Community Update #11 | Everything you need to know before the update

[p]Dear Carants, [/p][p][/p][p]As you may already know, our next major update is dropping on November 17th. We've been hard at work behind the scenes, and we're super excited to finally share with you what we’ve been working on.[/p][p][/p][p]This post is here to give you all the information you’ll need to know and prepare for before the update arrives. Whether you’re planning to dive in on day one or just curious about what’s coming, this will get you up to speed.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]This has been one of the most requested features from the community, and we’re happy to deliver![/p][p][/p][p]When the update goes live, we’ll be providing custom save files* that drop you right into specific parts of the game. Whether you want to play the new content, explore late-game systems, or just skip the early-game grind, you’ll be able to.[/p][p][/p][h3]How to use the save file?[/h3][p]When you’ll download the new update, a new folder will automatically appear in your game’s files. In it, you’ll find the different save files.[/p][p][/p][p]To access the new folder from Steam:[/p]

• [p]Right-click on your game in your Library[/p]
• [p]Go to [c]Manage[/c][/p]
• [p]Select [c]Browse local files[/c][/p]
• [p]Find the folder named [c]content_gamesaves[/c][/p]

[p][/p][p]With those save files, you’ll be able to choose how you want to start the game:[/p]

• [p]Start a new game from scratch.[/p]
• [p]Use a save file to load the game at the end of the Uxantis quest – before you get the Constanzia.[/p]
  • [p][c]Uxantis_F.fsav[/c] or [c]Uxantis_M.fsav[/c][/p]
• [p]Use a save file to load the game at the end of the previous update content in Olima – before you can access Peren, the new region introduced with the update.[/p]
  • [p][c]Olima_F.fsav[/c] or [c]Olima_M.fsav[/c][/p]

[p][/p][p]We've provided you with the choice to pick between a male (M) protagonist or a female (F) protagonist depending on your preferences[/p][p]Your character in those files won’t be customizable, but you’ll have all the points available to upgrade the skill trees as you’d like, and you’ll find memory stones** in your inventory to manage your attributes too. [/p][p][/p][h3]How to load the save file?[/h3][p]For the save to be properly loaded, before launching the game, you’ll need to:[/p]

• [p]Copy the save file you want to use from the [c]content_gamesaves[/c] folder[/p]
• [p]Go to your GreedFall 2’s documents located in [c]C:\\USER\\Documents\\GreedFall 2[/c][/p]
• [p]Paste the save file here – just make sure that it’s a .fsav file[/p]
• [p]You’re good to go! You can now launch the game and load the new save[/p]

[p][/p][p]To make sure that you don’t confuse the new save files with your older one – you can check the timestamp at the top of the save selection menu. The saves will indicate the date of 29-10-2025 at 5:40PMish.[/p][p][/p][p]We hope this makes it easier for you to jump straight into what you’re most excited about, and for us to gather better feedback as development continues.[/p][p][/p][p]*These save files will only work for the upcoming new version of the game. When the game officially releases in 2026, you won’t be able to use them.[/p][p]**To use the memory stones, you can either go to camp, go to the Constanzia or go to your house in Teer Fradee – there, you just have to open the attributes menu and respecialize (pressing “F” on keyboard).[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Sadly, the next update won’t include Japanese and Korean language support. We are actively working on reintroducing them for the official release and will keep you updated when we have more information. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. [p][/p][h2]New Character Creator[/h2][p]The character creator has been completely overhauled. You now have full control to sculpt every detail of your face: eyes, ears, nose, jawline, and more… You’ll be able to create a look that’s uniquely yours (or as wonderfully weird as you want).[/p]

Expect greater freedom to customize your playstyle – whether you want to enjoy a more tactical approach or be focused on the action on the battlefield – a revamped armour system, clearer on-screen information, and more responsive, dynamic battles.[/p]
