0.95 - Remembrance Tears

New Features

- Most bosses now drop a new item upon first defeat - the Remembrance Tear, which can be used at Remembrance Shrines for additional remembered item slots - if you've already defeated a boss, you should find the Remembrance Tear in your inventory upon loading into this version
- Up to 10 Starry Remembrance Tears, which also can be used to gain additional remembered item slots, can be purchased in New Game Plus
- Added the Guard Ring, which can be found in Chapter 3 and beyond, which reduces damage taken as long as your poise is unbroken, and dramatically increases damage on any attacks that break your poise

Balance Changes

- The effectiveness of shields is now improved with additional Poise (1% per point of Poise)
- The amount of Ancient Blood needed to level up in the Labyrinth Base Camp has been significantly reduced for later levels
- Arena battles now award coins upon completion
- The final arena battle has had its difficulty somewhat reduced
- Skeletons no longer can pass Warding Candles, like other enchanted armor
- Priscilla's Ring has a different function - it now converts curse damage received to physical damage
- Night Mother Outfit has less poise reduction

Polish

- Remembered items have a different icon from permanent items now, and a different color for their text description
- Improved the appearance of the Cursed Ring and Robert's Ring
- Increased the mashing buffer when picking up items to reduce accidental item description skips
- The toggle legibility button has been renamed to "Typeface" for lore items and has been made more obvious

Bug Fixes

- Fix an issue where after purchasing Fashion Records, loading a save may result in a black screen under some circumstances
- Fix the appearance of monster health bars when playing in a non-standard aspect ratio
- Fix icons being misaligned when Remembering items
- Fix an issue where sometimes item displays would not fully scroll to the top
- Fix an issue where an older version of the game could load a newer save(and subsequently get in a bad state)
- Fix an issue where Skeletons, once resurrected by a Necromancer, could not be killed
- Fix the Fashion Record display reading 0/0

Murderess Outfit

Note: After January 24th, you can obtain this outfit from Tomos in Chapter 2/3/4.

0.94 - Comfy Chair

New Features

- Added a "comfy chair" to Study, Upper Parlor and (Chapter 3 and after) Nowhere - this will gradually heal your cursedness without using a Warding Candle, as well as allow for an extended interaction with any dogs in the room

Balance Changes

- Reduced Flame Soldier health by 40%
- The Firework now has a limited travel distance before exploring, so it can no longer go across the entire room
- The price of previous seasonal outfits sold by Tomos has been reduced, and seasonal outfits now have (mild) stat effects

Polish

- The game better supports non-16:9 aspect ratios
- The HUD and select other UI take up the whole screen on Steam Deck(which is 16:10)
- Ultra wide (21:9 and 48:9) displays work properly now, displaying faded black bars at the edges of rooms and during cutscenes
- Your summoned Decoys and Green Shrine mirror Nightingales now wear the outfit you were wearing when you made them
- You can now press the divide slash on the numpad or backslash to file a bug report in addition to / - if you couldn't file a bug report before try again please!
- Item descriptions have been slightly visually rearranged to make more room and the font size for their description increased
- Added sounds for the Mudmen
- You can now peek through basement (crouch only) holes and open Labyrinth jail doors
- The appearance of held jars has been improved, and no longer causes a flickering effect when the lantern is held alongside one
- Added FX to hitting stone enemies
- Hunting NPCs now play their hunt cinematic after you finish purchasing, so you can more easily purchase multiple organs at a time
- The NPC in the East Attic Stairwell in Chapter 3 and beyond now has a hunt cinematic

Bug Fixes

- Fixed an issue where the Nail Trap and Paralysis Trap would trigger instantly when wearing certain costumes and sometimes would not show their FX
- Fix an issue where some NPCs such as Felix in Storage would not move properly until starting a new night under some circumstances
- Fix Fashion Records clearing your left hand equipped item
- Fix an issue where the caged ghoul in the tutorial could cause a softlock under some circumstances
- Fix the Masoleum and Cemetery gates swinging open unexpectedly upon returning to them
- Fix the Stone Armor not playing an animation when being enchanted
- Fix an issue where question marks would appear spuriously on the map in the Barricaded Rooms of Chapter 3 and any spawn room with a present table
- Fix an issue where some enemies, such as the Corpulent Zombie, would not turn around and attack when shot from a distance
- Fix an issue where the Broken Shotgun could be found multiple times
- Fix an issue where you could become stuck in the Curse Form animation, or various status effect animations

0.93 - Labyrinth Updates

New Features

- Tomos now sells 5 Fashion Records in Chapter 2 and beyond - these items let you capture and recall equipped item loadouts so you can rapidly switch between, say, an "Exploration" ring/outfit setup and a "Melee" ring/outfit setup
- A new area has been added to the Labyrinth mid level - the Labyrinth Market Street



- A new NPC, The Fetid Hag, has been added to one of the Labyrinth jail cells



  • She sells "Hagsacks", which are Permanent, give you the items inside upon use, and come in three varieties:
  • Gold Hagsack - lets you store gold and retrieve it from the sack after dying or whenever needed
  • Tool Hagsacks - store a collection of useful items, such as the Spell Hagsack that contains 12 scrolls/books - great for if you run out of consumables and are not near a crafting station
  • Prize Hagsacks - these are guaranteed to give you a ring or other item you don't have

- A new NPC, Eira the Finger Collector, has been added to one of the buildings along Labyrinth Market Street



  • She can upgrade your Labyrinth rings - strengthening their Blessings and weakening their Curses - up to a max of +3

- A new monster, Sage Armor, has been added to the Labyrinth Market Street
- The Old Shield left hand item has been added, and can be found in the Labyrinth and in the Melee Hagsack

Balance Changes

- The Mirror shield now blocks 25% physical damage
- The Night Mother Disciple boss has been given new attacks to deal with projectile users
- Labyrinth rings no longer generate with effects that cancel each other out, i.e. +10 Poise and -10 Poise
- When Possessed Books attack neutral enemies, they become angry at you instead of the book
- The Hedge Maze tunnels are now peekable

Bug Fixes

- Fix an issue where Labyrinth generated rings could sometimes "double" in inventory upon save/load and progression to NG+
- Fix an issue where some projectiles like gunshots could interrupt other projectiles like the Curse Ball
- Fix an issue where Corpse Hex goop could be left in the air(hopefully this is fixed forever now)
- Fix an issue where the Night Mother Disciple would appear in her idle pose after dying and returning to the room
- Fix an issue where the top category could get cut off when scrolling around a list of items
- Fix the Befouled Ring stacking damage when the game is paused
- Fix an issue where the team spoofing behavior of Outfits like the Zombie Outfit could stick around after saving/loading and removing the Outfit
- Fix the view of the Blood Tower from the Belltower appearing black
- Fix a visual glitch when climbing down from the roof in Chapter 3
- Fix an issue where the enemies in the Blood Tower Second Floor could mistakenly be talked to
- Fix an issue where the Inverted Gaze ring could become permanently inverted
- Fix some shields not properly losing durability upon being hit
- Fix an issue where the Labyrinth Knight could not leave rooms
- Fix a way you could get stuck in Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 in NG+ when using Pocket Nowhere
