Chapter 2 Demo Release Info!
Hey! Just wanted to let you all know of something regarding the Chapter 2 Demo! Launch is gonna be a little wonky, and I apologize for that, but the build itself is fine! It’s polished and optimized, but let me explain! Quest Players: The Chapter 2 Demo will be available on Oct 1st starting at 9:30am PST / 11:30am CST / 12:00pm EST. However, Due to Meta taking a bit longer to approve things, the chapter 2 demo may only be available as a beta until they approve the public build, this means you’d need a specific link to add it to your meta quest library, but it would not appear in search results on the store until approval happens. Very inconvenient but it shouldn’t be for too long if that does happen to be the case. I’ll also get it up on side quest for those that want to do that as well! Steam Users: The Chapter 2 Demo will be available as a playable launch option for those that own the base game or the current demo, however I will be working on a way to have chapter 2 as a separate demo, I will also likely include this build for SteamVR on the Sidequest page for it and gamejolt as well! Will keep u posted! NonVR/Flatmode will not support the Chapter 2 Demo at launch but will be prioritized shortly after the demo launch! PlayStation Users: you guys have been so patient, and I apologize for the continuous wait for PlayStation support. We’re still working on getting the Chapter 1 demo AND chapter 2 demo ready for PlayStation. The chapter 1 demo will also be part of the overhaul/remake being released for Chapter 1 which will be a free update on Meta Quest and Steam and will be the launch version for the full version of chapter 1 on PlayStation. This WILL support both FLAT/NONVR mode AND VR Mode for the Chapter 1 Demo AND the Chapter 1 remake! The trailer for Chapter 2 releases on both the Official PlayStation YouTube channel along with My YouTube Channel on Oct 1st at the same time the chapter 2 demo launches! So be there for the premiere!
[p][/p]
PlayStation Channel: [dynamiclink][/dynamiclink]My channel: [dynamiclink][/dynamiclink]I am very excited for you all to try this demo! It’s really awesome :)
Spooky Month Surprises!
Hey Guys! Just wanna share another fun update with you guys!

October is going to be a very big month for The Obsessive Shadow as a whole! There are tons of fun things coming out related to it!

Firstly, A demo is coming soon for Chapter 2! This is a super dark and creepy one that I can't wait for you all to see! As a little apology to making the PSVR2 people wait for so long on the PSVR2 port of the original game along with the delay I talked about recently, I have decided to put the Playstation Store page up for the Chapter 2 Demo which should hopefully be releasing this October! Right now though, you guys can wish-listit!

The hope is to have it out on Meta Quest, Steam, AND Playstation VR2 all at once or at least close together, but that's all TBD Right now. Quest and Steam will most likely be out at the same time, but the TBD part is Mostly referring to PSVR2!

A track composed by Leon Riskin, the official main composer for the Five Nights at Freddy's games, will also be released in October. Can't say for sure when yet, but it's coming soon!

Additionally, be sure to Keep an eye out for some other neat stuff being shown off in October! Including a teaser for side-project I've been working on with some help from the dev who created Hauntify Mixed Reality!

https://www.meta.com/experiences/hauntify-mixed-reality/4130979187008353

After that, my hope is to release the Chapter 1 Remake that me, Molly from Fit Guy Games, and YuRo have been working on! Very excited about this one! This will launch first on Meta Quest and Steam, but we'll port that version to consoles most likely.

And Lastly, this one I can't talk about too-too much yet because I don't know for absolute sure when it's coming out but My hope is to put this very special project out in October.

As a little apology to you guys I have decided to put the Playstation Store page up for the Chapter 2 Demo ahead of time so you guys can wish-list it! Major Content Update Announcement + Dev Update
Hey everyone! It's been a little while since I had any real updates for you on Console ports for the game. That is partially because there's a lot more to console ports than one might think. There's a lot of things in this game that I see room for improvement on as well. One of the major thing for me is the how short the game is. It's only about 20-30ish minutes right now for a normal playthrough. I intend to fix that with a good sized content update. I really want to give this game more to offer and expand upon some of the ideas this current version introduces before I focus fully on chapter 2. With this in mind, I am deciding to wait on releasing to consoles until I have this content update finished. This means Playstation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. My goal is to have this content update ready to release on Steam and Meta Quest by the end of October alongside another really special Obsessive Shadow project that's been in the works for a while with the Console Releases expected to be coming out in early 2026.
[p][/p]
I am going to be working alongside YuRo who is a developer known for his VR remakes of Five Nights at Freddy's Games to speed up the development time on this. This will also include major Quality of life improvements to the game! (He also has a game coming out that you can wishlist on Steam called 'Go to Sleep'!)

I know a lot of you are not going to be happy to hear about the console port delay, but I will do everything I can to ensure that what's coming will more than make up for it.
[p][/p]
Here's the planned roadmap in order:

2025:

- Release Chapter 1 Major Content Update

- Premiere Special Non-Game Release

- Start Chapter 1 Console Porting process

2026:

- Release Chapter 1 Console Port(s)

- Continue development on Chapter 2

- Release Chapter 2
[p][/p]
I do apologize once again for this delay and hope you guys understand. I look forward to likely sharing more soon though!

To stay up to date, Join the Studio Discord Server, and follow the game on Twitter/X along with Instagram!
[p][/p]
- Pablo H.
