US Independence Day



Every year on July 4th, the United States of America celebrates one of its main federal holidays, Independence Day.

It was established to commemorate the events of July 4, 1776, when the delegates of the Thirteen Colonies unanimously adopted a declaration proclaiming independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain.

This holiday is commonly associated with family and friends reunions, barbecues and colorful parades. Join the celebration in Enlisted!

From July 4th (13:00 UTC) to July 10th (13:00 UTC), you can get rewards for completing tasks.

For completing 6 and 8 tasks, you will receive a unique "М2 Stinger" machine gun!





Tasks


Stage 1:
  • Kill 100 enemies.
  • Kill 60 enemies using a machine gun.
  • Complete 4 battles.
Stage 2:
  • Kill 15 enemies using a melee weapon.
  • Kill 80 enemies as a machine gunner.
  • Complete 6 battles.
Stage 3:
  • Kill 160 enemies using a submachine gun.
  • Kill 120 enemies using a machine gun.
  • Complete 8 battles.
Terms
  • The tasks can be completed in the Squads mode.
  • The list of tasks is updated every two days at 13:00 UTC.
  • Tasks can be completed simultaneously.
  • Uncollected rewards will disappear when the tasks change.
  • From July 10th to July 12th (13:00 UTC), after the end of the event, you will have the opportunity to purchase any missing rewards.

Improving the recoil calculation formula


With this long-awaited improvement, many weapons in your soldiers' hands will perform better! This is all thanks to the significantly more predictable recoil. We recently covered this topic in detail in a separate devblog, but in case you missed it – don’t worry, we'll briefly go over the main changes.

Until now, Enlisted used a formula that also introduced an additional randomness into the recoil pattern, causing it to change from battle to battle. On one hand, this simulated the inconsistency in the manufacturing quality of each weapon, but on the other hand, it almost made it impossible to get used to your favorite guns.

After hearing your opinions, we decided to remove this additional randomness from the formula. This doesn't mean that the recoil patterns will always be the same, just that they will be affected by far less random factors.

Improving AI soldiers


As you know, we are constantly improving the AI of the soldiers in your squad - after this update, they will behave even more like humans!



AI soldiers have learned to reload their weapons while running, and their animation of turning around has also become more natural. They can no longer destroy friendly stationary machine guns by accidentally hitting them. And while standing behind them, they pause less and try to find new targets faster.

Other changes
  • Reverted the elevation angle changes for anti-aircraft guns: they can now go as low as -2 degrees, instead of the fixed 7,5-degrees.
  • Anti-aircraft guns no longer overheat.
  • Improved the damage model of AT cannons built by engineers: more parts will count toward the destruction of AT cannons, such as wheels, optics and cannon breech, making it easier to counter them.
  • Fixed the poses of soldiers inside the Sd.Kfz.251/9 APC.
  • The "Possible maps" tooltip now correctly displays the campaigns whose maps the player might get.
  • Fixed infantry getting stuck at one of the spawn points in the "Quarry South (Invasion)" mission.

Improving rocket artillery


The new feature of the "Rzhev" update - rocket artillery - is already available to many of you. We've read your first impressions and suggestions about this feature. So here are the improvements!



Targeting now takes half as long, 7.5 seconds instead of 15, and the rocket salvo takes 6.9 seconds instead of 8.4. Additionally, the armor penetration of direct hits has increased from 35 to 45 millimeters. Also, the maximum effective range of the armor-piercing fragments has increased from 2.5 meters to 3.5.

You can already check how the rocket strike has changed by calling it with one of the new radio operator squads of Germany or the USSR. By participating in the recently started event, you can also get radio operator squads with similar mechanics for each country just by playing!

Improving the Battle Pass interface


Did you know that there are repeatable levels at the end of the Battle Pass? By completing them, players who have already claimed all the main prizes can continue to receive nice rewards!



From now on, Battle Pass levels from 76 to 83 will display an indicator that these levels are repeatable.

Other changes
  • Improved the startup time on PlayStation® 4 and PlayStation® 4 Pro by 25%.
  • Fixed the audibility of shots fired from the T20 rifle.
  • Changed the ammunition load of the M4A3E2 (76) W - added 10 more armor-piercing composite rigid shells.
  • Fixed the position of the Walther A115 in the equipment menu.
  • Fixed a bug where the collar of the German winter uniform interfered with aiming when looking through the Carcano M91 sniper’s scope.
  • Improved the position of the soldier’s hands when using certain weapons on bipods.
  • Changed the BR of the gold order Chi-Nu tank from IV to III.
  • Added clarification to the "+20% tank gun reload speed (loader perk)", stating that when a tank has two loaders with this perk, the effect does not stack.
  • Fixed the disappearance of grass and low vegetation on DX12 Ultra graphics settings in case of GPU driver reset.
  • Fixed the driver's head in the Sd.Kfz.251/1 APC.
  • Removed the frame for the canvas from the Type-94 Isuzu.

Reinforcements received: Rocket Storm!



In the "Reinforcements received" events, you’ll upgrade your army with unique and well-armed squads, rare weapons, vehicles and always-useful items. Main rewards will help you unlock content that normally takes more time to reach in a regular lineup.

This time, radio operators will join the ranks of your army, who will also have access to the new, unique artillery support - rocket strike!

From June 24th (13:00 UTC) to July 26th (13:00 UTC), get battle score in battles and move up the rewards ladder! You have two days to complete each task!

Rewards


You'll get rewards during the whole event, and the further you progress through it, the more valuable they'll become. You can easily skip a few tasks and still get the main rewards!



Main Rewards


As you complete stages, you will receive unique radio operator squads that you can arm however you like!


[h3]Radio operator squads with rocket strike (All countries)[/h3]
These squads, one for each country, all have access to the newly added rocket strike.

The rocket strike has its own peculiarities: it lasts longer - 8 seconds versus the 4.5 of the normal artillery strike, but more rockets are fired during this time - 24 launches compared to 19 shells. Moreover, the rockets pose a greater risk to vehicles in case of a direct hit.
Note that the call timers for the regular artillery strike and the rocket strike are shared.

Each squad has 4 radio operators and an engineer with a wide range of buildable structures. You can change the weapons and equipment of these soldiers, and the BR of the squad alongside with them.

Terms
  • Tasks are updated every two days at 13:00 UTC, and the scoring starts again. Be sure to collect your reward before then, if you have managed to accumulate the required number of battle points, otherwise the task will not count.
  • The task can be completed in the Squads mode.
  • From July 26th (13:00 UTC) to July 28th (13:00 UTC), after the end of the event, you will have the opportunity to purchase any missing rewards for Gold.

Try out the reworked matchmaking



Commanders, we are starting to test additions to the rules for creating matches, which will result in some battles being created with opponents who can differ from your Battle Rating by no more than one! You can read about the rules of the new system and the testing conditions below.

Dynamic BR brackets




Currently there are 5 different Battle Ratings in Enlisted and players can get into BR 1-3 or BR 3-5 matches, depending on the BR of their army.

We are adding a new "soft rule": if there are enough players in the queue, matches with a narrower BR spread can be created: BR 1-2, 2-3, 3-4, 4-5. In other words, we are doubling the accuracy of matchmaking!



In order to make this new rule more efficient and more likely to be applied, the maximum time a player can wait in the queue will slightly increase - so the matchmaker can gather enough players to start a battle with a narrower BR range.

Even under these conditions, if there are not enough players due to an unpopular country or BR, then the matchmaker will simply create a session according to the classic rules.

About the test


Matchmaking is server-side, so you don't even need to update the client. Just play and share your impressions, and we will collect your feedback and analyze the results.

There is also no need to redo your army lineups. Everything else will remain unchanged, and in case you forgot, we have a detailed video about BR.
