We are deploying a new patch (Ver. 0.15.0) to bring various changes and improvements to the game. The team is working hard on new features and content for the future, like some discussed in Jaeeun’s recent dev log. We appreciate you waiting patiently, and we’re also looking forward to the day we can bring them to you! Until then, we will share more news on what the team is working on through more blogs.
Meanwhile, we are also reviewing all suggestions and issues as always, in order to deploy hotfixes and patches so that everyone can enjoy Blackout Protocol more.

Please note that if you are playing at this time, your game will not be interrupted. You will be prompted to download the patch the next time you open Blackout Protocol. It is possible for teammates to play with mismatched game versions, which could potentially impact gameplay. So please install the update as soon as possible for the best experience.

- Updated the game engine’s version, from UE4 to UE5
- While this may not bring many dramatic changes in this patch, it allows us to have a better foundation for creating a better game and adding new systems & contents down the road
- One immediate benefit is slightly better color saturation
- Our team worked very hard to make the engine upgrade a smooth change, but, if you encounter any issues, please let us know via Discord or Steam forums
- Added ragdoll physics for deceased enemies
- Added additional UI in the Lobby screen
- Added a pop-up for creating a room in Squad Mode
- This is where you can set the room’s name, switch between private/public sessions, and allow mid-session joining

- Added the Networking Preference selector within the Lobby UI, to allow you to search for a room globally or closer to home. It can be found above the room list
- Added a pop-up for creating a room in Squad Mode
[h2]Changes/Improvements[/h2]
- Adjusted various elements to improve game balance
- Extended roll dodge’s distance and invincibility window
- Adjusted so that harder combat scenarios come later–after clearing the Exosuit at least once
- Adjusted the number of enemy spawns for certain combat scenarios to make them less punishing
- Adjusted the number of Skirmishers & Ravagers in Deep Storage, as well as improved their AI
- This includes slightly different behavior when the Skirmishers (or Ravagers after a Mental Break) are exposed to light

- Adjusted the Exosuit’s HP scaling and polished various effects to provide better indication of its attacks
- Adjusted the location of triggers for Restricted Areas
- Increased enemy HP by 10% on hard difficulty
- Changed so that inanimate objects (e.g., explosive barrels) no longer take psionic damage
- Improved visual effects for the Arc Cannon so that you can more easily recognize when it is hitting an enemy
- Changed the resolution setting as a dropdown for quicker selection, instead of having to cycle through each option
- Polished some weapon perk text for consistency
- Other miscellaneous improvements

- Addressed the text spilling out the UI with weapon perks in the blueprint unlock UI
- Other bug fixes
