Time to hit the road! - We recently showcased at Avcon and AVCon X Rundle Mall Plaza and now we are headed to Melbourne! We will be showcasing at PAX Australia this weekend and if you’re there make sure to come past and say hello!



[h2]Crocs, Powers and Profile[/h2]
Confident Crocs - Some crocodiles seem to have grown bigger heads now that they have ripple and splash effects. Messy Muds has been decked out with 2 new bonus levels where the new big headed crocs will be hard to miss.
Powers Pizzazz - Clucky now has some extra flair when dashing and slowing time.
Profile Preferences - Players now have more control over what data they send to our servers. We don’t collect any information apart from what’s needed for the highscores. However now you can choose if you want to block the game’s access to our servers completely. You can also delete all data ever sent to our servers.



Note: We have done a lot of backend changes in preparation for our release on Android and iOS.

[h2]The Nitty Gritty[/h2]
[h3]Item Adjustments[/h3]
  • FPS Shades - The normal camera is now used during tutorials and when Clucky is under the ground.

[h3]Quality of Life[/h3]
  • Menu music now continues to play until the level is completely loaded.
  • Area music now plays after the first countdown finishes.
  • Tutorial instructions now have a dark backing to make them easier to read.
  • Tutorial instructions now fade in and out.
  • Tutorial jump text positioning for the fence and the complete line have been adjusted to be more intuitive.
  • Controllers now vibrate when you bawk, lose armor, water bounce, get hit and on meteor land.
  • Controller vibration strength option now exists in the Input tab.
  • Space to bawk / jump option has been moved to the Input tab.
  • The lily pad’s bounce has been nerfed (due to last patches coyote time changes) and should now be easier to chain back to back bounces.
  • The lily pad’s bounce no longer scales with boost power to make it more consistent to chain back to back bounces.
  • Star goal and water bounce no longer scale with boost power.
  • The Leaping Lilies level now has more than just lilies.
  • Clucky now has a new texture to show off more feathers.
  • Crocs now have a new model and texture, are more colourful and have splash and ripple effects.
  • New crocs sometimes get a bit too big headed in trials and in some bonus levels.
  • 2 new bonus levels have been added to Messy Muds.
  • Messy Mud’s bonus area’s icons have been adjusted so each has an individual icon.
  • Clucky now gets an orange wind twirl effect when dashing or boosting.
  • Clucky now gets a blue to purple afterimage and the world loses saturation when Clucky slows time.
  • Wesley’s celebration upon Rascal catch has been adjusted and now shows the item you’ve stocked or obtained.
  • All in-game celebrations have been moved behind the HUD.
  • In-game notifications are now bigger.
  • The pause and end game screen now show item and rascal collection icons.
  • The game now displays an error message when you try to submit 0 highscores.
  • Users can now turn off all data sent to the server.
  • Users can now delete all of their data they have sent to the server.
  • Profile view has been adjusted to have the relevant information.
  • Gamepad face buttons are now recommended in the tutorial when using a controller.
  • Option sliders now have a delay when applying their value.
  • Gamepad menu repeat delay has been increased.
  • Gamepad navigation for the menu should flick less when inputting quickly.
  • The end game screen will now always auto select the restart button for consistency.
  • Clucky should be less likely to get muddy when walking beside mud.

[h3]Bug Fixes[/h3]
  • Fixed a bug where chicken tilt was not reset during restarts.
  • Fixed a bug where tutorial clouds didn’t spawn on first load.
  • Fixed a bug where the landing sound and particles played when they shouldn't have.
  • Fixed a bug where chicken head and body equipment were being reset after being broken when footwear got broken.
  • Fixed a bug where restarting with a golden egg combo shield kept the combo in the next run.
  • Fixed a bug where bawk balls weren’t reset on restart.
  • Fixed a bug where you were unable to dash after a restart.
  • Fixed a bug where timers weren’t resetting correctly on restart.
  • Fixed a bug where the goal line in the tutorial didn’t function the same as other levels.
  • Fixed a bug where non demo items and levels could be accessed in the demo if you unlocked them in the full game.
  • Fixed a bug where sometimes you couldn’t navigate right to move off the back button in the equipment view.
  • Fixed a bug where popups weren’t blocking input from the background.
  • Fixed a bug where you couldn’t navigate back to the bottom buttons on the end game screen.
  • Fixed a bug where some items still affected the tutorial.
  • Fixed a bug where you could click an area or level sign in the background of the menu.
  • Fixed a bug where pressing back while also moving between areas/levels caused unintended occurrences.

[h2]Area Balance[/h2]
Balance Breakdown - Before we add new content to Bawk Bawk we are doing our best to make sure our current content is to a high standard. We have adjusted and nerfed a lot of blocks in Messy Muds and Lethal Lava to be perfectly balanced as all things should be. Our intentions are to allow you to get further, promote good play with eggs and have more fun on these levels.


[h2]Time Slow[/h2]
Tick Tock It’s Time Slow O’Clock - Time slow has been adjusted with the intention of making it more useful and reducing the likelihood of being slowed by nearby obstacles that you won’t hit.


[h2]The Nitty Gritty[/h2]
[h3]Item Adjustments[/h3]
  • Glasses - Increased slow scale from 30% to 45%.
  • Slippers - Increased slow scale from 50% to 75%.
  • Party Hat, Hand Bag and High Heels - Star Power effectiveness now increases by 10% per star collected in the current run, up to 150% on the 3rd red star. Star Power now increases the boost duration not the speed, giving the player more control over the boost. Jump and boost amounts have been slightly adjusted.
  • Pizza Hat, Backpack, Guitar and Hiking Boots - Boost Power now increases the boost duration not the speed, giving the player more control over the boost.

[h3]Quality of Life[/h3]
  • Tutorial now uses the correct jump hold icons when space is jump.
  • Tutorial guide animations now show where bawk and dash indicators are on the HUD.
  • Tutorial walls are now more central and easier to rotate towards.
  • Tutorial will now always be played with game speed of 1 or below even if chili is set higher.
  • Tutorial now makes sure the player has a bawk/jump/dash when hitting a time slow.
  • Tutorial now will make the chicken itemless during the tutorial.
  • Increased trampoline count at end of tutorial to make them harder to miss. All tutorial trampolines are now floor trampolines.
  • Stone circles have been replaced with new ones with more space to walk through. Now each rock rotates and scales individually and has a chance to not spawn.
  • Reduced the amount of horses.
  • Reduced the amount of normal, small and tiny frogs.
  • Reduced the amount of capybaras and increased their block length.
  • Pallet arches are now bigger and easier to go through.
  • Now 40% of logs never dip (from 20%).
  • Logs that don’t dip are darker and ripple animates slower.
  • Adjusted egg locations for logs to only be on those that never dip.
  • Boat boosts now have the boost icon.
  • Reduced the amount of cows.
  • Land reeds are now lower in the ground allowing the player to see past them easier.
  • Adjusted reed egg location to not teach players into going through them into crocodiles.
  • Adjusted croc eggs to be further away from danger.
  • Reduced the amount of geysers (land, lava and near paths).
  • Geysers should now be more central and overlap less (land and lava).
  • Increased lava geyser min length (to reduce small jumps) and reduced max length (decrease too long jumps)
  • Increased land geyser block length and now stable over config difficulties.
  • Adjusted egg locations for clumps of dashable pots.
  • Reduced multiblock amount of spikes and increased block length at the cost of safety distance.
  • Increased the safe distance on lava paths from 4 to 5.
  • Meteors now can only speed up and not slow down.
  • Meteors minimum flight speed has been increased to 2 seconds which should reduce the amount of super fast meteors at the start of levels.
  • Purple meteors now exist earlier in the level they are just rare.
  • Increased hex wall block length.
  • Adjusted lava plumes egg locations.
  • Reduced the amount of spires.
  • Snakes now have rope indicators.
  • Increased Snakes block length and reduced the spread factor.
  • Reduced the amount of snakes.
  • Clucky now gets a little coyote time (hangs in air before falling) between jumps/glides and after boosts to help players reach consistent jump heights on faster speeds.
  • Trials now have their own special safety blocks - pebble grass, tree grass, sprinkler grass, exploding barrels grass, wheat grass, reeds grass, geyser grass. These safety blocks should spawn more consistent amounts over different lengths.
  • Wheat safety block is thinner and now no longer hides water and lava edges beside them.
  • Boost invulnerable time has been adjusted to be Boost Time + 1 second. Overall players should feel more comfortable taking boosts even at higher game speeds.
  • Giant Clucky can now jump off floor trampolines.
  • Going through a boost now removes current gravity.
  • Going through a boost now refreshes your jump count.
  • Dashing over terrain of different heights should now be more consistent.
  • All in level icons (trampoline/boost/dashable) are now 25% bigger.
  • Feet equipment have all been adjusted to reduce model clipping.
  • Feet equipment animations have been adjusted to reduce model clipping.
  • Super hair now dimly glows.
  • Trampoline colliders are now bigger.
  • Clucky can now jump when muddy. However, being muddy lasts longer and drastically reduces jump power and glide time.
  • Reduced zoom slow to be 10% slow (90% speed).
  • Time slow based on the distance to the closest obstacle is now more accurate. Forward distance means more than side distance meaning you’ll go slower if the obstacle is in front of you rather than beside.
  • Time slow is now a parabolic curve instead of linear meaning you should get less caught on objects that are close but not too close.
  • Time slow is now increased when dashing or boosting to compensate for the extra speed.
  • Time slow now only occurs in the last 0.5s of invulnerability so you don’t get caught on obstacles mid boost when you can just go through them.
  • Time can now be slowed faster helping it remain useful at fast speeds or on devices with low framerates.
  • Time slow eases back to normal speed slower to give you time to get back into the groove.
  • Time slow should be more consistent for bigger chickens.
  • Time slow has been reduced from 2s base to 1s base and regen decreased from 0.0083/s to 0.0055/s.
  • Time slow now has a minimum amount required to be able to start slowing time. The indicator changes colour when falling below this threshold.

[h3]Bug Fixes[/h3]
  • Fixed some issues with block cloning for multiblocks.
  • Fixed a bug where top barrels beside single barns could be floating. They now get destroyed when the bottom barrels are bawked.
  • Fixed a bug where time slow triggered on dirt underneath grass or islands when landing safely above them.
  • Fixed a bug where random orientation lava plumes had an incorrect config set and was spawning normal lava plumes.
  • Fixed a bug where time slow scale stat was actually reducing the speed at which you move towards your max slow. Whoops!
  • Fixed a bug where you got sent into the floor when dashing through boosts in Frantic Farms.
  • Fixed a bug where one trampoline bounce counted as more than one professional bounce. You get Professional Bouncer, You get Professional Bouncer, Everyone gets Professional Bouncer!
  • Fixed a bug where the last sign selected in level select didn’t blur during the camera transition back to the menu.
  • Fixed a bug where you could be stuck in time slow for a long time on the tutorial if you held jump for too long or jumped too early before a jump line.
  • Fixed a bug that allowed you to get infinite slow time and caused issues with the time slow indicator when wearing the Space Helmet.
  • Fixed a bug where dying when wet caused the dash to permanently be down until the next time you get wet and it runs out.
  • Fixed a bug where options were not applied instantly.
  • Fixed a bug where stone circles were not dissolving when nearby.
  • Fixed a bug where bawking pots close up still led to player death.
  • Fixed a bug where dying and ending the level with a Bawk Ball still traveling caused errors.
  • Fixed a bug where vultures were dissolving too quickly.
  • Fixed a bug where firefox and snail trails were destroyed when the animal was bawked or destroyed.
  • Fixed a bug where objects that should spread out over the block were not spread if the total possible spread was less than 1 block long.
  • Fixed a bug where pigs animations were not being offset correctly.
  • Fixed a bug where the vulture’s heads got bigger and bigger.
  • Fixed a bug where the incorrect control scheme input icons and keys were shown when first loading the tutorial.
  • Fixed a bug where time was consumed during Star Power boosts.

We changed almost every item for the better! Making sure each item has an opportunity to shine. Our goal was to simplify the stats so that players can make meaningful choices, while bringing some of the less-picked items inline with the more popular items. For a detailed breakdown of the item changes, check the Nitty Gritty section below. 👇



[h2]Performance Overhaul[/h2]
  • Particle Party Poopers - reduced the number of particles used in a few places, sometimes down by an order of 10! Also, all particle systems will turn on closer to the player. These changes have reduced frame lags when bawking, dashing, and when certain obstacles are prevalent in levels.
  • Memory Mischief - Bawk balls and lava trails are now allocated ahead of time to prevent frame drops when bawking and lag on lava levels. Not only that, but all obstacles have had their behavior updated to prevent unnecessary lookups and memory allocations during gameplay. Making for a much smoother run.
  • Complete Collision Calibration - Reworked all of the collisions in the game this was a massive task, but very worth it! Sorted objects into layers to make sure collisions were only processed between objects when they should be. Reduced the number of raycasts used for ground detection and improved other raycasts to work as intended. Larger dash through colliders have been added too, making it more likely for you to gain back your dash charges.
  • More efficient management of obstacles that react based on distance to clucky. These checks now happen far less frequently.
  • Reduced the resolution of cloud dithering to gain back a tonne of frames on lava levels, especially noticeable on Macs.
  • Removed unnecessary loading and saving during level load screens to improve load times.
  • Now uses GPU Instancing for even more materials!



Based on feedback we have changed the default jump action key to spacebar from w/up. There is an option in the menu to switch it back if desired.


[h2]The Nitty Gritty[/h2]

  • Battle Helm - Removed heavy. Reduced armour from +2 to +1.
  • Hard Hat - Removed armour.
  • Bucket Hat - Gives +50% debuff recovery. Gives +60% debuff slow resist. Reduced armour from +2 to +1. Short sighted adjusted to be less distracting.
  • Chestplate - Removed increased fall speed. Now the description shows more stats instead of keywords.
  • Rock Feet - Removed safe landing. Removed fall speed. Gives +1 Armour.
  • Steel Toes - Increased Armour from +1 to +2. Gives +50% fall speed.
  • Super Hair - Removed bawk shield as it felt underwhelming. Increased bawk distance from +20% to +100%. Increased bawk size from +20% to +50%.
  • FPS Glasses - The camera no longer tilts when turning. Reduced bawk recovery from +180% to +150%. Increased bawk recharge from +120% to +150%.
  • Tool Belt - Removed bawk recovery, recharge, size and distance. Increased bawk charges from +1 to +2.
  • Cowboy Boots - Removed bawk recovery. Increased bawk charges from +1 to +2.
  • Ram Horns - Removed dash recovery.
  • Cat Headphones - Reduced dash recovery from -140% to -200%. Gives -50% dash length. The heart bawk ball is now the same size as the original bawk ball and its visuals have been adjusted.
  • Oxygen Tank - Removed dash recovery and recharge. Gives +125% dash distance.
  • Roller Skates - Removed dash recovery. Gives +25% dash distance.
  • Space Helmet - Increased dodge time from +50% to +75%.
  • Glasses - Increased dodge recovery and slow from +20% to +30%.
  • Hero Cape - Increased dodge recovery from +40% to +50%.
  • Slippers - Increased dodge slow from +30% to +50%.
  • Glider - Increased glide time from +40% to +50%.
  • Monarch Wings - Removed star jump. Gives +20% Jump Power.
  • Jetpack - Removed star jump and star boost.
  • Pirate Hat - Gives 1 extra value to shiny eggs.
  • Parrot - Gives +33% egg combo shield.
  • Party Hat - Gives 50% Star Power. (star power gives star jump and star boost)
  • Handbag - Gives 60% Star Power. (star power gives star jump and star boost)

[h3]Quality of Life[/h3]
  • Selected buttons in the menus now shine for better visual clarity.
  • You can now click anywhere on the item in the equipment menu to change items.
  • Cannon now prioritizes going to Rascal over going to the highest star.
  • Boost shield now scales with boost time.
  • Players now have better turning control during dashes and boosts.
  • Players should now find it easier to break dashable objects and collect eggs while dashing.
  • Time slows now scale with game speed so it's still worth it when playing on max chili. Time slows should now feel more consistent and you should get stuck less on surrounding objects.
  • Reduced player base max fall speed to 10 m/s so you don’t fall faster than you can keep up.
  • Added 2 extra tips to the loading scene.
  • Player’s jump height cap has been increased. Minimum camera height has been slightly increased to accommodate.
  • Adjusted the seed for Bouncing Barrels and Speedy Sheep to reduce early difficulty.
  • Path supports are now dangerous. Path eggs are higher off ground (for when jumping over broken paths). Path geysers and fish no longer spawn eggs. Path pillars no longer get bawked away forever. Path breaks happen more frequently but now must be a certain minimum size.
  • Water death is now lower and you can survive but get wet if you only dip your toes.
  • Sprinkler wall indicators are now more intuitive. Now players can look for the most green or least red.
  • Stationary Wagon Wheels now have longer blocks, spawn less and have more consistent difficulty scaling.
  • Rolling wagon wheel eggs are now in better locations.
  • Exploding dizzy barrels now have longer blocks, spawn less, increased range but only pop if you are on the ground. You can no longer die from colliding with the barrels.
  • Frog eggs are now in better locations.
  • Reeds are now easier to identify if in water or on land. Land reeds now are darker, have longer blocks and have land after them. Water reeds now spread out less and have water after them. Water and Land reed patches now have safety blocks after them.
  • Boats are now positioned slightly lower and you can land on the front of them. Boats now have longer blocks.
  • Increased the amount of floating logs in the water and now 20% of them never dip.
  • Tree logs now fall earlier so you have more time to react. Tree logs eggs are now in better locations
  • Removed water sprinkler walls from Stoney Swamps.
  • Paths gems are now purple.
  • Pillars are now completely dashable and bawkable.
  • Meteors and Rolling Fireballs now come in a range of colours.
  • Lava plumes maximum block length has been reduced so you don’t need multiple back to back dash jumps.
  • Hex walls no longer have different sizes and are slightly easier to jump over. Hex wall eggs are now in better locations
  • Flamethrowers can now trigger earlier and later.
  • Lava steps min heights adjusted to be higher now can have trampolines.
  • Levels with lava into water blocks or vice versa now have a small dirt in between them.
  • Less water sprinklers in water trials.
  • Trials can now have hex walls.


[h3]Bug Fixes[/h3]
  • Reduced unfair log block placement in trials.
  • Reduced the amount of unintended grass in water levels.
  • Striking snakes now has safety blocks in between blocks.
  • Removed the extra "l" in Leaping Lilies.
  • Global highscores should be more accurate and you should no longer see duplicates of your own score.
  • Fixed an error that occurred on load for the notification controller.
  • Spamming the Esc button during load screen no longer quits the game.
  • Removed a bug which caused the player to not start with the correct amount of time slow.
  • Time slow now works in tutorial no matter the chili level.
  • Removed a bug where the camera zoomed in when lily pad jumping.
  • Players should find it harder to fall through lily pads into death.
  • Fixed a bug which stopped players from getting achievements like Shiny and Hot Stuff.
  • Cloud lightning can now happen on the first play from the load screen.
  • Players should now land safely more often.
  • The camera should no longer zoom in for pipes when they have been bawked away.
  • Bawking the snail trail no longer bawks the snail away.
  • Fixed some unintended death interactions on Water and Lava steps.
  • Fixed a bug where you could dash while dashing, extending your dash.
  • Fixed some spelling mistakes on item descriptions and made key words more consistent.
  • Fixed some star and rascal issues on Leaping Lilies which caused them not to spawn correctly.
  • Fixed a bug where you could pause during loading.
  • Fixed a bug where the pause screen flashed on and off at the start of the game.
  • Fixed a bug where sprinkler walls were on when they were meant to be off.
  • Fixed a bug which caused the pause end screen to have an overlay be open upon transition. Can no longer press buttons during the transition.
  • Fixed a bug which allowed users to restart mid cannon to get free eggs and distance.
  • Fixed a bug which caused short sighted to not be visible after restart.
  • Fixed a bug which caused eggs to spawn within hay walls.


[h3]Notes[/h3]
  • Animal collisions have now been simplified for now and we may reintroduce specific interactions at a later date.
  • We may look to add an option that changes the distance constant particles turn on at a later date.
  • We may look to add an option that changes cloud dither maps at a later date.

[h2]New Challenges Have Arrived![/h2]

  • Rock around the clock! Circles of stones have been spotted in pleasant pastures.
  • Ooh pointy! Short walls made of wooden spikes now appear in lava levels.
  • What the hex? Curiously glowing hexagonal walls now pop up in lava levels.
  • Sinking steps! Lava steps now rise and fall, making it trickier to land safely.
  • Heads up! Vultures now swoop down when Clucky gets near them.
  • What does the blue flaming fox say? Red foxes in lava levels have been replaced with Flaming Foxes (and they’re blue!).


[h2]Big Ol’ Balance Overhaul[/h2]

  • Pleasant Pastures other than the inclusion of stone circles in several levels, we’ve make some minor tweaks to pleasant pastures to make it a bit easier to get high scores.
  • Frantic Farms had some issues with blocks being too close together. Most notably dashable objects and sprinkler walls made it very easy to run into obstacles on the other side of them. Increasing safe distances between obstacles has been the biggest change here.
  • Bustlin’ Barnyards number of obstacles has been reduced. Speed of tractors and some animals reduced.
  • Messy Muds number of obstacles has been reduced. Safe distances after blocks was also increased a lot here, mostly on water blocks and after reeds.
  • Lethal Lava has had some of the biggest changes. With new blocks, balancing has been needed to keep it more challenging than all other areas, but still achievable. Obstacle counts have been reduced and configurations now allow for a more gradual increase in difficulty.



[h2]The Nitty Gritty[/h2]

[h3]Level Tweaks and Nerfs[/h3]

  • Less fish spawn on long stretches of water.
  • Less clotheslines spawn, balanced empty vs full clothes lines spawn rate, and they now have a larger safe distance behind them.
  • Sprinkler walls now have a collider and a larger tank capacity. They show running water animation less often and have a larger safe distance behind them.
  • The amount of long Sprinklers that spawn has been nerfed.
  • Corn now has a larger safe distance behind it and eggs spawn further away from the fences.
  • Hay Walls are less frequent late run. They also spawn with less tall segments early run and have more space in front and behind them.
  • Hay stacks spawn less and are more spread along the cylinder.
  • Cart boosts spawn more frequently in Frantic Farms. There are now less large bundles of hay next to them as well.
  • Tractors pulling trailers now have bigger gaps between them and less full trailers. They also no longer spawn eggs under their first trailer.
  • Scarecrows sway slower, also spawn less and have more space in front and behind.
  • Scarecrow traps spawn less, have less space in front and behind and can now be repeated.
  • Fertilizer spawns less and is more evenly spread out.
  • Rolling hay bales have slowed down, but can spawn more around the cylinder as well as spawning more in a row.
  • Less Donkeys spawn, less repeated donkeys early run.
  • Rabbits are now more spread out and can spawn in different length rows.
  • Rakes are now less frequent late run. They also pop up earlier to make them easier to spot.
  • Kangaroos have slowed down a bit and are now less frequent late run.
  • Reduced the number of Horses that spawn.
  • Reduced the maximum amount of barrels that can spawn.
  • Leaf stacks are now balanced slightly harder than hay stacks.
  • Reduced the speed of Tractors.
  • Less barns can spawn and more spawn open.
  • Reduce the number of sheep that spawn as well as their tracking speed.
  • Foxes have been slowed. Less foxes spawn, jumping doesn’t slow foxes as much.
  • Less rotating fan boats spawn, and the speed the fans apply to Clucky has been reduced. The boats also move slower and can spawn back to back.
  • Floating logs now float for longer and have a faster and more obvious dip animation.
  • Floating logs now always have safe distance after the water they spawn in, also the water they spawn in is now longer, but the logs remain near the middle.
  • Less mud and less pigs in mud spawn.
  • Pigs now animate with different timings.
  • Less crocodiles spawn.
  • Frogs now all have a consistent safe distance behind them.
  • Less harvesters, larger safe distance after, and eggs stop moving once the harvester is bawked.
  • Less tractors stuck in mud spawn early run.
  • Pallets appear a lot less often.
  • Tortoises repeat less in a row.
  • Clucky now bounces on lily pads! They are now bigger too, making it easier to jump back onto grass. In the Leaping Lilies level, bouncing on a lily pad also gives you score.
  • Pipes are now far easier to jump through. Larger half pipes have been added to the mix. Timeslow of pipes is now not as slow, and the camera zooms in better!
  • Less Burnt Scarecrows spawn, and they appear back-to-back less often early run. Also fixed an animation issue where their arms moved in ways they shouldn’t have.
  • Balanced lava geysers in lava to be slightly harder than fish. Laga geysers on land are slightly harder again. Lava levels no longer spawn lava without lava geysers.
  • Reduced the number of spires that spawn as it was almost impossible to pass through them sometimes.
  • Pots, Urns, and Pillars now spawn less and get harder more gradually. Pots also have a better hitbox.
  • Fire Foxes are now slightly easier. They track you less and less of them spawn.
  • Boost rings now at a better jump height.
  • Balanced rolling fireballs so that they are better spread out and less of them spawn. They also get harder more gradually than before.
  • Lava paths now have less geysers and can be shorter.
  • Reduced the number of Lava Plumes that spawn and they’re now a bit easier early run.
  • Reduced the number of Lava Snails that spawn.
  • Reduced the number of Snakes that spawn.
  • Meteors now more reliably fall in front of the player, when they now make a fiery crash sound! They also start further out than the clouds and dissolve in rather than grow. Now remain spinning for a short time after impact. They’ve also been balanced to be a bit easier early run.
  • Volatile Volcano was renamed to Striking Snakes.


[h3]Quality of Life[/h3]

  • The cannon now makes a big boom when it fires.
  • Wesley’s voice is a bit quieter to better fit in with other sounds.
  • Tutorial now has easier to navigate walls, and the jump line is a bit earlier for fence.
  • You now get eggs for catching Rascal for the first time in a level.
  • Donkeys spawn 2 eggs instead of 4 so you don’t have to run into other donkeys to collect them all.
  • Debuffs cause you to slow forwards movement less.
  • Added egg spawns to a whole bunch of obstacles that didn’t have them before.
  • Very Small Cabbage Main has been renamed to Cabbage Calamity.
  • Wesleys welcome now starts when you’ve arrived at the store rather than while you’re moving to it.
  • The fence buttons on the main menu now have a better selection indicator.
  • Timeslow is now smoother, slows down to target speed faster, faster to return to normal speed.
  • Better celebration animation when you get a new high score.
  • Star and high score celebrations are now anchored to the side of the screen even on ultra wide screens.
  • Clouds now dissolve in, rather than grow in. This makes a big difference to the appearance of clouds on the lava level specifically.
  • Spires now have more colour variations.
  • Screen shake now occurs when you bawk, when meteors land, and when the star cannon fires. Making each of these interactions feel more powerful!
  • Eggs that spawn on paths now are more central on the path.
  • Rotating floors are now less bloomy in lava levels.
  • Rolling hay and fireballs now have a more rumbly, bass heavy sound.


[h3]Bug fixes[/h3]

  • Reeds can now be bawked.
  • The reeds that sometimes spawn with crocodiles no longer act like walls.
  • Fixed a bunch of null reference errors.
  • Fixed an issue where the dash button got stuck in recharging state during the tutorial.
  • Pots and Urns now correctly initialise. They also remove their dash icon once bawked.
  • Debuffs now affect rotation boosts.
  • Trials and bonus levels no longer show the unlock animation.
  • Bawking Rolling Hay now stops their eggs from rotating.
  • Debuff objects no longer get phased.
  • Achievements that were achieved in the demo are now unlocked in the full game.
  • Achievements that have been unlocked, but not synced to Steam, are now synced when you launch the game.
  • Reports some out of game achievements as they happen, rather than after the next run.
  • You can now achieve the Professional Bouncer achievement.
  • Mud is left behind when you bawk Tractors that are stuck in mud.
  • Prevent back-to-back reeds to reduce the chance of spawning infinite water.
  • Eggs near trees no longer lead in random directions.
  • Rascal no longer appears incorrectly on bonus levels.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing the chili modal to be stuck open.
  • Clouds now always spawn then they should.
  • Bonus levels show the item board when they have a Rascal catch mission.
  • Eggs of rolling fireballs and lava snails now stop rotating once the obstacle has been bawked.
  • Clucky now no longer randomly falls through broken path blocks.
  • Clucky can no longer jump through the sides of islands. These now have danger colliders.
  • Rascal catch celebration now plays in real-time.


[h3]Performance tweaks[/h3]

  • Now uses GPU Instancing for more materials.
  • Proximity trigger no longer continues calculations once triggered.
  • Music assets now stream, rather than decompressing on load.
