Announcing BALL x PIT

[p]I'm excited to announce BALL x PIT, a ball bouncing, base building roguelite. I'm really bad at trying to explain what it is so here's the announcement video we premiered at Summer Game Fest.[/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p]There's currently a free demo available to play on Steam.[/p][p]
[dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p]This year will mark a decade since my first commercial release and BALL x PIT feels like the culmination of everything I've done up to this point. I'm really proud of it, I think it will be one of the highlights of my career.[/p][p]This was my first time really leading a team, I'm lucky to have found some brilliant collaborators. Here's a list of the core team:[/p]
  • [p]Sergio 'Bini' H. Alcelay (3D Artist) - Created all of the 3d models for the base building portion of the game (buildings, environment, elevator)[/p]
  • [p]Fernando Labarta Martin (Technical Artist) - Created all of the shaders and visual effects, including in-game balls, particles, etc.[/p]
  • [p]Mohammed Bakir Khawam (Low Poly Pixel Artist) - Crafted all of the pixel art textures and level environments[/p]
  • [p]Lisa Fasol (Concept Artist) - Created concepts for the buildings, level environments, and enemies. They also created some of the pixel art for the prototype which I pitched to publishers, some of which is featured in the announcement video.[/p]
  • [p]Luka Parascandalo (Pixel Artist) - Created all of the icons and portraits in the game, along with most of the UI and some of the enemies.[/p]
  • [p]Amos Roddy (Composer) - Composed on an amazing soundtrack for the game, some of which you can hear in the announcement video, plus a little sound design.

[p]Devolver Digital is publishing it, who have been a dream to work with. The first indie game I ever purchased on Steam was Hotline Miami, exactly 12 years ago to the day (June 6th 2013), long before I ever thought I could do this for a living, so this feels like a real full circle moment. They've been hugely supportive of the game and have thrown a lot of their weight behind it, as evidenced by that unhinged video they put together for Summer Game Fest (which I love). [/p][p][/p][p]I'm hoping to write a few more posts about the development process of BALL x PIT as we get closer to launch, if I can find the time, but for now you can stay up to date through our official social channels and communities below.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
