replay previous reverse tower defense levels.
  
• New phone dialogues have been added for Aoi, Ema, and Hina, further enriching their storylines.
  

[h3]Optimizations[/h3]

• Improved the Witch Card Shop introduction: Detailed explanations of the witch cards have been added.
  
• When interacting with possessed NPCs, players will now have the option to start the battle through a secondary confirmation button instead of jumping straight into battle.
  
• Optimized the name of some checkpoints in certain levels.
  
• Optimized how checkpoints record the position and order of the Witch Cards.
  
• Increased the probability of triggering the positive effects of the Wheel of Fate. After triggering a negative effect, the next one will be a positive effect.
  
• Optimized “The World" healing target to prioritize units with the lowest percentage of health - not the units with the lowest value of health.
  
• The "Work Till You Die" and "Desensitization Therapy" achievements have been removed.
  

[h3]Bug Fixes[/h3]

• Fixed a potential issue in the final boss stage on Easy difficulty that could prevent the stage completion.
  
• Fixed the issue where level 2-2 could not be cleared if the enemies in the level are silenced.
  
• Fixed the issue where tasks from the previous week did not disappear in the second week.
  
• Fixed the occasional disappearance of the map, backpack, and phone buttons.
  
• Fixed a glitch in the third segment of the police side plot where making the wrong coffee could freeze the game.
  
• Fixed the issue where the memory effects did not disappear after reading a memory.
  
• Fixed an issue where the selection state of the first character would change when pressing 'F' to add points.
  
• Fixed a bug where players will be able to switch to other cards during the Witch card upgrade tutorial.
  
• Fixed some errors in conversational text and mobile phone news text.
