Hotfix #8 - Interaction & Steam Deck Fixes

  • [p]Added a new forward-facing raycast to reliably detect interactive objects and NPCs.[/p]
  • [p]Interactions can now be triggered consistently using the controller (A/B button).[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where the raycast didn’t always register targets, causing interactions to fail.[/p]
[h3] Steam Deck Cursor & UI Fix[/h3]
  • [p]Fixed a bug where the Steam Deck cursor was passing through UI elements.[/p]
  • [p]Menu clicks were being interpreted as movement commands — this has now been corrected.[/p]
  • [p]UI navigation with the Steam Deck cursor now works as intended.[/p]

Key Fixes: Time is Now Flowing Correctly!
[p][/p][p]We tackled some trickier bugs. Here’s what those changes mean for you:[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a major bug where sequences (animations, dialogue, events) would fail to load correctly when transitioning between scenes (e.g., main menu, game world, wardrobe). This was causing characters to freeze, NPCs to go missing, or quests and the tutorial to break. All scenes should now load properly with all their intended events and interactions.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed the exam timer during Digital Media classes. Previously, the timer could be inaccurate, ending exams too early or too late. The timer is now precise, giving you the correct amount of time to complete the mini-game.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where the in-game time coroutine (the background clock) was running twice. This was causing errors in event logic, such as time passing too quickly or "jumping" between times of day. The game's time progression is now stable and consistent.[/p]
  • [p]Corrected incorrect information popups that appeared when sitting down in various locations (e.g., the lecture hall, cafeteria, or your room). Popups will now display the correct contextual information.[/p]
  • [p]Implemented real-time player stat updates. Before, stats like energy, mood, relationships, and study progress wouldn't update immediately after an activity (like sleeping, eating, or talking). Now, all your stats refresh instantly, so you'll see the changes right away.[/p]

Campus Life - Hotfix Patch #7

[p][/p][p]Hello Students![/p][p]We have rolled out a fresh hotfix for Campus Life. It smooths out exploration, tightens interactions, and clears up a few visual hiccups around campus. Many of these tweaks come straight from your reports. Thank you for speaking up![/p][p]This update also tackles recommended activities, skill tree info, exam panels, time progression, seating detection, and several NPC behaviors. You will also notice new activities linked with skills and cleaner pop-ups in the early moments of the game.[/p][p]List of fixes and improvements:[/p]
  • [p]Fixed recommended activities that incorrectly pointed to classes in even weeks.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a brief flash of the time skip pop-up during the first tutorial dialogue.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed goal descriptions in the character creator.[/p]
  • [p]Disabled the thesis toggle in the Exams menu.[/p]
  • [p]Added a level-up pop-up when a skill levels up.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed time progression turning off.[/p]
  • [p]Improved resolution of specific icons and images in the build.[/p]
  • [p]Improved detection of the nearest seat for furniture.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed the player character rendering on top of objects that should occlude them.[/p]

  • [p]Blocked entry to an empty lot next to the SNC building.[/p]
  • [p]Updated the skill tree content and the information displayed for individual skills.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where gray elements appeared in the skill tree window when the player skipped the tutorial.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed Owen’s behavior in a mission.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed one scenario of the math minigame.[/p]
  • [p]Removed NPCs from chairs intended for reading.[/p]

QoL Update, Mac support and FREE Trial of Campus Life Before You Enroll!

[p]Hello Students! 🎓[/p][p]We're thrilled to announce that the Dean's office has approved a special trial session for those still wondering whether to enroll or not! We want everyone to have a chance to get acquainted with Campus Life before deciding on full matriculation.[/p][p]Therefore, we are officially opening the doors of our university and invite you to try our free trail of Campus Life! This is a great opportunity for you to see if this course of study is right for you.[/p][p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p]Your trial session on campus will last exactly 60 minutes. There will be no option to save your progress - think of it as a one-time, eventful workshop.[/p]

[p]We also have great news for all students using alternative notebooks! Our virtual university is now available for Mac users.[/p][p][/p]
Fixes & Changes
[p]For all you diligent students who love to read the syllabus before class, we've also got some "lecture notes" from our recent cram session. Here’s a list of the extra credit work we put in to make your campus experience even better.[/p][p]We added a progress bar for ongoing activities...[/p][p]...and increased the duration of lectures from 5 to 10 seconds.[/p][p][/p][p]We are quite excited about this one - you can now connect items to chairs![/p][p][/p][p]The first floor of ART building appears now earlier.[/p][p][/p][p]We also improved how friend activities are displayed.[/p][p][/p][p]We also have tackled the bug with starting activities.[/p][p][/p][p]Here's a list of fixes and improvements:[/p]

  • [p]Improved how friend activities are displayed (during a phone call, only activities that can be started remotely are now visible).[/p]

  • [p]Changed the visibility of work-related activities; they will now always be visible, regardless of whether the player meets the requirements.[/p]
  • [p]Added an effect to display the player character over objects that obscure them, making it easier to locate your character.[/p]
  • [p]Adjusted the category of some activities so they display correctly in the calendar.[/p]
  • [p]Changed the configuration of the ART building so that the first floor appears earlier.[/p]
  • [p]Resolved issues with loading interactive objects.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed bugs with starting activities (mainly jobs) that were sometimes impossible to begin even if the player met all requirements.[/p]
  • [p]Added a system for connecting items to chairs.[/p]

  • [p]Selecting objects with the mouse now has priority over selection by approaching the object.[/p]

Campus Life - Hotfix Patch #6

[p][/p][p]Hello Students![/p][p]We’ve just released yet another hotfix to further polish the campus experience and squash bugs that were impacting exploration and interaction across campus. Many of these changes are a direct result of your feedback - thank you for continuing to report issues and ideas.[/p][p]List of fixes and improvements:[/p]
  • [p]Blocked opening the Skip Time panel via hotkey when that action should be disabled.[/p]
  • [p]Improved camera behavior when going up/down stairs inside the ART building.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed problems with objects not being disabled properly when the player moves through underground tunnels in the academy.[/p]
  • [p]Resolved instances where interactions with objects became difficult when the camera was far away.[/p]
  • [p]Corrected issues where NPC dialogue didn’t display properly.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed cases where the player could get stuck on sidewalks during movement.[/p]
  • [p]Prevented unintended movement through certain walls inside the Basketball Arena.[/p]
