Yet Another Fantasy Title (YAFT) News

The WePlay Expo in Shanghai is one of our favorite events, an opportunity to meet players and independent creators from Asia. This time, it was another important opportunity for us to present our game, to check and understand the scale of challenges associated with the game's language localization, to make it fun and understandable in different languages and parts of the world.







The feedback we received from players and industry participants were extremely positive. Your enthusiasm and constructive criticism are invaluable to us – it helps us refine 'YAFT' and tailor it even better to your expectations.





Thank you all, and we can't wait for the next occasion to meet you. We deeply hope to showcase YAFT at the PAX East Expo in Boston in March '24.

[h2]Hello Adventurers,[/h2]

First hands-on with a new game is always a super stressful moment for the creator. You can't make any more changes, all you can do is watch and gather feedback. For us, the first time we publicly presented "Yet Another Fantasy Title" to players was at our local video game trade show - PGA.

During the three days of the event, hundreds of people played YAFT and shared their impressions and ideas for improvements. We don't want to jinx it, but we think it went pretty well!

We're still working on the game as we have loads of new ideas! We can't wait to finally drop the demo for everyone here on Steam. We'll do it during the upcoming 'Next' festival, which kicks off in early February.

Wit, spice, and a good price... These were the ingredients to create the perfect... PR manager? Saving the world anywhere and anytime. And with some unusual methods, indeed. That's what makes a good PR manager, though. Who would like to see the same cliche marketing phrases saying that you're the greatest hero of them all when you can just dress as a werebeaver, scare some local elves and dwarfs, and later pretend you've killed the furry bastard? Yeah, everyone knows that werebeavers aren't real, but who says you can't prove them wrong? Or maybe they are indeed real and very much alive? Ooops...



[h2]Meet Eliandra[/h2]
Eliandra is an elegant, good-looking elven lady who knows her way with words. Trust me, you would believe in every shitty story she tells you without even a moment of hesitation.
Her earnings come mainly from making up facts and lying to people. She doesn't even waste time anymore to think if something is true or false. What matters, is the final effect her clients require. You could even say that Challenge is her second name. The bigger the nonsense she has to sell, the more excited she gets. If there was a Nobel prize for being able to sell everybody everything and make them pay thrice the required amount for it, she would win it without a doubt.
Oh, and she has the werebeaver outfit at home. Don't ask us where did she get it from, though.

[h2]Eliandra's story[/h2]
It all started with working for the king. The young elven copywriter first wrote articles for the city council. Her talent soon became known throughout the industry, and she began writing articles for royal heralds. Her reputation preceded her so much that soon she got assigned to the most difficult task in the entire kingdom's history - preventing the consequences of the Great Incest Crisis. You don't know what it was? Well, thank Eliandra!

[h2]Let me tell you a story about Grindalf[/h2]
Once upon a time, before the Dragon ate the King, Grindalf was the most powerful wizard in the kingdom. The Court Wizard. A living legend. His successful experiments were taking everyone's breaths away, and those unsuccessful ones were getting so cleverly hidden that no one really cared. When he declared: "You shall not pass!", even the king himself tiptoed around the land.
Today, Grindalf is a weird old man known for nice fireworks shows. At first glance, he's done with wizarding. At a second glance as well. Sometimes, however, you need to look thrice.

Let us know what you think about Grindalf! Will he become our hero's best friend, a mentor everyone else can only dream of, or the worst nightmare of an enemy?
