Patch 2.2.6

[p]Ahoy Seaorama Captains! ⚓️

We’re excited to announce that Update 2.2.6 for Seaorama: World of Shipping is now live! This update includes essential fixes and enhancements to improve your gameplay experience.

Here's what's new:

Adjustable Morale:
Crew members lose morale when they spend too many days on the ship. Eventually, they will need to go on a hiatus (reach 25%) to recuperate and be available again (after 75%). As for now, this only applies to new sessions of Hard Mode and the new season of Ranked Mode.

Auto Rehire: You can set the Auto Rehire for crew members who are not only onboard, but off board, on hiatus, or in training.

HR Overview filtering: Added filters in the HR window to better short the crew members you are looking for.

Incremental Ship Names: A QoL update, so when purchasing a new ship of a type you already have, its name will be the type of ship plus an incremental number to know which one is newer without having to open the Operations window.

Used Ships: When a used ship becomes available for sale (buyout), it will appear on the list with the available auctioned ones, at the bottom right of the screen. No need to go to the Purchase menu to look for them.

Automatic Ship Upgrades: An option has been added to the Operations, QoL tab to set the Ship Upgrades to automatic. Now, when an upgrade needs to be renewed, the ship will travel to the nearest shipyard at the next possible time to reinstall it. Also, the Operations Managers will send the ships to the shipyard to do the same if needed.

Ship type controls: Added a button to choose a color for each type of ship category separately and for each ship in the category. Also, a button to turn all trip lines on/off for this category.

Bug fixes regarding the Operations Manager behavior in the late stages when the contracts are larger and when the manager retires.[/c]

We’ve been informed of a recent security vulnerability affecting Unity. Although no malicious activity has been detected in connection with this issue, we’re taking immediate action to keep our players protected.

We’re excited to announce that Update 2.2.5 for Seaorama: World of Shipping is now live! This update includes essential fixes and enhancements to improve your gameplay experience. Here's what's new:

[h2]🆕 New Features[/h2]

  • New log entry when a ship travels to a port for repairs.
  • New Security insurance calculations. Now the cost is only for the trip leading to the port affected by piracy.
  • New R&D window. Unlock upgrades through research to install on your ships and meet the requirements of the crew members. (R&D is available only when you start a new game session. Older saves will use the old format.)
  • A new way of calculating the value of a share of a port, making it more affordable to invest.
  • Added new column with Net Profit visible at Finance & Accounts.


[h2]🔧 Fixes and Improvements[/h2]

  • Improved Details at the Crew Members profile window. Know from before what upgrades to the ship each member will demand at each level and plan ahead with the new R&D department.
  • Improved Details considering the percentage of event avoidance a crew member offers at the Crew Members profile window.
  • Improved Port Investments window. See which ports sell shares, and know their ranking before investing. You can now also sell your shares from one port if you need money to invest elsewhere. AI companies can also buy shares, so be vigilant when new shares become available.
  • Fix incomes/outcomes bugs.
  • Fix Charter contract bug.
  • Workshop packages hotfixes.
  • Better breakdown for percentage and full amount of fuel at the Fuel window in Operations.
  • Changes to Contract bonuses for the Game modes. Easy Mode now gets +60%, Medium Mode gets +30%, and Hard Mode (plus Ranked Mode) gets no bonuses from the contracts.

We’ve just released a new update — Version 2.2.4 — focused on bug fixes, improvements, and clearer guidelines for content creation. This patch addresses several gameplay issues and adds new information to help creators build better packages.

[h2]Fixes and Improvements[/h2]

  • Fixed trip days calculation to ensure more accurate scheduling.
  • Fixed issue where fuel was incorrectly displayed after refueling during a trip stop.
  • Adjusted charterers' contracts for better balance and consistency.
  • Rearranged ship type ordering in certain UI windows for better clarity.


[h2]Workshop Guidelines Update[/h2]

  • We've added new guidelines directly in the Workshop to help you understand what makes a good custom package.
  • The "Fact" section is now optional — it’s no longer a required field in custom package submissions.
