Territory – Alpha 6.44 – Railway System

[h3]Buildable railway system[/h3]



  • Craft the railway build part, place then add sections to the track with iron ore and wood.
  • Turn the track left or right as you add sections.
  • Track pieces will adapt to the terrain autmatically but not where it's too step (over 55 degree slope)
  • Currently you cannot close the loop, that will come later at some point.
  • You can set the cart to stop at the end of the track or automatically travel up and down the track automatically until you stop it.
  • You can hop on the cart and travel with it to your resource gathering area, then fill it with resources and ride it back home.
  • Tracks and carts save with your save game.
  • Replicated for multiplayer.

[h3]Flatbed Cart[/h3]


  • Only small storage but easier to place things on to move around on the flatbed
  • Crafting on the crafting bench and breaking down on the extractor for all rail items


[h3]Container Cart[/h3]


  • Holds whatever you need to transport in its huge storage

Notes:
  • Currently you can have multiple carts on the same track they will just overlap when they pass each other which is fine for now.
  • You can send carts to stop at the end of the track or set them on automatic to loop back and forth when they reach the end of the track.
  • Get your track build resources back when you remove track pieces so you have freedom to pack up tracks and redeploy as required.
  • Currently cannot attach other build parts to the carts but this will come at some point.
  • Lots more ideas to expand on this down the track for automated mobile spline turrets/flamethrowers for base defence and other transportation options.

  • Increased sell to trader price of most farming produce
  • Increased player pocket inventory size by 1 row (8 grid squares)
  • Balanced the max weight of tactical rigs. Smaller ones less max weight. Larger rigs more max weight.
