Rotwood Fall Update Part 2 -- Anomalies and Gems arrives next week!



Hello hunters!

Part 2 of our Fall Update for Rotwood launches next week on December 2nd, adding Anomalies and Gems to the game.

Highlights include:
  • Gems: powers that can be slotted into your Weapon to let you customize your starting build even further. Find powerful combos with the right equipment pieces to help your progress through Frenzies and Super Frenzies.
  • Anomalies: helpful or challenging mutations applied to a random location in the world, adding run variety and a way to get more rewards.
  • Tuning & Balance: some equipment and player moveset changes, such as improved Hammer dodge cancel ability, preventing too many Rots from attacking at once and increased invincibility frames on melee classes.

  • Bulbins thrown by Imbued Mother Treek can now be attacked sooner
  • When a Proto-Weapon breaks, no longer remain weaponless but instead show a Broken Proto-Weapon, which does 0 Damage

  • Fixed an issue where Owlitzer's drops would sometimes not appear where Owlitzer died
  • Fixed some spots where Owlitzer could be attacked while flying, allowing her to die out of bounds
  • Fixed an issue that could cause Gourdo's healing seed to land out of bounds
  • Your item level is now updated in your player hud when you change gear
  • Improvements to power drop placement system, fixing many instances of powers being dropped out of bounds
  • Fixed common crashes

  • No longer load many textures that did not need to be loaded, which should improve performance of the game for some players
  • Fixed a crash that could happen when using the striker in an online game
  • The equipment screen no longer teases equipment before you can actually obtain the equipment

  • The crafting screen now tracks which tab you last accessed
  • The chest now tracks which tab you last accessed
  • Added a "No Freebies" descriptor to Super Frenzy 1

  • Fixed a bug where Rook could be damaged by certain powers while not shattered
  • Fixed a bug where you could not upgrade the Summon Slots power associated with With a Little Help
  • Fixed a big where Snowball Effect gained stacks from killing Environmental Objects instead of Enemies
  • Fixed several scenarios where you could retain multiple bow effects at the same time
  • The Five Finger Brew now properly gives 0 health instead of 1 in Super Frenzy levels
  • Added some missing names
  • Fixed the most frequent crashes reported by our crash reporter

  • Fixed an issue where players could select invalid difficulty levels in dungeons
  • Fixed some layering issues with various character cosmetics and armour pieces
