Development Update #3

Greetings, everyone!

We decided to tell you a little bit about one of our mechanics and share some progress on the interface on the ocassion of Ukrainian Games Festival.

Verticality is a big part of the design of Sich Tactics. Cells have different height, this creates an additional layer to movement planning. However there is not only danger - characters receive damage after falling from high - but also an opportunity.

Some characters have the ability to jump over chasms, others do not receive fall damage while moving. More than that, cossacks can push their fellows onto the high ground to take the most advantageous positions



Also we are working on the player's interface. We really want to convey the atmosphere of the game world, at the same time make a convenient and friendly interface that will help the player quickly understand what is happening and display all the necessary game information for the best experience and interaction on the battlefield.

Current result you can see on the screenshot, but it’s still work in progress.

Development Update #2

Greetings!

We want to share some details about the game development. We have some exciting news to share.

Firstly, two new people have joined our team: a writer who is working on the game's storyline and overall narrative, and another programmer. As a result, game development is now in full swing, and soon we'll be able to show you more. We are currently working on creating a game demo. As for the release timeline, we can't provide a clear date just yet. However, the processes are now progressing faster than before. While you wait for more news, let me tell you something else.

Recently, we switched to Spine for creating better and more enjoyable animations to enhance the gaming experience. We have updated a significant number of animations, and although they may not look perfect yet, we believe they are much better. We are also working on diversifying the game characters and their visual appearance, which will depend on their level or location. We are continuing our work, and we appreciate your support.

Development Update

Hi everyone!

After a prolonged silence, we want to share some good news.

We are once again entering the active phase of development of our next game - Sich Tactics. We are working on interesting mechanics to diversify the gameplay.

Let's lift the veil a little. Since the Cossacks were famous for their cunning and ingenuity, we want to convey this through game mechanics. For example, we are developing a system of interaction between characters controlled by the player, which will add more in-depth tactical decisions. We will try to achieve such a result that the interaction of combat units among themselves brings more benefit. But let’s not spoil the dessert and leave it for later.

Also, intensive work is currently underway with graphics, namely the creation of new characters, development of animations, user interface, and so on.

There will be more news about the project soon, so add it to the wishlist and follow the development of the game!
