New Demo Version!

Hi all!

I just uploaded a new version of the demo with some big mechanical updates.

The biggest change is that now units will trade damage during attacks. This makes the game a lot faster in a good way I think.

Second is the introduction of cell effects. These are buffs and debuffs that happen to units in specific cells. This makes the arrangement and positioning of your grid even more strategic.

Other than this, there are many small improvements and bug fixes.

A bunch of updates to the playtest version of the game, which is open to anyone who signs up:

📙 Small story revisions and sketches for stories 1-1 through 1-3

👁️ New rank unlocked message and demo specific % complete

📖 Adds a wiki page for indulgences

🪧Adds different messages for demo version

🐛 No longer allows dying units to be included in combining into levelled unit

🐛 Fixes bug with unmovable units on bottom row after they have been deselected

🐛 Fixes bug where you can move/sell a unit that is getting killed by Statim Mortem in the prep phase

🥰 New enemy teams for 1-2 and 1-3 (and these ranks now have multiple enemy teams each)

💩 Reintroduced Infected Heretic unit

🦆 Text and callout for Silent Executioner's useless distillation

🥲 Altar beast now only buffs "newest" adjacent summons

🥲 Fixes some wiki text about preparation and adds info in wiki about new distillation system

💩 Makes in-store attainment and wiki stuff easier to close/navigate - fixes help link for distillation

🔥🔥 First pass at new distillation behavior - only triggers N times per battle

Steam playtest is now open

Today I've opened the up the Steam playtest for Order Automatica!

I'm working towards creating a demo, but as an initial offering I've opened up the playtest to anyone who signs up. The playtest version has what I hope to have in the demo + a little bit more.

Development Update! - February 2023

Hi all!

I just wanted to take a second to share with you what's going on in development.

First of all, we got some really amazing capsule art from the artist Steven Hancher. Not only does this help us get attention for the game, but the process really helped us think about the vibe and story of the game. Check it out:



Secondly, we've been doing a big overhaul to the in-game visuals, which is being done by Kartik Kini from Finite Reflection studios. We're really excited about it:
