Upcoming Patch 1.6
Attention Captains,
Work has begun on the v1.6 patch for Astra Protocol 2.
Alongside a few bug fixes and improvements, there will be some new features added. The biggest update in this patch however is that we're looking at overhauling the fighters.
Fighters will now be distinct from ships, allowing a separation of their logic and behaviour, allowing them to be much more reliable in their usage. Additionally, enemies will react to fighters, which may be targeting them with their lasers, firing on them with their missiles, or even launching fighters of their own.
For those of you who are interested in seeing how they work and behave, we've updated the Beta branch accordingly. There's still a load of tweaks to do to them, but already they work much better - jump on the Beta branch and try them out for yourself.
