The fan-favorite Age of Rime has been added as a free update to our latest remake of Myst. This new version of Rime includes all-new narrative beats, new lore, and new sights to behold, ensuring that Myst (2021) is now the definitive and complete way to experience the story and worlds of Myst.



Following the completion of the main story in Myst, or upon loading a completed game, a new journey awaits you somewhere on Myst Island.

The Age of Rime introduces players to the snowy, mountainous seascape that Atrus and his family would visit in years past, before the events of Myst and Riven upended their lives. This Myst has been fully redesigned and created from the ground up using the Unreal Engine, the same engine we used on Obduction. Many of the puzzles have been reimagined and engineered to include optional puzzle randomization and also keep accessibility in mind.

Hey everyone!

We just pushed out a small update for Mac to help fix up the black screen issue that would show with maximum graphics settings on high resolution displays. While you shouldn't need to from what we've seen, if you continue to have the issue after the update, please delete the graphics.ini file located in /Documents/My Games/Myst V End of Ages/init/

Thank you for your patience while we were getting this minor update for Myst V: End of Ages ready for Steam. Thanks too for your support of our games.

We have been working to ready all of the games in the Myst series for the 25th Anniversary of Myst, which happens later this month. Most of the games in the series required compatibility updates, but Myst V did not - it runs quite nicely on Windows 10! We do have a few notes for you though.

The tablet can appear on-screen during some cut-scenes

In rare cases, the Bahro will become frozen trying to interact with the tablet. This requires the game to be closed and restarted.
