Bloober Team has made a name for itself in the world of horror. With the release of a range of different titles, including some established franchises such as The Blair Witch and Silent Hill, along with their own concepts with The Medium and Layers of Fear, the studio has shown an ability to craft complex and often terrifying worlds that demand to be explored.





But now, with Cronos: The New Dawn, it’s working on one of its most ambitious projects yet — crafting a deep and horrifying experience that looks to be as unsettling as it is unique. There’s no denying that Bloober Team has crafted something special with Cronos: The New Dawn, and it’s a game horror fans are eagerly awaiting as we edge closer to launch.

Cronos: The New Dawn is a Slow, Brutal Fight for Survival — and I’m Hooked


From the first teasers of Cronos: The New Dawn, it looked like a shift for Bloober Team, presenting a new dark world to explore. Even with those early teasers, it wasn’t until I finished the Silent Hill 2 remake and saw a few new details about the game that it truly felt like something I needed to keep on my radar. With that excitement and curiosity, when the chance came to attend a preview event for the game, I jumped at it, eager to explore more of what Cronos: The New Dawn actually is and to dive into what makes the game so interesting.





The early looks at Cronos: The New Dawn gave it a sense of oppressive dread, making it feel as though no matter what you do, you are small and insignificant. After playing about two hours of the game’s opening moments, I have news for you: that feeling never goes away. Even with only the first few sections under my belt, I can confidently say Cronos: The New Dawn is one of the darkest, most oppressive game worlds I have ever explored.

[/p][p][/p][p]A select group of journalists and content creators experienced Cronos for the very first time in the midst of Kraków’s iconic Nowa Huta district, the real-life inspiration for our game’s New Dawn.  [/p][p] [/p][p][/p][p]📍 Ground Zero: The Steelworks [/p][p]This was no ordinary venue. Nowa Huta’s stark, brutalist legacy shapes both the game’s visuals and its emotional core - a setting that perfectly echoes New Dawn’s fractured future. [/p][p] [/p][p]During the session, participants dove into an exclusive, fully playable slice of the game, featuring: [/p][p] [/p][p]🧠 Real-time survival combat against the Orphans 
🔁 The unique Merge mechanic that makes every encounter feel unpredictable 
🎮 A look into the game’s inventory and progression systems
