LONESTAR has sold over 100,000 copies!

Howdy, Bounty Hunters!

We’ve got two exciting updates to share today:
LONESTAR has sold over 100,000 copies!
And it just received a 32/40 (8/8/8/8) in Famitsu Weekly, earning the Gold Award!

When we first started this project 4 years ago, all we wanted was to make a game we truly loved. We never imagined that LONESTAR would be embraced by so many players around the world.

Thank you all so much for your support!

It’s because of you that our massive studio (3 cats, 1 dog, and 2 relatively unimportant developers) can keep running. In short, we’ve broken even!

We’ll keep making the games we love, and of course, more content for LONESTAR is on the way.

LONESTAR – English Localization Optimization Update

A major update for the English localization is now live!

After we posted the call for English text improvements, lots of players signed up.
We chose Poimen, a native English speaker and experienced player, to help with the optimizations.

Over the past weeks, Poimen carefully improved texts for Units, Treasures, Talents, Keywords, and more.
LONESTAR has a huge amount of text. This took Poimen lots of time and effort.
A big thanks to Poimen for his hard work!

Many community players also gave great suggestions for the English text improvements.

Game Update & Optimization

[h3]Optimization & Adjustments:​​[/h3]

  1. Clue Events will now appear during Vacation after the first two bosses in Difficulty 9.
  2. Random Talent - Vacation Refresh will also trigger Clue Events after bosses in Difficulty 9.
  3. Event - Dice Energy Resource has been boosted to 1-7 points.
  4. The "Back" button has been changed to "Cancel" when choosing Units/Treasures in Events.
  5. Fixed an issue where the Painter's Talent - Color Mask might not work with Jamed Units.
  6. Translation corrections and optimizations.

Some players mentioned Clue Events were still too rare, so we've increased their appearance rate to give you more choices.

Last week, after posting about English text improvements, we received many applications. We've selected a native English-speaking veteran player to help optimize the text. You shall see the English text updates soon!

  1. Added a tutorial for the Talent Button ( [Qingshui] / [Y]) and a new tutorial for Enemy Units with Permission, including Units from the 21-Point, Demolisher, and Megalodon ships.
  2. Buffed the random talent Compound Interest, now the number of Star Coins earned will be rounded up.
  3. Fixed a bug related to the Drive Bomb.
  4. Improved Units descriptions.
  5. Various translation fixes and improvements.

We’ve noticed that some mechanics are unclear to new players, such as the Talent Button, and the fact that enemy Units with Permission—like those from the 21-Point—can actually be loaded by the player.

To address that, we’ve added new tutorials to guide you through these features and improve overall clarity.


Since the official launch, we’ve also received valuable feedback on the English localization. We take these suggestions seriously and want to make the in-game text feel even more natural and polished. That’s why we are looking to recruit a native English-speaking player to help us refine the English text in the game. And we are looking for someone who:
  1. Native English speaker
  2. Over 20 hours of LONESTAR experience
  3. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to spot subtle issues in text
  4. Clear awareness of the current issues in the game's English text, and a willingness to help improve its overall quality
  5. Previous experience in proofreading game text is a plus

  1. Improved code structure to better support custom ship mods.
  2. Fixed a bug where parts with the Suppression buff, when quick-loaded, could cancel the effect of Infinite Energy Source Station after activation.
  3. Fixed an issue where the treasure Another Bounty Contract could accidentally remove the key event after a boss fight.
  4. Added 3840 x 1080 resolution option (currently in testing).
  5. Corrected some part level info in Difficulty 9 Bounty Contracts.
  6. Improved and clarified various in-game descriptions.


After nearly 4 years of development, LONESTAR has officially launched!
