Here are the details on The First Descendant Hotfix 1.2.10b, patched maintenance-free.

■ Patch Details


- Fixed an issue where the client would close when playing in the Sigma Sector and Tormentor in the Void Intercept Battle (Abyss).

- Fixed an issue where the client would close when pressing the 'D-pad Left' button while focused on the 'Unequip' button in the Fellow screen using a console pad.

- Fixed the issue where participating in 'Other Infiltration Support' in Infiltration Operations grants the completion rewards of the participated operation instead of the selected operation, excluding Amorphous Materials.

- Fixed an issue where players do not respawn correctly on the ground when falling below the surface after defeating the 'Tormentor' in the Void Intercept Battle(Abyss).

- Fixed an issue where the UI completion indicator resets when completing the daily mission of the ‘Assist with Serena's Covert Operations’ event

- Fixed an issue where receiving mail containing both paid and free Calibers does not allow bulk collection using the 'Acquire All Attached Item' function.

- Fixed an issue where attempting to purchase items from the shop with insufficient Caliber shows the 'Insufficient Balance' popup, but selecting recharge does not proceed with the recharge.

- Fixed an issue where clicking the '+' button displayed in the Caliber possession details does not navigate to the Caliber purchase screen.

- Fixed an issue where purchasing the "Serena Growth Package" while all descendant slots are full would not immediately grant the item, but instead send it to the mailbox.

ㄴ The issue was caused by the "Serena" being granted before the descendant slot expansion within the same bundle, resulting in a slot shortage.

ㄴ For those who purchased the "Serena" separately before the hotfix, we will provide guidance on how to address this in a future notice.

Greetings, Descendants.


Here are the results of the crackdown on abusive users carried out between 3/7 (Fri) – 3/13 (Thu).

We're inspecting abusive gaming behavior to ensure that all Descendants can enjoy the game in a pleasant environment.

If you notice any abnormal or abusive behavior while playing, please report it through the in-game report feature.

Please see below for the detailed outcome of the crackdown.


■ Crackdown status
- Crackdown period: 2025.3.7(Fri) – 2025.3.13(Thu) PST


■ Creation, distribution, or use of unauthorized programs - Permanent game ban (16 users)
- Actions have been taken for creating, distributing, or using unauthorized programs.



■ Exploitation of all processes related to the Open Store – Permanent game ban (10 users)
- Actions were taken because of unfair gains by exploitation on store payment process.



■ Interfering with other user's gameplay – 3-day separate matchmaking penalty (197 users)
- A history of repeated interference with other Descendants' gameplay has been confirmed and action has been taken in accordance with the Operation Policy.



■ PromotingㆍAdvertising – 7 Day game ban (2 users)
- Actions have been taken for advertising harmful content, commercial content, and content unrelated to the game.



■ Notes
- The outcome of the crackdown on abusive users includes enforcement actions taken based on Descendant’s reports and monitoring.
- If you would like to vindicate yourself in relation to a claim on the exploitation of the Open Store's payment process, please visit our official website > Customer Service > 1:1 Support and make your inquiry.

[March 27th]

■ (#8) Issue Where Wing Dye Is Not Applied to Serena’s “Albion Administrative Support” Body Skin


[March 20th]

■ (#7) (Resolved) Issue in the Invasion Mission where Order of Truth enemies appear
- We have identified an issue where all Descendants are eliminated upon interacting with drones that match the Arche Trait during the Invasion mission where Order of Truth enemies appear, making it impossible to progress.

- Once the cause is identified, we will work to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.

■ (#8) (Resolved) Issue with the ‘General Round: Heat Circulation' Module Being Limited to Handguns

- It has been identified that the 'General Round: Heat Circulation' module is currently set to be equipped only on handguns.

- Please note that this module will be adjusted in the upcoming Hotfix 1.2.12 patch to be usable with other general round weapons as well.


■ (#8) (Resolved) Issue with Abnormal Display When Purchasing Individual Paints via the 'View Related Products' Button in the Store

- An issue has been identified where the screen displays abnormally when purchasing individual paints after clicking the 'View Related Products' button on paint bundle components in the store.

Please note that this issue will be fixed in the upcoming Hotfix 1.2.12 patch.

■ (#2) (Resolved) Issue where the UI completion indicator resets when completing the daily mission of the ‘Assist with Serena's Covert Operations’ event

- It has been confirmed that the UI completion indicator resets when moving to a different area after completing the daily mission of the ‘Assist with Serena's Covert Operations’ event.

- Please note that due to this issue, the mission completion indicator will not count further, and rewards cannot be claimed multiple times.

■ (#3) (Resolved) Issue where monsters spawn in the air intermittently
- It has been confirmed that during missions, monsters intermittently spawn in the air.

■ (#3) (Resolved) [Event] Issue with Missing Notification When Exceeding Purchase Limits in the Operation Support Shop

- An issue has been identified where no notification is displayed when attempting to purchase an item beyond its purchase limit in the Operation Support Shop.

- While the notification does not appear, please note that purchases exceeding the set limit cannot be completed.

- This issue will be fixed in Hotfix 1.2.11, ensuring the notification is displayed properly.



■ Issue Where the Descendant Disappears When Entering Photo Mode in Certain Situations

- An issue has been identified where the Descendant disappears from the screen when entering Photo Mode after positioning them against a wall and adjusting the camera so that they are no longer visible.



■ Incorrect Description of Auto Refill Rounds for Vespers Hunting Dog in Languages Other than Korean and English

- An issue has been identified where the Auto Refill Rounds effect for Vespers Hunting Dog was incorrectly described in languages other than Korean and English.

- The description mistakenly stated that the effect applies to the “equipped weapon” instead of the “currently using weapon.”



■ Issue Where Incorrect Fellow is Displayed in the Fellow Spawn Tooltip

- An issue has been identified where the tooltip for the Fellow Spawn item incorrectly indicates that only Hagios Sheepdog can be equipped.

- Please note that both Hagios Sheepdog and Vespers Hunting Dog can equip the Fellow spawn item.



■ (#3) (Resolved) Issue Where MP Collector Module Effect Occasionally Fails to Activate

- It has been confirmed that the preview of spray rewards obtainable from the Battle Pass is displayed as the preview of the last checked social motion.

[Previous Known Issues]

■ Freyna’s Exclusive Quest Icon Appearing for Other Descendants

- Freyna’s exclusive quest cannot be played with other Descendants and can only be progressed with Freyna or Ultimate Freyna.



■ [PS][XBOX] Display of the Top Menu When Clicking the ‘Go to Web Help’ or ‘Content Creator’ Buttons to Navigate to the Homepage

- On the ‘PS’ and ‘XBOX’ platforms, clicking the ‘Go to Web Help’ or ‘Content Creator’ buttons to navigate to the homepage results in the top menu being displayed.

- Please note that, while navigation to other pages within the homepage is possible, actions such as ‘Login,’ ‘Start Game,’ and ‘Enter Coupon’ cannot be performed due to this issue.



■ [PS5] Voice Chat Issue When Creating a Party on PS4 Platform

- It has been identified that voice chat does not function properly when creating a party on the PS4 platform.



■ Intel CPU Issue.

- Crashes have been reported on some Intel 13th and 14th generation CPUs.

- On PCs using these CPUs, the game may forcefully shut down with an error message stating 'Out of video memory' when launched.

This issue can be partially resolved by adjusting power limits in the BIOS.

- We are awaiting a response from Intel regarding this issue, and we are sharing Intel's official response for your reference.



■ Temporary solutions for client termination issues with certain antivirus Programs

- We have requested for exceptions for The First Descendant to antivirus programs, but some have not been implemented. Below are temporary solutions for this problem.

(1) ‘Bitdefender’ Temporary Solution [FAQ]

- Go to System Protection > Advanced Threat Detection (ATD) > Manage Exclusions menu, select the file or folder for The First Descendant, and save.

(2) ‘McAfee Agent’ Temporary Solution [FAQ]

- Go to McAfee Security > Navigation > Quarantined and Trusted Items, select TheFirstDescendant.exe from the quarantined programs list, and restore it.



■ Solutions for ‘Easy Anti-Cheat’ not functioning correctly

- If Easy Anti-Cheat malfunctions, refer to the FAQ for solutions. If the issue persists, please contact customer support with relevant screenshots.
