Territory – Alpha 6.17 – Going Underground

The first of many under ground areas, currently very simple areas for testing and feedback, there will be random enemies that spawn and ores to mine. The underground adds a whole new element to gameplay and there is lot’s of potential to expand on this. Potentially (with a lot of work) there could be a complete network of caves underneath the map. I won’t restrict building in there at this point however it will probably be quite uncomfortable to build a base underground unless you like a challenge… we’ll see how it plays out.

The test cave is marked as a POI on the world map. It is not advised currently to take your vehicle inside as you will probably lose it.



[h3]New Resource – Copper Ore[/h3]



Can be found (quite rare) in nodes around the map and more frequent in caves. The nodes be harvested for raw copper ore. This can then be smelted on the stone or iron furnace into copper ingots

[h3]New Resource – Gold Ore[/h3]



Can be found (very rare) in caves. The nodes be harvested for raw gold ore. This can then be smelted on the stone or iron furnace into gold ingots

[h3]New Resources – Ammonium Powder and Ammonium Nitrate[/h3]



Ammonium Powder is crafted by recycling decomposed organic materials (meat and veg – currently only spoiled meat, meat stew, apples and tomatoes). Ammonium Nitrate is then crafted by combining ammonium powder with nitrate on the workbench.

[h3]New Item – Stone Lamp[/h3]



Crafted on the workbench using stone and ammonium nitrate as a slow burning fuel for an organic light source.



[h3]New crafting recipe – Copper Wire[/h3]



Can be crafted with copper ingots and plastic.

Reminder that decomposing food items can be sped up by placing them in a composter.

  • Blood spray effects remaining for too long
  • Overflow wood spawning underneath character causing them to move position while harvesting
  • Stopped character and AI meshes receiving decals to avoid weird blood effects
  • Tree Harvesting effect issues (effects have been reverted to the old style while some replication issues are worked out)
