We would like to inform you of certain irregularities identified in the operation of our TikTok Creative Challenge for creators. [/p][p]  [/p][p]As a part of our marketing campaign for Season 3: Breakthrough, we recently ran a Creative Challenge program for TikTok creators, which allows creators to voluntarily submit their content to be used as advertising materials. [/p][p]  [/p][p]All submitted videos are verified through TikTok’s system to check copyright violations before they are approved as advertising content. [/p][p]  [/p][p]However, we have become aware of cases where the circumstances surrounding the production of certain submitted videos appear inappropriate. Thus, we are conducting a thorough joint investigation with TikTok to determine the facts. [/p][p]  [/p][p]We sincerely apologize for the delay in providing this notice as the review is taking longer than expected. [p]# PDT 2025.08.18(Mon) 21:30 – The Battle Pass EXP/Level adjustments and Bonus Coin retrieval have been completed.[/p][p]# PDT 2025.08.18(Mon) 03:30 – An additional notice has been added regarding the carryover of negative Bonus Coin balance into subsequent Battle Pass seasons.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][h3]Greetings, Descendants. [/h3][p] [/p][p]Following the hotfix 1.3.1b on August 14 (Thu), an issue occurred with the Battle Pass system. We would like to provide details regarding the corrective measures being applied, as well as the compensation for the issue where Daily Bonus Challenges did not properly grant Battle Pass EXP. [/p][p] 
Please find the details below. [/p][p] [/p][p]■ Players Subject to EXP Retrieval [/p][p]- Descendants who received additional Battle Pass EXP due to the issue between the hotfix 1.3.1b (Aug 14) and the hotfix 1.3.1c. [/p][p] [/p][p]■ Retrieval Details [/p][p]- Battle Pass EXP obtained by exploiting the issue will be retrieved, and Battle Pass levels will be adjusted accordingly. [/p][p]ㄴ Purchase history in the Battle Pass Shop will be retained. Rewards from levels that have already been claimed will not be granted again, even if those levels are reached later. [/p][p]- Bonus Coins granted for exceeding Battle Pass level 100 will be retrieved.  [/p][p]ㄴ If any of the Bonus Coins subject to retrieval have already been used, the used amount will appear as a negative (–) balance. [/p][p]ㄴ This negative balance will be automatically offset as you continue to earn Bonus Coins through Battle Pass leveling. Once your balance returns to zero or above, the coins will be usable again.  [/p][p]ㄴ (Added) If your Battle Pass Bonus Coins remain in a negative balance when the season ends, the negative balance will carry over into subsequent Battle Pass seasons.[/p][p] [/p][p]■ Retrieval Schedule [/p][p]- To be applied sequentially after PDT 2025.08.18(Mon) 00:30 [/p][p][/p][p]Thank you for your patience and understanding. [/p][p] [/p]

ㄴ As compensation for this issue, Battle Pass EXP will be distributed to all Descendants.

If you've scrolled past an ad on TikTok for Nexon's gooner-looter-shooter The First Descendant you might not have noticed it was made by AI. But if you watch one of them for more than a second, you'll probably figure it out. Each one features an AI streamer rambling about the new boss Wall Crasher and maybe the Nier: Automata crossover while doing an odd headbob that I assume is supposed to make their rubber faces look more excited and emphatic. (The way one of them pronounces "Automata" sounds ridiculous, but has probably been trained on real people struggling to say it.)..
