Here are the results of the crackdown on abusive users carried out between 5/9 (Fri) – 5/15 (Thu).



We're inspecting abusive gaming behavior to ensure that all Descendants can enjoy the game in a pleasant environment.

If you notice any abnormal or abusive behavior while playing, please report it through the in-game report feature.


Please see below for the detailed outcome of the crackdown.



■ Crackdown status

- Crackdown period: 2025.5.9(Fri) – 2025.5.15(Thu) PDT



■ Creation, distribution, or use of unauthorized programs - Permanent game ban (44 users)

- Actions have been taken for creating, distributing, or using unauthorized programs.







■ Exploitation of all processes related to the Open Store – Permanent game ban (12 users)

- Actions were taken because of unfair gains by exploitation on store payment process.



■ Detection of Unusual Gameplay Activity

- Unusual gameplay activity was detected, and actions have been taken in accordance with our operational policy.



**30-day restriction on game access (2 users)


**3-day separate matchmaking penalty (168 users)




■ Notes

- The outcome of the crackdown on abusive users includes enforcement actions taken based on Descendant’s reports and monitoring.

- If you would like to vindicate yourself in relation to a claim on the exploitation of the Open Store's payment process, please visit our official website > Customer Service > 1:1 Support and make your inquiry.

- If you would like to vindicate yourself in relation to a claim on the exploitation of the payment process through chargebacks, please contact the platform store where you made the payment.

PDT 2025.05.15 (Thu) 01:20 – Void Erosion Purge Skill Penalty Patch Update has been revised.

Here are the details on The First Descendant Hotfix 1.2.17, patched maintenance-free.

■ Patch Details
- Adjusted the difficulty of Void Erosion Purge: Normal (Stages 1–30)
ㄴ Increased Skill Damage for Descendants.
ㄴ (Revised) Attribute skill penalties have been removed for all attribute skills except advantageous attributes.
- (Revised) In Void Erosion Purge: Challenge Stages 1–5, attribute skill penalties have been removed for all attribute skills except advantageous attributes.

# Director’s Comment
Following the 1.2.14 update, we took a closer look at gameplay data and found that some skills still had room for improvement.
With this update, we've made adjustments to help more Descendants make better use of their skills across different situations.
We're also introducing the Mutant Cell system in the upcoming 1.2.18 update, which will further enhance skill effectiveness.

Greetings, Descendants. This is the Director of The First Descendant, Minseok Joo.



We’re currently seeking your feedback on how to apply the Multi-Hit Chance and Multi-Hit Damage stats for Weapon Core.



To expand the build diversity for weapons, we’re preparing to add Multi-Hit Chance and Multi-Hit Damage as new stats to Weapon Readjustment option and Weapon Core.



At this stage, we are considering including these two stats as part of the options for the Firepower Augmentation Core.

We hope this change will offer more flexibility when setting up multi-hit weapons.







However, we’re also aware that adding these stats to the existing Firepower Augmentation Core may lower the probability of obtaining other popular options, such as Firearm ATK, which many Descendants currently prefer.



To address this concern, we are also exploring the following alternatives:



- Separating a new type of core specifically for multi-hit stats from existing cores

- Allowing existing weapons to use the new type of core in Free Slots

- Adding a dedicated slot for the new type of core in future weapons released through upcoming updates



As this feature is still in the planning phase, we’re open to a range of possibilities.
