Minor update for Windows

[p]We pushed a minor update last month (July 2025) that caused some confusion due to the lack of patch notes. [/p][p][/p][p]This update just fixed a long standing issue introduced in a previous update, which caused the game to lose focus and minimize during the opening cutscene in Windows 10. Hopefully this should no longer happen. We also used this as a chance to update the controller database to support some newer controllers. [/p][p][/p][p]Apologies for any confusion caused by the lack of patch notes, I'd assumed it was a small enough update to not really require a note, till I saw folks react in the forum. Will be sure to include patch notes for any basic maintenance updates like this in the future! ːtbphappyː[/p]

MAC OS CATALINA SUPPORT + OTHER FIXES

A new update just dropped for They Bleed Pixels sorting out some issues that have come up over the years as new hardware has been released and operating systems have updated.

Here are the highlights:

ːtbphappyː macOS Catalina support!
For those who don't know, the latest macOS version cut off support for 32-bit games and apps, including They Bleed Pixels. This update brings us up to 64-bit making it compatible with Catalina and future macOS updates.

ːtbphappyː Fixes for issues caused by Windows 10 and newer hardware!
A small number of players have run into issues with They Bleed Pixels not loading on newer hardware in Windows 10. This update should handle those special cases. Give us a shout if it doesn't!

ːtbphappyː Improved Gamepad support
This includes a number of things. Support for hot swapping. New button images and detection for Dual Shock, Xbox One and Switch Pro controllers and a fix for the bug that caused sticky inputs when playing on keyboard with a gamepad plugged in. We strongly recommend not using any of Steam's built in gamepad support when playing the game. The game does a much better job providing correct button prompts etc..
