New update today!

[h2]Year of the Loong[/h2]
We’d like to celebrate Lunar Year with you and we’ve added a few features to the game!

• First of all, you will be able to unlock Hansi’s Guard skin in honor to the Year of the Loong!
  
• Second, you will find a couple event relics, an egg and a firework, both in Gnöki’s realm and in shrines. The egg will turn into a loong companion that will help you in your battle!
  
• To unlock Hansi’s skin, you will need to conquer Muspelheim in any difficulty playing as him.
  

This event will take place from Feb. 10th-25th. After that, requirements to get Hansi's skin will change, just as we did with the other event skins.

Please notice that themed relics will appear more often than regular ones.
On that note, you may disable the Year of the Loong event on the Settings panel if you prefer to play regular runs.



[h2]Improvements - Relic Exchanger[/h2]
You will now have until the first boss fight to reset the run without losing the relics you chose. If you die before the first boss, relics won't be lost either.
We will keep improving this feature, but at least we wanted to add this small improvement that will make things much more fair.

[h2]Fixes[/h2]

• After enabling zero alpha, some particles were not working correctly after activating alpha once again.
  
• Amaranth’s plant companions and Alruna’s Spiky bones were not spawning correctly in some cases.
  
• Elite phoenixes from Muspelheim were inflicting damage with the telegraph of their tornados.
  
• Some sounds were spawning when they shouldn’t.

We've also added a 20% discount to Nordic Ashes :D

Today we will update Asgard beta too. We want Asgard to feel it’s best, so we will be releasing the official map next week.

[h2]Asgard Beta part 2[/h2]
For now, previous bosses have been balanced and we’ve added a new one.
Future beta updates before next Thursday will include wave 5, which will look something like this!



[h2]Year of the Dragon[/h2]
On Saturday we will welcome a new themed event, this time about Chinese Lunar Year (year of the Dragon!)
We will release a new character skin and a friendly companion that will help you battle through Ragnarok.

[h2]How to access the Beta?[/h2]
REMEMBER: To play the beta, you will need to have purchased Nordic Ashes previously.

1. Open the Steam application.
   
2. Go to the Steam library and select Nordic Ashes.
   
3. Right click on it and select Properties.
   
4. A panel will open, select the Beta option.
   
5. Enter the following code: NordicAshesBeta
6. Click the button to verify that it is correct.
   
7. If everything is OK, you will have the Beta option in the drop-down menu. Select it and the game will be updated.

1. Keep in mind that this is a Beta and therefore it may contain bugs and balancing issues.
   
2. The purpose of the Beta is that you have access to an early version of the game, so you can help us to fix bugs, balance the game and give suggestions.
   
3. The Betas last for a certain period of time. We will release them as new updates are released. This particular one will be open for 1 week.
   
4. There is a specific discussion for beta feedback in Steam.
   
5. The Beta progress will be saved in your actual account.
   
6. You can unlock the Steam achievements already published, but the new ones that will be released will not be available. However, once the Beta version is released, you will receive all achievements you have already earned.
   
7. You may upload or stream Beta content if you wish. However, please add a disclaimer to your videos/streams to announce that it is the Beta you are playing, not the public version of the game.
   
8. IMPORTANT: To avoid any loss of your progress please follow the next steps:
   a. Create a backup of your saving files just in case. There should be no issues but just to be safe please do. You may find them here:

Today is Asgard Beta day!
Explore the kingdom of Aesir (quite destroyed due to Ragnarok events). Fight its guardians and face, at last, its legendary gods.

And as for today, we will have available half of the run. You will be able to explore Asgard and fight the first two bosses.

We will keep working on part two of the beta, which will be released next week. This will include a fifth wave too!

Today as promised, we have a seed update! ːNA_Seedː ːNA_Seedː ːNA_Seedː
There’s always a moment where you don’t know what to do with your seeds anymore, so we needed to do something about it. And even if you still haven’t exchanged all the available leaves for seeds, we think you will enjoy this update very much too!

[h2]Seed plants[/h2]
The first announcement is that you will find seed plants across the realms! That way you will be able to earn many more seeds on each run. Hit them a few times to earn seeds.



One of the reasons is that this way you can get a bunch of leaves faster, and the other one goes as follows:

[h2]Relic Exchange:[/h2]
You will find a new tab on the main menu called Relic Exchange. In this panel you will be able exchange some of your seeds for relics which will appear at the beginning of your next run. These relics can be active and passive relics, but not Ancestral relics in any case (the ones belonging to each character). Up to 15 relics will appear.

You will see relic seed prices vary depending on their rarity. Each relic will also have an energy cost. You will be able to add up to 5 relics depending on their energy.
This way you may get 5 commons, or 2 epics, or 1 common 1 legendary, etc.
For a small amount of seeds you will be able to reroll the weapons that appeared.
You may also lock relics by previously selecting them so they don’t reroll with the rest.
Once you’re done, just close the panel and the relics you selected will appear right when you start a new run.
These relics will only be available until your next run ends, so choose wisely.

You will need to earn 10k seeds to unlock this feature.

• Ragnarok VI and VII added to Custom Mode.
  

[h2]Fixes[/h2]

• Immunity Knot relic didn't avoid you getting frozen in Jotunheim.

Here’s a new Nordic Ashes update. This time we’ve focused on new Yggdrasil knots plus a few improvements thanks to your comments.

[h2]Yggdrasil[/h2]
You will find 9 new upgrades in your tree. With this, Yggdrasil will be complete.
Here’s a screenshot of how it will look like:


[h2]Improvements[/h2]

• Daily Challenge improved. Talkôr day won’t have health Yggdrasil upgrades anymore as they wouldn’t work anyway.
  
• Yggdrasil enhancement: you will now be able to add or remove Yggdrasil upgrades with left or right click of your mouse (this will also work this way on the Daily Challenge Yggdrasil).
  
• Alruna's ascension images updated.
  
• Character selection panel: you can now select the character's weapon usign the mouse.
  

[h2]Bugs[/h2]

• The crash some users were experiencing during a run should be fixed now.
  
• In Vanaheim, cloud props would hide part of the shrines in some cases.
  
• There was a bug where if you just obtain something from a shrine and at the same time you were transported to Gnöki’s realm, you wouldn’t get the relic.
  
• Minor texts format corrections.
