0.5 Update - Roguelite, more

Hello Commanders!

The permanent growth factor that many commanders have requested has finally been updated. Along with various balance changes, we have begun to take steps towards a great game, so please read the update notes with high expectations!

Permanent Growth Factors


[h2]1. Research[/h2]

Strengthen your team using Zeronium in the ‘Research’ tab in the menu! You can earn Zeronium in proportion to your score after the game ends. Various other researches are planned to be updated!

[h2]2. Traits[/h2]

Traits are special abilities that can be equipped three at a time for each member. Customize your members according to your strategy through various trait combinations! Traits can be obtained by achieving achievements. About 10 types of traits are planned to be updated for each character.

[h2]3. Achievements[/h2]

The achievement system has been added. Achievements consist of rewards that greatly assist in permanent growth, such as Zeronium for research, traits, lieutenants, etc. Play more enjoyably by challenging various plays and acquiring these rewards!

[h2]4. Lieutenants[/h2]

Lieutenants have been introduced to Corrupted, who will help you progress in the game. Lieutenants provide rewards at the starting stage and have unique abilities. They can be obtained through achievements and events.

Combat System Improvements


[h2]1. Armor / Break System[/h2]

Previously, only skills with the ‘stun’ effect could block skills. There was fun in stunning at the right timing, but the value of the stun was too high, making it difficult to try various concepts. Therefore, we created a ‘defense break’ system, where the enemy is stunned and takes increased damage when dealt a certain amount of damage. Now you can flexibly choose whether to focus damage to break defense or to use a stun skill to block the skill.

[h2]2. Morale Effect Change and Trauma System[/h2]

The original morale was an element we wanted to create a need to manage the team through continuous damage accumulation. However, contrary to our intentions, it brought too much snowball in a single battle.

[Changes]

Addition of sectional morale levels

Positive (100~75%): Random ally positive effect acquisition
Disturbed (74~50%): Random ally 1st level trauma acquisition
Anxious (29~25%): Random ally 2nd level trauma acquisition
Corruption (24%~0%): Random ally 3rd level trauma acquisition
Morale application time change
Morale effects apply at the start of the next battle. Even if morale drops, there is now room to respond, such as using recovery items or modifying the deployment.

Camp Card Enhancement & Removal UX Improvement

The much-requested 'card enhancement preview' has been added. Now, you can carefully choose to enhance cards after viewing the enhancement effects!

Shop New Update

Finally, the Cosmic Shop and Midas combination have arrived in Corrupted! In the ‘Shop Protocol’ stage, you can use the ‘credits’ earned during the game to buy cards, plugins, equipment, and various other items.

New Consumables and Exism

[h3]Exism[/h3]
The basic exorcism granted to the card will now be removed, leaving only the exism slot. Instead, you can use the ‘exism’ item acquired during the game for free custom effects that fit the situation.

[h3]Morale Recovery Agent[/h3]
Has your morale dropped and the camp is not appearing? You can now use ‘Morale Recovery Agent’ to instantly recover morale.

[h3]Resurrection Item[/h3]
If you are worried about the risk of a member dying during stage progression, try using an Automatic Defibrillator (modified), Revival Beacon. The automatic defibrillator has been changed from a type used before battle to a type that is used automatically when a member dies.

Balance Changes

1. Entering the next stage no longer fully recovers all health.
The damage taken in the previous stage accumulates, and only minimal health recovery is provided.

2. The effect of skill-blocking used against an enemy trying to use a skill has been weakened.
- SP 50% return => SP 80% return

3. The recovery effects used by enemies have been reduced.

4. The damage of SP skills has been universally decreased.
- Show off the commander's abilities through deck construction.

6. You can no longer freely unequip the equipped gear.
- Touch and Move! Consider the timing of equipping your gear more carefully.
- However, you can unequip it using a new consumable item called Equipment Removal Kit.

[h2]Key Updates[/h2]
  1. Transition to Continuous Combat in All Stages
    We believe that continuous combat is a truly exciting stage experience.
    Therefore, we have changed all stages to continuous combat.
    The build-up cards, status effects, buffs, hands, drawn cards, and discarded cards from the previous wave will be retained as you progress to the next wave.
  2. UI Overhaul, Including Card Interface
    With the updates to various effects, including Exhumation, we discovered that it became more difficult to check the information on cards.
    From now on, all card information will be displayed prominently, and the field of view will expand when hovering over cards, making it easier to understand the overall situation.
  3. Notification for Soldier Deaths/Dangers
    We understand that it can be challenging to keep track of the health of soldiers in chaotic situations.
    To address this, we now provide notifications for when soldiers are in danger, including alerts for their health and additional notifications upon their demise.

  1. Enhanced Self-Destruction Visuals
    Losing the game due to unexpected self-destruction can be frustrating.
    We have improved the visibility of self-destruction risks.
  2. Improved Card Text Visibility
    The text displayed on cards had the same color, making it less noticeable.
    We have made improvements to enhance visibility.

  • Enhanced Barricade Durability
    To ensure the survival of barricades in continuous combat, we have made improvements.
    Makeshift Barricade: 500 → 1500
    Barricade: 1500 → 3500
    Zeronium Barricade: 4000 → 6000
  • Wave HP Recovery Amount Change
    To have a greater impact from the previous wave on the next wave, we have adjusted the HP recovery amount.
    Maximum HP: 20% → Recover 30% of lost HP
  • Decreased Energy Recovery Speed
    1-cost cards were disappearing too quickly.
    Energy recovery speed decreased by 15%

    SP Max: 60 → 80
    SP Skill Recovery: 250+1.0pow → 200+0.7pow
  • Fuse Changes
    SP Max: 60 → 80

    To avoid space cannon violations, the amount of gunpowder for Purple has been slightly reduced.
    SP Skill Damage: 150+1.4atk → 170+1.0atk
    SP Skill Target Change: Furthest target → Furthest target within range
    Purple'd Stat Increase: Attack Power +30 → +15
    Purpled* Stat Increase: Attack Power +40 → +20

    Gain Defense Power per attacking enemy: +15 → +10
  • Carbon Armor

We have released a hotfix update to address the elements that were causing disruptions to your enjoyable gaming experience. Modifications
  1. Improved convenience by making the "Move" card usable in place when used on oneself.
  2. Added character highlighting to indicate the owner of the card.
  3. Updated the display of attack speed (from 1 to 1.00).
  4. Enhanced the visual effects when cards are usable.
  5. Improved the UX of character information pop-up (support for switching to other characters' information and closing with left and right clicks).
  6. Modified the appearance probability of stages (reduced the proportion of normal battles and increased the proportion of other battles).
  7. Reduced the self-destruction damage of RoboArm (from remaining health
  8. 3 to remaining health
  9. 1).
  10. Items that increase stats now appear as rewards at every stage.

Bug Fixes
  1. Fixed a bug where the card usability effect did not appear for the entire starting hand of a battle.
  2. Fixed a bug where the item "Prophet" effect persisted and generated "Prediction" even in consecutive plays.
  3. Fixed a bug where Boom's "Prepare" card debuff was not applied.
  4. Fixed a bug in the options menu shortcut key.
  5. Fixed a bug where tiles created by the Plug-in Supply Route were not cleared at the end of non-combat stages.
  6. Fixed various issues where cards were not drawn and did not respond (additional occurrences may still arise).
  7. Fixed a bug where the BGM volume was reset.
  8. Fixed a bug where Purple's "ExtraMag" caused the character to freeze.
  9. Fixed a bug where cards on the Deck screen exceeded the screen boundary.
  10. Fixed a bug where the cost of basic cards for each unit type was decreased by Exism's "Maintenance."
  11. Fixed an issue where the effect of "SportsTaping" was not applied correctly.
  12. Fixed a bug where stat increase effects of certain cards persisted even after the battle ended.
  13. Fixed a bug where stat increase effects of certain cards were not applied correctly.
  14. Removed the "SuddenDeath" screen effect (to be reinforced later).
