Patch #8 - Know your Customer and destroy bugs

We present the next Alchemist: The Potion Monger heavy bug-fixing update! It contains a slight rework of the player market stall and a new skill to highlight it.

Thanks for reporting that many bugs (as always especially to @Waffles from our Discord), this won't be possible by ourselves.

We have reworked a player stall potion selling system by adding the new skill - Know your Customer. After completing its related task, it allows you to see what prices for what potion are appropriate based on the color scheme. Light Green - very easy to sell, to Dark Red - very hard to sell.

All the trade-related skills and potions have been reworked to work with the new system, which means they no longer grant you bonus gold but increase the probability of buying for your set price instead!
The context menu now properly shows moving whole stacks to the counter.

  • Cave music plays in the right place now
  • The context menu no longer appears through the Almanac
  • Bob now has the right idle dialogue during the Slimy Fertilizer quest
  • The bartender no longer greats through the wall
  • Characters no longer blink at the same time
  • The priest cap no longer disappears
  • Siting characters no longer rotate to a player during dialogues
  • Dog no longer breathes underwater
  • The Lighthouse no longer disappears
  • Potions description scales now properly in the Almanac
  • Ingredients count now displays the proper number
  • Christmas tree gifts are no more
  • The Mayor no longer gets aggroed
  • Cows now move their ears and tails on the high-quality
  • The mayor is no longer called Mayor during dialogues
  • Fixed the models of some foxes and goats NPC
  • Fixed the bug causing the inscription on the Portals and shop signs to not appear in the Chinese and Japanese languages
  • A player is no longer able to do things when the game is paused
  • The chest can no longer be put in the same chest (sic.)
  • NPCs are no longer able to enter the player's home
  • Pressing the block button a couple of times no longer disables the block
  • Philosopher Stone can no longer be dropped
  • Ancient Remedy Potion no longer disables Eve and Salem's interactions
  • Green Light no longer blocks interaction
  • Love and Affection Potion now stops NPC from attacking
  • Killing the sheep no longer removes the sheep from the player's garden
  • Fear gas now affects the player
  • Freezing and Burning now negate each other
  • Cauldron rotation is now saved
  • Heal effect on the sheep now displays properly
  • Automatic potion creation no longer consumes two ingredients on the shelf
  • Fixed the liquid position on the Electrostatic Machine
  • Winterland freezing effect no longer prevents players from drinking or throwing potions
  • Invisibility is now canceled when throwing a potion
  • Jump Potion is now considered neutral
  • Slimes King Crown now drops properly
  • Unholy Nuke now affects the player
  • Dirtybomb now works on the player
  • A player can no longer pet during potion-throwing
  • Double Shelves now have proper colliders
Phew!
It seems this is our biggest bug-fixing update so far!

Quick Fix #4 - Band-aid for various things

Hello alchemists!
We present to you a Quick Fix to solve the reported issues after Patch #7, namely:
  • Players will no longer be able to soft-lock themselves during the Bandit quest
  • Fixed disappearing contracts
  • Red-eyed no longer disappear during the main quest
  • Shopkeepers should now appear at the stalls
  • Stinkbomb now works as intended
  • Danse Macabre now works as intended
  • Ice Potion now works as intended
  • Bandits are now fearless

Patch #7 - Grass and debug

A whole lot of issues were reported in the last 2 weeks so we decided to push another bonus, offroad (hehe) update live. Treat it as something extra for you, it will not interfere with our planned Road Map updates. We present to you Patch #7 - Grass and debug![/h3]

To make the game world more beautiful and colorful we decided to change the bland and dull grass for new shiny and flavourful greens.
It will undoubtedly make your time spent with Alchemist: The Potion Monger even more cozy!

  • Eve now gives gifts as intended when affected by Love Potion
  • Powdered milk no longer causes issues in the Cauldron
  • Deathcap no longer clips out of Athanor
  • Bob, the Blacksmith, and Bonny now return to their proper places after being aggroed
  • Jump Potion is no longer considered a positive effect
  • Shelves no longer clip into the wall of the player's home
  • Ice Potion now works as intended
  • Bob's horns no longer deal damage
  • Poison Cloud now works as intended
  • Toxic Cumulonimbus is finally worth its name!
  • Calypso no longer returns to her grave
  • Stinkbomb now works as intended
  • Fear Potion now works as intended
  • Description of Apprentice mode fixed to display proper information
  • Firebreathing Potion no longer sets the player on fire
  • Danse Macabre now works on the key NPC
  • Salem's fists no longer deal damage after his death
  • Bonny now sales The Great Dirtybomb recipe
  • Eve now fights when attacked
  • Eve and Salem have more health
  • Propper names displayed in the dialogues for key NPC
  • Fixed disappearing potion effects
  • Additional safety measures to prevent the Bandit quest from soft-locking players' progress
  • Cows no longer fight among themselves for their place in the garden
  • The Almanac Ingredients tab now shows the proper information
  • The tavern sign now has a collision
  • Map no longer displays the houses that are not in the world

Quick Fix #3 - Shy Bandit and Disappearing Cows

Hello alchemists!
Just a quick fix of a bug not allowing some players to interact with Jacob the bandit leader, cows sometimes not appearing during the Butchery quest, and a change to the Philosopher Stone recipes for the Sheep Metamorphosis Potion.
