Added new enemies and improved UX

Greetings!

Firstly, we want to thank everyone who supported Deck of Souls during the Early Access release. Your feedback, suggestions, and comments are really valuable to the team.

We are currently working on the first update, which will contain:
  • Three new enemies in the city;
  • Two new backgrounds in the city;
  • Five new relics.


We have also prepared a number of QoL improvements based on your feedback:
  • Provided clarity on the order in which cards are played. We hope there will be no more issues with this.
  • Accelerated animations. You can now select the speed in the game settings.
  • Added description of the conditions ton unlock new classes.
  • Removed the need to select a class after finishing the tutorial.
  • It is now clear which items can be upgraded and which cannot.
  • And some other changes.

Now we are testing this update, fixing bugs, and making edits, and very soon you will be able to play the new version of Deck of Souls.

Deck of Souls is out Early Access! See the roadmap!

We're excited to announce that Deck of Souls is finally available in Early Access. Thank you to everyone who added the game to the Wishlist and supported us during the development. We hope you enjoy the game and have a lot of fun fighting the forces of Heaven and Hell. Your feedback and comments are very welcome – they will help us to continue making Deck of Souls better and more interesting.

[h2]Early Access [/h2]
Deck of Souls' Early Access will contain:
  • 3 hero classes: Holy Lich, Divine Knight, and Saint Talon – including numerous cards for each. There will be 77 cards for Holy Lich, 61 cards for Warrior, 64 cards for Saint Talon, and 32 neutral cards;
  • 3 incredible story chapters to replay over and over again;
  • 3 deadly bosses, each with the challenging two-stage battles;
  • 3 different merchants;
  • Unique items for each class, consisting of 28 items for the Holy Lich, 19 for the Saint Talon, 28 for the Warrior, 9 neutral items, and 7 relics;
  • 55 unique combat encounters, including bosses and random events;
  • 83 different nodes that treasure-filled glory or deadly combat encounters;
  • Over 140 different passives, but you'll have to play the game to uncover all of them!

[h2]Update 1[/h2]
We plan to add new hero equipment and enemies. We will also implement a number of QoL improvements based on feedback from players.

[h2]Update 2[/h2]
The most important changes in this update:
  • In-between-run upgrades: permanently improving hero stats, gaining new skills, and more.
  • Run difficulty modifiers.
  • New cards.
  • New passives.

[h2]Update 3[/h2]
The following additions will become available:
  • The fourth chapter of the story.
  • New biome: the Castle.
  • A new boss.
  • New random events.
  • More enemies.
  • As well as two new sub-bosses.

[h2]Update 4[/h2]
While Deck of Souls is in Early Access, we'll read and consider all of the comments, reviews, and feedback from players. Feel free to share your ideas for the game with us, and we'll add the most relevant ones during this update.

In addition, we will add:
  • New events.
  • New items.
  • More QoL improvements.

[h2]Update 5[/h2]
In the final update, we'll release:
  • Final chapter and end of story.
  • Final boss.
  • New biome: Hell.
  • New enemies.
  • 4 new sub-bosses.

Fixed a few bugs and updated the demo!

Greetings!

Thank you to everyone who supported Deck of Souls and played our new demo. We'd love to read about your impressions and ideas, so feel free to post your thoughts in the discussions on Steam or in our Discord.

We've updated the demo a bit, improving some mechanics and fixing a few bugs.
  • Stealth will allow you to avoid debuffs;
  • All-round improved map generator;
  • Replaced the final node icon on the map;
  • Fixed Chinese localization issues;
  • Fixed an issue where debuff icons would still display after the previous battle;
  • Made minor balancing changes to cards.

Update the Deck of Souls demo to try out the new patch. And don't forget to add the game to your Wishlist!
