Here are the results of the crackdown on abusive users carried out between 8/02(Fri) – 8/08(Thu).

We're inspecting abusive gaming behavior to ensure that all Descendants can enjoy the game in a pleasant environment.
If you notice any abnormal or abusive behavior while playing the game, please report it through the in-game reporting feature.

Dev Note vol.11 - Preview of Hotfix 1.0.7

Greetings, Descendants. This is the Director of The First Descendant, Minseok Joo.

Today, I am here to share preview about Hotfix 1.0.7. We're aiming to release Hotfix 1.0.7 on Tuesday, August 13th, as we need additional time to verify some issues. In the meantime, I'd like to share some key updates in this hotfix.

First, we’re adjusting the options for the Infiltration Operation on Hard Mode. The ‘Grappling Hook Disabled’ and ‘Jump Disabled’ options will be removed from the selection list. Additionally, the Select All option will no longer be deselected when changes are made after selecting all options. Moreover, we’re planning further improvements for the Infiltration Operation on Hard Mode in Season 1. These include removing Occupation tasks and focusing more on Eliminations. We’re also replacing the random combination of options with preset selections and expanding matchmaking parameters.

Next, let’s talk about content adjustments. We’re going to add some extra time for you to choose restart option after completing Intercept Battles, Special Operations, and Infiltration Operations. For your preference, ‘Restart with Squad’ and ‘Restart Alone’ buttons will be provided.
Additionally, we’re making characters invincible when standing on hazardous areas after intercept are done, making use of the ‘Reconstructed Device’ more convenient.
The difficulty of the ‘Frost Walker’ mechanism will be adjusted so you can enjoy this void intercept battle through public matchmaking more easily.
In Special Operation, AFK players will be moved automatically to the 'Abort' selection during Interim Review. Also, monsters’ HP will be reduced, and more ammo will be dropped easily in Void Fusion Reactors.
Monster spawn intervals are shortened in Void Fragments (Poison Attribute) located at 'Echo Swamp - Derelict Covert'.
We're also addressing the issue where weapon proficiency is not gained for equipped weapons when using Unique Weapons, such as during Luna’s ‘Stage Presence’.

Lastly, we have usability improvements. We will enhance your farming experience with several improvements. In Hotfix 1.0.7, we’re adding a feature that allows you to quickly identify key information about your equipment by looking at icons in the inventory. You'll be able to see how many ultimate options an item has without opening its tooltip and identify the attributes & Arche types of Reactors through icons. Additionally, we’re speeding up the tooltip display to help you sort valuable items more efficiently.

One last thing! From previous patch note where we discussed plans to support build diversity, we noticed discussions in the community about whether socket types need to be assigned eleven times for each loadout pages.
Rest assured; we aim to support build diversity in a more user-friendly manner. If you prefer to use the same socket type across Loadout Pages 1, 2, and 3, your current setup will remain unchanged. Socket type assignments will only be required if you want different socket types for each loadout.

Here are the major issues that were found for The First Descendant in August.

We will continually update this notice with any additional issues and bugs that are found in August, as well as any impactful issues identified before August. Please keep track of the updates during your gameplay.

[August 29th (Thu)]
■ (Additional) Issue with 'Trendsetter (Bunny)' skin not appearing in the Ultimate Bunny Descendant Skin list.
- It has been observed that the 'Trendsetter (Bunny)' skin is displayed and can be equipped in the Bunny section, but it does not appear in the Ultimate Bunny Descendant Skin list.

■ (Resolved) Found issue where players cannot move to the next wave in case a player or players choose to Abort during the Interim Review for Special Operations
- An issue has been identified where players cannot move on to the next wave in case a player or players choose to Abort during the interim Review for certain Special Operations.
- Resource Defense(Kingston, Echo Swamp, Fortress), Mine Blockade(Sterile Land, White-night Gulch)

■ (Resolved) Found issue where the ‘Collect Ironheart Particles’ and ‘Daily Task for Battle Pass mission are not counted.
- An issue has been identified where interactions with certain Munition, destruction of Resource Box, and destruction of Gas Tank are not being counted properly.

■ (Additional) Misprint of tooltip regarding newly added 10 types of paints in certain languages
- An issue has been identified where ‘This is a member-only item’ is written on the tooltip for the newly added paints in certain languages(all languages except Korean, Japanese and Chinese)
- All 10 paints can be purchased without any issue.

■ (Additional) Found issue with approaching to the Target Item automatically when there is a Research Item from the Research Menu

- An issue has been identified when entering the Research Menu, in case there is research in process or finished, it automatically leads to the Target Item.

■ (Additional) Misprint of tooltip regarding Hailey’s ‘Safe Strategic Retreat’
- An issue has been identified where the tooltip for Hailey’s ‘Safe Strategic Retreat’ is misprinted as if the passive skill is being affected by Range Increase Modules.

■ Misprint of Head / Body Skin’s name regarding Hailey’s ‘Sniper Squad Full-Dress Uniform’
- An issue has been identified where the Head Skin and Body Skin for Hailey’s ‘Sniper Squad Full-Dress Uniform’ is written differently.

■ Misprint of paint name in pop-up page when pressing (X) button for purchasing the applied paint.
- An issue has been identified when a different paint name is written on the pop-up page in case of applying paint to Customizing > Descendant Skin or Weapon Skin.

■ Misprint of ‘Applied Value’ when trying to equip module in 'Change Module Socket Type’ mode.
- We identified an issue where the applied value is misprinted intermittently as if the module is already equipped when trying to equip module in 'Change Module Socket Type’ mode.

[August 14th (Wed)]

■ (Resolved)Found issue with Aim Assist Function Not Working Properly
- It has been confirmed that the aim assist function is working on both the body and weak points of the colossus in both aimed shooting and hip-fire modes.

[August 6th (Tue)]

■ (Resolved)'Strengthen First Shot' Module Non-reset Error
- We've discovered an error, in which a certain Module(Strengthen First Shot)'s cooltime is not resetting properly, producing more damage than intended.

We're endeavoring to solve issues and provide a better gaming environment.
We will also continue to listen to your endless feedback and keep the game stable, while maintaining fairness.

[August 2nd (Fri)]

■ Misprint of values when equipping the Maximize Resist module
- An issue has been identified when equipping the Maximize Resist module after the additive attribute resistance module, the attribute resistance is applied multiplicatively but displayed additively in the 'Applied Values' section.
- The Inventory (I) > Information screen can verify the correct values.

[Previous Known Issues (July)]

■ (Resolved)Issue with fewer monster spawning in the "Fortress Outskirts" Mission in White-night Gulch
- After the maintenance on 7/31 (Wed), we have identified an issue where fewer monsters are spawning in the Fortress Outskirts mission.

■ (Resolved) Issue with missing Supply Coins in Battle Pass Season Challenge Rewards
- An issue has been identified where Supply Coins are missing (Battle Pass → Season Weekly Challenge → Season Challenge Rewards).
- For those who complete the Season Challenges until the issue is fixed after the maintenance, Supply Coins will be awarded separately after the error is corrected.

■ (Resolved) Source of Modules that can be obtained by combining in Access Info is not displayed.
- It has been identified that the source of Modules that can be obtained by combining in Access Info is not displayed.
- 2 Hardline Suppression (Special Rounds and Impact Rounds), Shot Focus, and Shield Collector are obtainable through combining.

■ (Additional) Intel CPU Issue.
- Crashes have been reported on some Intel 13th and 14th generation CPUs.
- On PCs using these CPUs, the game may forcefully shut down with an error message stating 'Out of video memory' when launched.
This issue can be partially resolved by adjusting power limits in the BIOS.
- We are awaiting a response from Intel regarding this issue, and we are sharing Intel's official response for your reference.

■ Temporary solutions for client termination issues with certain antivirus Programs
- We have requested for exceptions for The First Descendant to antivirus programs, but some have not been implemented. Below are temporary solutions for this problem.
(1) ‘Bitdefender’ Temporary Solution [FAQ]
- Go to System Protection > Advanced Threat Detection (ATD) > Manage Exclusions menu, select the file or folder for The First Descendant, and save.
(2) ‘McAfee Agent’ Temporary Solution [FAQ]
- Go to McAfee Security > Navigation > Quarantined and Trusted Items, select TheFirstDescendant.exe from the quarantined programs list, and restore it.

■ Solutions for ‘Easy Anti-Cheat’ not functioning correctly
- If Easy Anti-Cheat malfunctions, refer to the FAQ for solutions. If the issue persists, please contact customer support with relevant screenshots.

Content Improvements
- An indicator will be displayed when a slot item that already expanded the relevant slots to the limit is included as bundle content, making it easier to check.
- Also, the price of the slot item will be deducted from the overall bundle price before the purchase, if the number of the slots already reached the limit.

Optimization Improvements
- [PS5] Improved some CPU load issues.

Bug Fixes
1) Battle Pass
- Fixed an issue where the acquisition of Supply coin as a reward for Season/Weekly Challenge was not possible.
- If you completed the Season/Weekly Challenge before the patch, you will receive the Supply Coins upon logging in after the update.

2) Mission
- Fixed an issue where fewer monsters were being spawned during the “Fortress Outskirts” mission in White-night Gulch.
- Fixed an issue where outposts would start without cooldown.
- Fixed an issue where monsters were respawning abnormally at certain outposts.
※Please note that taking advantage of system errors or specific actions to gain higher benefits than intended will be considered abnormal gameplay behavior.

3) Descendants
- Fixed an issue where Jayber’s Turret removal was intermittently not possible
- Fixed an issue where the taunt effect of Jayber's Medical Turret enhancement would intermittently not work.
- Fixed an issue where Valby and Ultimate Valby’s “Clean Up” skills would not end.
- Fixed an issue where the relevant effect would not appear around Viessa’s legs when using her skill “Frost Road”.
- Fixed an issue where Kyle was not able to use his skill “Superconductivity Thrusters” if his max HP exceeded a certain value when his level was between 22 ~ 25.
- Fixed an issue where Kyle's damage from "Superconductivity Thrusters" would increase abnormally when using modules that apply status effects.
- Fixed an issue where Yujin had to equip a lower-level reactor to achieve higher healing output when the power of his skill was low, rather than using a higher-level reactor.

4) Equipment
- Fixed an issue where motion would continue if a player maintained the zoom state while the “Single Reload for Peace” effect of the “Peace Maker” was active.

5) Module
- Fixed an issue where the Grappling Hook could intermittently be used beyond its range when the “Mid-Air Maneuvering” module was equipped.

6) Miscellaneous
- [Russian] Fixed a UI display error of Pyromanic Sub Quest.
- [German][French][Italian][Polish][Portuguese][Russian][Spanish] Fixed an error on “Yujin”’s “Solidarity Healing” skill tool tip.
- Fixed an issue where the newly added Amorphous Material Pattern ‘MutantAA’ tooltip was incorrectly displayed as Freyna Amorphous Material in some languages.
