1.1.2 Hotfix

In this update, we're introducing a new way for the app to use less resource when not in-use.

In addition to the Unfocused FPS cap in update 1.1.0, we've now added a way to automatically reduce the game FPS to a minimum when it is completely minimized. You should be able to see this effect by monitoring your CPU/GPU usage when the game is minimized.

Also, this update let's you rebind the key input of your choice for the UI visibility toggle. You can do this in the Settings - General tab, in-game. You can expect more rebindable shortcuts like these in future updates.

Finally, this update has yet another change on the saving events to help those that we're impacted by progression data loss. We got positive feedback from some players that were affected in the past, and hoping that this over for good!

Thank you so much!

1.1.1 Hotfix

As we're still getting a low amount of reports from players losing their progression save files, here is a tentative fix. This hotfix adds nothing else but should improve the reliability of save events and prevent those mishaps.

If you have been impacted by it, please reach out on our official Discord forum for help.

Thank you for your patience and understanding! :)

Update 1.1.0 has arrived!

Update 1.1.0 has arrived!
It's been 2 weeks since our launch, and the reception has simply been amazing. Thank you so much for all the positive reviews, it warms our hearts!

NEW FEATURES

We're happy to introduce new graphics menu options that will certainly help players fine-tune their game experience for their needs.
  • We added a distinct 'FPS cap' option for when the game is 'unfocused' which lets you automatically lower the FPS when you're busy doing something else (when you click away from the game window).
  • We added a new 'Screen resolution scale' option to help fine-tune your graphics card usage. Setting it to a lower % will make the game a bit more blurry, but can drastically improve performance and temperature/fan noise on laptops.
  • Generally the other graphic menu options should be more responsive.

NEW CONTENT
  • We added 2 new hairstyles, a 'Messy Bun Hairstyle' and a 'Short Ponytail Undercut Hairstyle'
  • New Facial Hair options, and updated existing Facial Hair options
  • New mugs for your desk accessory

ADJUSTMENTS
  • For the Steam Achievements that were unlocked while offline, these achievements will now retroactively unlock the next time the game is opened while Steam is online!
  • We increased passive EXP earned per minute by 50%, to help people reach the level achievements a bit faster, while we think of more meaningful ways to gain EXP and Spirit Credits in the future.
  • While in windowed mode, we removed the in-game button for 'minimize', 'maximize', and 'quit' in order to use the standard Windows buttons. Due to popular demand, we already reverted back to the borderless WIndows button!
  • We added an 'Exit game' confirmation window that can be triggered by pressing "Escape" or available trough the Settings menu.

BUG FIXES
  • Minimized potential scenarios where players could lose progression (often their Spiritographer level and Spirit Credits) after the game was closed forcefully.
  • Reduced game loading time for some that had their game taking a while to boot-up and seemed stuck on a black screen.
  • Writing in the Journal will now automatically scroll down as you keep writing more lines.
  • Feet should no longer disappear at the Bed - Browsing activity.
  • Removed floating geometry at the Bay Window - Reading activity.
  • Fixed clipping issues with knee high socks at the Fireplace - Reading activity.
  • Fixed clipping issues with knee high socks at the Bay Window - Reading activity
  • Fixed twisted arm at the Bed - Relaxing activity.

Launch hotfixes

We've heard some people had issues with the game not closing cleanly, having Steam think the game was still open. So we're pushing a potential fix for this!

  • Fixed an issue where Steam would think the game is still 'running' even after it was closed for some users.
NOTE: This could also help with some people experiencing issues with their save files (as they might've been lost when the game didn't properly exit).
  • Replaced some placeholder icons in the UI.
