3/28 (Fri) – 4/3 (Thu) Results of the Crackdown on Abusive Users

Greetings, Descendants.

Here are the results of the crackdown on abusive users carried out between 3/28 (Fri) – 4/3 (Thu).

We're inspecting abusive gaming behavior to ensure that all Descendants can enjoy the game in a pleasant environment.
If you notice any abnormal or abusive behavior while playing, please report it through the in-game report feature.

Please see below for the detailed outcome of the crackdown.

■ Crackdown status
- Crackdown period: 2025.3.28(Fri) – 2025.4.3(Thu) PST

■ Creation, distribution, or use of unauthorized programs - Permanent game ban (22 users)
- Actions have been taken for creating, distributing, or using unauthorized programs.



■ Exploitation of all processes related to the Open Store – Permanent game ban (21 users)
- Actions were taken because of unfair gains by exploitation on store payment process.



■ Interfering with other user's gameplay – 3-day separate matchmaking penalty (426 users)
- A history of repeated interference with other Descendants' gameplay has been confirmed and action has been taken in accordance with the Operation Policy.



■ Notes
- The outcome of the crackdown on abusive users includes enforcement actions taken based on Descendant’s reports and monitoring.
- If you would like to vindicate yourself in relation to a claim on the exploitation of the Open Store's payment process, please visit our official website > Customer Service > 1:1 Support and make your inquiry.
- If you would like to vindicate yourself in relation to a claim on the exploitation of the payment process through chargebacks, please contact the platform store where you made the payment.

Here are the major issues that were found for The First Descendant in April.


We will continually update this notice with any additional issues and bugs that are found, as well as any impactful issues identified before April. Please keep track of the updates during your gameplay.

[April 30th]
■ (#5) An issue where wing dye is not applied to Serena's Albion Academy Summer Uniform Set.

■ (#6) (Resolved) An issue where the wing appearance is displayed abnormally when wearing skins other than Serena's Exorcister Skin.


[April 24th]
■ (#5) (Resolved) Issue where the 'Show Skill Cooldown' option setting is reset upon exiting the game
- We have identified an issue where the 'Skill Cooldown' option in Options > Gameplay is changed to 'Off' when exiting the game, even if it was set to 'On'.

■ (#5) (Resolved) Issue where the accumulated playtime for the 'Ingris Guardian Blair' event is intermittently reset upon game reconnection.
- The issue where the accumulated playtime for the 'Ingris Guardian Blair' event is intermittently reset upon game reconnection has been identified.


[April 17th]
■ (#4) (Resolved) Game closes when clicking the "Cancel" button while switching tabs in the Shop's Recommended section

■ (#4) (Resolved) Icons for the “Ultimate Blair Spiral Catalyst” and “Ultimate Blair Spiral Catalyst Blueprint” items are swapped.


[April 3rd]
■ (#3) (Resolved) Issue where Ines’s “Chain Lightning” and “Floating Lightning” skills cannot hit certain objects

■ (#3) (Resolved) Incorrect display of item acquisition sources in ‘Special Operations’
- We have identified an issue where the acquisition sources of items obtainable through ‘Special Operations’ are displayed incorrectly when checked via the ‘Library’.



[Previous Known Issues]

■ Issue Where the Descendant Disappears When Entering Photo Mode in Certain Situations

- An issue has been identified where the Descendant disappears from the screen when entering Photo Mode after positioning them against a wall and adjusting the camera so that they are no longer visible.



■ (#3) (Resolved) Incorrect Description of Auto Refill Rounds for Vespers Hunting Dog in Languages Other than Korean and English

- An issue has been identified where the Auto Refill Rounds effect for Vespers Hunting Dog was incorrectly described in languages other than Korean and English.

- The description mistakenly stated that the effect applies to the “equipped weapon” instead of the “currently using weapon.”



■ (#5) (Resolved) Issue Where Incorrect Fellow is Displayed in the Fellow Spawn Tooltip

- An issue has been identified where the tooltip for the Fellow Spawn item incorrectly indicates that only Hagios Sheepdog can be equipped.

- Please note that both Hagios Sheepdog and Vespers Hunting Dog can equip the Fellow spawn item.



■ Freyna’s Exclusive Quest Icon Appearing for Other Descendants

- Freyna’s exclusive quest cannot be played with other Descendants and can only be progressed with Freyna or Ultimate Freyna.



■ (#5) (Resolved) [PS][XBOX] Display of the Top Menu When Clicking the ‘Go to Web Help’ or ‘Content Creator’ Buttons to Navigate to the Homepage

- On the ‘PS’ and ‘XBOX’ platforms, clicking the ‘Go to Web Help’ or ‘Content Creator’ buttons to navigate to the homepage results in the top menu being displayed.

- Please note that, while navigation to other pages within the homepage is possible, actions such as ‘Login,’ ‘Start Game,’ and ‘Enter Coupon’ cannot be performed due to this issue.



■ (#5) (Resolved) [PS4] Voice Chat Issue When Creating a Party on PS4 Platform

- It has been identified that voice chat does not function properly when creating a party on the PS4 platform.



■ Intel CPU Issue.

- Crashes have been reported on some Intel 13th and 14th generation CPUs.

- On PCs using these CPUs, the game may forcefully shut down with an error message stating 'Out of video memory' when launched.

This issue can be partially resolved by adjusting power limits in the BIOS.

- We are awaiting a response from Intel regarding this issue, and we are sharing Intel's official response for your reference.



■ Temporary solutions for client termination issues with certain antivirus Programs

- We have requested for exceptions for The First Descendant to antivirus programs, but some have not been implemented. Below are temporary solutions for this problem.

(1) ‘Bitdefender’ Temporary Solution [FAQ]

- Go to System Protection > Advanced Threat Detection (ATD) > Manage Exclusions menu, select the file or folder for The First Descendant, and save.

(2) ‘McAfee Agent’ Temporary Solution [FAQ]

- Go to McAfee Security > Navigation > Quarantined and Trusted Items, select TheFirstDescendant.exe from the quarantined programs list, and restore it.



■ Solutions for ‘Easy Anti-Cheat’ not functioning correctly

- If Easy Anti-Cheat malfunctions, refer to the FAQ for solutions. If the issue persists, please contact customer support with relevant screenshots.
