Third Patch Is Out!

Patch 1.0.4 includes:

  • Fig gets his physics correctly disabled when interaction with cranks on slopes
  • Fig is now able to free Alpha
  • Fix to one of the visions not finishing
  • Fix to a case of being stuck in a crouching movement when trying to interact with something right behind Fig during crouch
  • Updates to the rope destruction of Silvia's rope in Auction Escape
  • Hitting arrows back with Fig's sword wont cause them to break parry targets
  • Added a skip INA tutorial option in the help menu
  • Fixed a problematic collider near the book club in New Spawn Camp, which could either get Fig stuck or push him out of bounds after a drop roll
  • Fixed Promontory softlock if you don't extend the banner the first time
  • Fixed stuck issue at Sea of Cables
  • Updates to localization for several languages
  • Fixed some missing enemy voices
  • Fixes to several visual issues in different levels including flickering
  • Various fixes to music transitions
  • Fixes to various NPC animations and positions
  • Fixes to various cameras

Our Second Patch Is Live!

Our second patch is ready and we will continue to release regular updates, as we are committed to providing you with the smoothest possible journey through the Forgotten Lands!
Patch 1.0.3 includes:

  • Fixed issue where you could bypass all of Shelter Island gameplay/story arc by immediately going to the Curtain area. IF you happen to have a save where this happened, and you are now stuck on Shelter Island. Navigate to the curtain, and you should receive a popup that teleports you to Volare
  • Fixed various out of bounds cases in the mines of The Falls
  • Fixed a soft lock if you jumped on a specific zipline in Shelter Town, more than once, or from an unexpected place
  • Fixed a rare endless loading bug
  • Fixed softlock when meeting Tome in Bygone Park, if reaching her from the bottom
  • Replaced Publisher logo with latest brand logo
  • Fix to intro Fig so he transitions to a landing animation when jumping down to hang on a ledge too close to the ground
  • Correct parry ability movement instructions if keys have been rebind
  • Fixed a case where Lost Pieces didn't feel like attacking Fig
  • Removed a double call for closeup animations
  • Fixed a situation where you could soft lock yourself when interacting with the elevator in Camp Discovery
  • Fixed a case of flashing in dress up tent and removed Dilla from Fig before they attach
  • Pushable objects are ignored by platforms when a crane is holding them
  • Fixed a tutorial menu bug that could show the last page as empty
  • Fix to some enemy behaviour, enemies falling on killed enemies do not kill them twice
  • Removed a pushable crate from The Falls Mines and made the section more intuitive
  • Several visual improvements to sorting
  • Various other smaller bug fixes and improvements

Introducing Our First Patch!

First off, thank you for all your feedback since launch.

We’ve been closely reading your reports, forum threads, reviews, and messages. It’s clear there are more issues than we are comfortable with, and your input helped us quickly identify what needed attention first.
We’re committed to continuously release patches as quickly as possible until Forgotlings is at the level it’s meant to be!

We'd really like for you to play and judge for yourself and continue sharing your favourite moments/aspects.

Included in patch 1.0.2:

  • Fixed numerous layering and Z-fighting issues

  • Misc. visual improvements and polish

  • Improvements to Localization is various places

  • If the player has taken the Tug boat back to Shelter Town twice, there should now be a way out of the town and back to adventuring

  • If reaching left side of Shelter Central without having a specific upgrade, a safety rope will appear allowing you to get back to main area.

  • Updated achievement Philanthropist to be 6000 Feros donated instead of 1000, stopped. Sorry about that

  • Fixed soft lock if you forfeit after having placed a stone, and the player starts in the next Ina match

  • Elevator in Pono, now locks the player correctly when it is moving on it's own. Safety first, no more crushed Figs

  • Fixed possible soft lock situation with push pull after boat ride with Sting and Plank.

  • Fixed a case in INA where you would soft lock yourself when starting a game

  • Fixed Stitch position in Shelter Town, so he isn't hidden behind all that cloth

  • Fixed a few cases of one frame flashes during some cutscenes

  • Fixed some cases of incorrect/unsubscribed environment to fading events when navigating around

  • Removed a few cases of out of bounds interactable objects that showed up in Hints

  • Made Fig vulnerable to Lost Pieces in certain cases he was not. Also removed the lingering smash button icon if dying to Lost Pieces

  • Made Clock not run away in the final conversation at the The Falls Obstacle Course

  • Fixed a case in The Falls where fig said he wasn't ready yet, but didn't allow you to walk away from that area

  • Fixed an out of bounds case in the Auction scene

  • Fix to interaction sometimes being blocked while Fig is very close to a low edge

  • Owls cannot spot Fig anymore if he is in a side sneak state and in the shadows

  • Shields gets hit interaction disabled after drop

  • Fix to crank platforms being stuck if hitting a blocking object and changing direction while holding the original input

  • Fix to cranes being able to go through platforms if a grabbable object was on top

  • Various other smaller fixes and improvements

Forgotlings is Out Now!

[p]It really did happen, the game was released! Very surreal, that this thing we worked on for more than five years is finally here. We're proud of it. Warts and all. It's not a perfect game, but we love it, and hope you will come to love it too.
