huge step for us. Even before that, we were, and still are, so

show you all the stuff we achieved thanks to you! π So many of you are forever ingrained into the game with
your name in the credits, because of your support during
our two Kickstarters, you brought a piece of
Tavern Talk into the real world with our
Makeship campaign and stickers.
So much wouldn't be possible without you. π«Ά[/p][p][/p][p]Over the last year, we
sold almost 80.000 copies (including Nintendo Switch) πͺ, you all have
written way over 1.400 reviews on Steam βοΈ, won the
Gamescom Award for most wholesome 2025 π, and were
nominated for so many awards! π₯³ A couple of months after the release, we gave you the
story DLC Tempest Tantrum, introducing a new
three-hour-long story, a
new character,
familiar and
drink!πΈ [/p][p][/p][p]We have had
16 patches on Steam. Including smaller bug fixes and improvements like sound effect implementations, ambient sounds, achievement fixes, and
so much more![/p][p][/p][p]
Transparency and communication with our community are extremely important for us! And based on your
feedback & suggestions that you've left in our
Discord,
Reviews, or
Steam discussions, we tried to implement as much as we can into Tavern Talk. β¨[/p][p][/p][p]
Let's dive in and see how much has changed since June 20th, 2024! ππ[/p][p][/p][h2]
Improvements[/h2][p][/p][p]We had many improvements for Tavern Talk,
ranging from big to small. Like
general localization improvements for our different languages. If you caught a mistake or a more fitting phrasing in our game for your native language, we implemented this change as fast as we could, after consulting with our localization teams. They edited the
English version to raise quality and translated Tavern Talk into
Japanese,
Simplified Chinese, Korean, and
German (yes, we didn't have the capacity and time to do that ourselves). [/p][p][/p][p]We learned that sometimes less is more, and so we
changed the frequency of the
Swift Strike that was ordered a lot in the beginning. So much so that
it even became a meme. π

[/p][p][/p][p]Another meme became the pooping bird in the background and while it still poops, it happens way less often now. π¦ββ¬
That evil, evil bird...[/p][p][/p][p]For all the Streamers and Content Creators, we ensured that the game sound was still running in the background even if you tapped out of the game. That way,
you can still enjoy the cozy tavern music! πΆ
This is not the only thing we implemented for Streamers, but more on that later when we
take a look at the features![/p][p][/p][p]
One of the first big changes we made was implementing a
more challenging rumor minigame and the
hint button for everybody who needs the extra bit of help. β[/p][p][/p][p]

[/p][p]Over time, we added new
Wanted Wall characters thanks to our
original Kickstarter and our
second Kickstarter, all about the official sticker set! π[/p][p][/p][p]

[/p][p]We implemented more
monitor-dependent resolutions and
added a monitor selection option in the settings menu. For anyone who has more than one monitor with different resolutions. [/p][p][/p][p]

[/p][p]And we even got
decorations for anybody with a wide-screen monitor! I mean, who wants to see black bars on their
beautiful, wide monitor, am I right? π₯οΈ[/p][p][/p][p]

[/p][p]Hot chocolate is Melina's favorite drink, and for some odd reason, in the days after release, she thought
every drink was hot chocolate. Can't really blame her for that wishful thinking, right? Now she detects the hot chocolate just when she actually gets one. π«[/p][p][/p][p]

[/p][p]Last but not least on the list of improvements -
the Steam Deck! Tavern Talk was not only our first entertainment game, but also the
first game we developed for the Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch! [/p][p]And while the UI was
perfectly fine for your PC or TV, it
wasn't quite enough for a smaller handheld device. Something we changed very swiftly to make it through
Steam Deck verification! β

Features[/h2][p][/p][p]We originally gave the
alternative Fable Costume to all
Kickstarter Supporters backing a copy of the game
. Today, everybody owning the
Supporter Edition Upgrade gains access to it! π₯° This is one of our first features for the game, and the design was part of a vote on our Discord!
It's completely community-powered![/p][p][/p][p]

[/p][p][/p][p]As mentioned before, we had
something special planned for our
dearest Streamers, and that was our
Twitch integration! Enabling your chat to participate in your Tavern Talk streaming sessions in a more meaningful way! π΄[/p][p][/p][p]

certain commands, participants can vote on dialogue choices and drinks, and even pet Andu whenever you spend time in the drink mixing nook![/p][p][/p][p]

[/p][p]The other feature we can no longer live without is the
Fast-Forward button! With multiple endings, it soon became very clear that we needed to find a way to let you run through the game faster. π£οΈ[/p][p][/p][p]And thanks to the
Fast-Forward button on screen and the "remember dialogue" button in the settings, you can go through a second, third, and fourth run
at the speed of light! π«[/p][p][/p][p]

Trinket Gallery and Zoom! The trinkets mean a lot to the story of Tavern Talk, but also to us because some of them are
co-designed by our Kickstarter backers.[/p][p][/p][p]So giving them even
more of a spotlight besides the lorebook and in-game appearance was something we anticipated for a long time, and eventually delivered this spring. π»[/p][p][/p][p]

The in-game zoom that the game now does every time you receive a trinket makes it extra special and fits into the game so well! This was also a suggestion made by the community. π[/p][p][/p][p]

Events[/h2][p][/p][p]Just like us, Tavern Talk and the world of Asteria are constantly changing, and things are just happening. And to symbolize this, we decided to implement seasonal events! For example, the
Fall season. π[/p][p][/p][p]

Among Us crew running around causing chaos. This special seasonal event even comes with

not in the mood for a specific season, we have you covered! We implemented a button in the main menu settings where you can turn the season
on and off, however you like. π«°[/p][p][/p][p]
