UI improvements

[h3]Welcome back to our humble ASMR Food Experience restaurant. 🍣 We’re happy to have you visit us again and even happier to share our recent progress. 🙂[/h3]

As you can remember, we’ve told you that playtests of the prologue version will take place this month. Because of that, armed with some initial feedback we’re working on changing and improving the UI. 📝 We understand that an intuitional UI is crucial when it comes to enjoying the game that’s why we’re doing our best to implement certain changes making the UI more user-friendly. Keep in mind the screens you’re about to see are still work in progress, so they may and most likely will be changed in one way or another. 🙂

The first noticeable change is the constant appearance of the burn degree icon during the cooking, 🥘 when the counter reaches the end, your dish will become burnt, thus unable to be served. That’s why you have to remember about stirring! 👍


Another important change is the display of UI while pouring the ingredients into different bowls, pans etc. Up to this point, there was no information whether or not you’re adding/pouring more of the ingredient because there were no units such as grams, milliliters or simply quantity. From now on they’ll show up. This UI will offer you less information but they’ll be more essential- how much of the ingredient are you currently adding and how much of said ingredient is already added to the bowl. 🔍


The window used to pick how much of the ingredient you want to add has also been moved into a more noticeable place- next to the adding ingredients UI. 🤩

[h3]We keep working on optimizing the UI, doing our best to get rid of as many active keys as possible. 👏 Our goal is to make the number as small as possible to let you enjoy simple, intuitive controls. 🔥 What other options would you like to be available in the UI?
