Patch #10 - French + Autosaves

We present to you a quite small (but impactful to some) Alchemist: The Potion Monger update!

Thanks to the support of our Discord friend - EverSilver we finally managed to implement the French language into the game. Merci beaucoup!

[h3]AUTOSAVES[/h3]

The game now saves automatically at the end of every day (and night). Sleep-saves are still functional but autosave might prove useful if you forgot to use your bedroll or your game crashed before you did.

  • Steam Deck now works properly with keyboard and mouse

Patch #9 - Improved Gamepad Support


[h3]Hello Alchemists!
We present the next Alchemist: The Potion Monger update! It's centered around improving the gamepad support and modifying the UI to work better with it.
As always seasoned with a handful of bug fixes![/h3]
That's Patch #9 - Improved Gamepad Support for you:

[h3]HIGHLIGHTS[/h3]
[h3]UI Improvements[/h3]

Many UI panels and the Almanac were tweaked to work better with the gamepad. You'll no longer feel that you're playing the keyboard and mouse game with your controller.

[h3]Vibrations[/h3]

Now all gamepad users' experience will be enhanced with the vibrations, accompanying them while using the tools, brewing potions, interacting with the game world, using potions, and many more!

[h3]Easier Interactions[/h3]

We improved interaction with small objects such as Red Eyes, Flies, etc. while using the gamepad. No more testing your nerves and reflexes while trying to interact with them!

[h3]OTHERS[/h3]
  • Weapons no longer glow in the dark
  • Japanese language unresponsive UI fixed
  • Red-eyes no longer die when sleeping during the mission
  • Contracts no longer fail to load when loading old save files
  • Fixed issues with drawing distance
  • Fixed issues with the emission on the lamps at night

Quick Fix #6 - Philosopher Part II and some additional fixes

Hello alchemists!
This time, we present a quick fix mostly focused on fixing the rest of the Philosopher Stone recipes and adding some new ones suggested by the community (thanks again @Waffles!).

That's not all:
  • The context menu no longer appears mid-conversation
  • Improved zoning - fewer disappearing objects
  • Fixed the collisions of the market stalls
  • Dried Many Eyes now has a proper in-hand position
  • Actualized contracts pop-up graphics

Quick Fix #5 - Philosopher Stone and squished bugs

Hello alchemists!
We present to you our biggest Quick Fix solving reported issues after Patch #8, check this out:
  • Many Philosopher Stone recipes fixed (thanks @Waffles for the suggestions)
  • Goat racial perk now works properly (faster skills leveling)
  • Spoiled Milk now has a more distinct icon
  • Arrow keys can now be used for movement
  • Player skills are no longer referred to as abilities
  • Fixed glowing objects on the Swamplands
  • Fixed glowing zone near the Winterlands
  • The mayor no longer has a waypoint above after finishing all quests
  • Mayor plants now receive lighting properly
  • Changed wording in "We are almost over" to "We are almost done"
  • Changed old tutorial popups
  • Added collider to the contemplation shrine mark
  • Caged red-eyed can't be aggroed now
  • Ingredient icons are no longer rendered on top of the landmark's name on the map
  • Unholy Nuke now works on the player
  • The player is no longer slowed down when scrolling after blocking
  • Philosopher stone can no longer be dropped (now really)
  • The chest can no longer be hidden inside itself (now really)
  • Items that are not in-game can not be accessed through the Black Market
  • Fixed objects disappearing too soon
  • Trees LOD no longer changes too early
  • Fixed NPCs sometimes walking when fighting
  • Fixed audio zones
  • The dog now receives light properly inside the tavern and mayor's mansion
  • Pirate no longer greets through the wall
  • Calypso is no longer frozen in her pose after giving the player the recipe
  • Winterlands now freezes regardless of where you came from
