Modding Music
You can now officially mod the game's music, for example if you want to give you dungeon custom vibes!

For reference, please refer to the bundled "Quest Master" mod to find out how to mod music!
Secret Update Delay
Unfortunately the Secret Update still needs a bit of time, so we had to delay it to next Friday, the 21th!
We hope you understand.
25% Off, Get It While It's Hot!
Quest Master is 25% off for the next week, so buy it now if you haven't already!

https://store.steampowered.com/app/2094070/Quest_Master/

See you next week!

Version 0.10.8 Unlocks Early Access
Skeleton Key
The Skeleton Key allows you to open as many locked doors/blocks as you want!
Conveyor Belt Quality of Life
A conveyor belt's initial direction when placed is now determined by your cursor movement!
Secret Update Launch Date
The secret update that we teased last week will launch next Friday, the 14th of March! Along with it, we are having a sale on the game, so If you have not picked up the full game before, there will be a chance right there!

Version 0.10.7 Combines Onto Early Access
Fragments and Fragment Conditions
One of the most requested features, global conditions, are now implemented in the form of fragments and fragment conditions!
They work across the entire dungeon, meaning different rooms and floors.

There's ten fragments available for use.

Each fragment has corresponding fragment conditions!

This puzzle requires lighting all the torches across the floor to open the door.
Color Conditions
New Color conditions have been added that allow you to check of the state of the color switch. Very handy for scenarios where a part doesn't have an explicit color variant available!

There's one condition for each possible color!

It allows you to do things you could not easily do before.
Propeller Conditions
The new propeller conditions allow you to check for the state of all propellers in the room without having to use a shape.

It's just a little quality of life condition.
Honey
The new honey floor tile makes you stick to the ground, preventing you from jumping!
Objects that are thrown into honey also do not break!

Stepping into honey prevents all objects from jumping, like players and skeletons!

Objects do not break when you throw them into honey. Use that to your advantage!
Secret Update Sneak Peak
To close, here's a sneak peak for the secret update that's coming shortly! We can't quite make it into February, but it will follow shortly at the start of March!

Version 0.10.6 Teleports Onto Early Access
Dungeon Mod Bundling
Used mods are now bundled when you upload a dungeon! Now you can finally upload your modded dungeons without requiring players to have the necessary mods installed manually.
Skin Voice Modding
Custom character skins can now specify custom voice sounds!
The Dark Lanze example skin mod documents this.
More Teleporter Colors
The teleporter comes in 6 exciting new colors now!
What's Next?
Custom music is up next for modding, along with modding actual dungeons parts like items and tiles. Full custom themes will conclude the modding adventure!

And no worries, more exciting non-mod related features are still being worked on like mirrors and global conditions. Thomas is back on working on Quest Master so we are moving full steam ahead!

Cheers
Julian

Version 0.10.5 Lauches Onto Early Access
Create Custom Rings
You can now create mods that add custom rings to Quest Master!
The game ships with a new example mod that adds a ring that increases the swimming speed.

Note
Custom rings can solely be used within ringless dungeons.

Rings can be given many attributes that the base game does not utilize, like modifying movement speed or gravity. So be creative!
Use Custom Pets In Dungeons
Just like custom rings, modded pets can also be used in dungeons now!

SCREENSHOT

Note
I do not advise you to upload modded dungeons just yet. You can do that, but it implicitly requires each player to have the required mods installed. I will make a separate update post that introduces mod bundling with the dungeon itself, which is when I would recommend you to upload a modded dungeon instead. (If you really can't wait, perhaps tell players in your mod description what mods to install)
Sneak Peaks
I know many of y'all are looking forward to certain exciting features I've talked about before. While they are not ready just yet, here's a few sneak peaks at what's to come!
Mirrors
Mirrors are able to be rotated in eight directions and can reflect both projectiles and light.
Global Conditions
With global conditions you can trigger things in different rooms, and even different floors!
Lunarc Vulnerability
Lunarc can finally become vulnerable by shining light on him!
Update Schedule Changes
Unfortunately it's become evident that many people base their mental health on Quest Master updates, which is far from what I intended to achieve when setting out to make a weekly update. This also takes a toll on my mental health, because people have expectations that sometimes cannot be met due to things that happen internally, which usually requires me to make a post to explain myself.

From today on, updates are not guaranteed to happen weekly, and not necessarily on Friday.
Most weeks will probably still have an update on Friday. But it could also be Thursday, or Saturday. Or not at all! Perhaps even two updates a week or more. I want to be more flexible and surprising with the updates to give you, me and the team some ease of mind.

I hope y'all can understand this!

Cheers
Julian
