- Three New Spirits to Befriend – New adorable Spirits to keep you company in the Kitchen - Including Capybun, a loaf-life capybara and Squire Sprout, a vegetable knight-in-training
- Nine Discoverable Spirit Variants – Expand your Spiritdex with unique and rare versions of your favorite spirits - Including Bentobunny, a variant of Dustbunny who loves sleeping in packed lunches and Toast-mate, a retro toaster variant of APE-bit.
- A Fully Customizable Kitchen – Personalize your dream kitchen with new decor options, including countertops, backsplashes, cabinets, and a cozy breakfast nook.
- Flexible Color Options – Using the new color selector you can now choose from a full-range of colors for certain items. Choose from pre-existing palettes, or even create your own custom ones.
*This feature will be expanded to the base game in a free future update, so stay tuned! - Expanded Spiritdex – A dedicated new Spiritdex page for your culinary-themed spirit friends.
- New Avatar Items – Look the part as you don new aprons and chefs hats for your avatar.
- New Kitchen Activities – Enjoy cozy kitchen tasks like chopping veggies, cooking and washing dishes to enhance your daily productivity and relaxation.

1.8.0 Update - Full patch notes
- FEATURE: We've added an "Always on top" mode for the game, which locks the game window on top of everything else. You can use it from the button in the new game bar menu and from a rebindable shortcut as well! We hope this makes it easier to have Spirit City always with you on your monitor!
- FEATURE: We've added a loading screen, about time!
- FEATURE: We've added a "News" section so that you can check out all of Spirit City's latest right from the game application.
- CONTENT: We've updated the Spiritdex look with extra visuals for each existing Spirit!
- CONTENT: To add with the Cozy Kitchen DLC, we've added 3 new soundscapes: Kitchen Ambience, Tasty Bubbling and Dishwasher sounds. While they only are useful to discover new Spirits in the Cozy Kitchen DLC, those soundscapes are free for everyone to enjoy!
- CONTENT: New activities for some Spirits! Now way more Spirits can be reading, gaming and meditating alongside you.
- QOL: Added a new save file for pomodoro timer settings! Your work and break timer values will now be saved across sessions.
- QOL: Selecting a Spirit in the Avatar customization menu will now remember the last equipped skin for that Spirit.
- QOL: Adjusted the Avatar and Room customization menus to take less space in the screen, letting you visualize your changes better!
- QOL: Added navigation arrows in the Avatar, Room customization, and Settings menus to offer an easier alternative way to select tabs
- QOL: Going into Room customization will now auto-select the tab at the current activity location.
- QOL: Added an additional graphics setting for fine-tuning shadows quality.
- ADJUSTMENT: The game window will now have subtle rounded corners for a more polished look on Windows computers.
- ADJUSTMENT: We removed the Discord Rich presence functionality from the game since it was creating some issues on Discord for users such as showing Spirit City being played twice, and added no value to the default's Discord preview.
- ADJUSTMENT: Moved the "Scenery" category to the "General" tab in Room customization.
- BUG: Fixed an issue where reordering to-do lists would sometimes merge the items inside of them.
- BUG: Fixed an issue where the game was crashing after level 500. (Yes, someone reached level 500! What an achievement!)
- BUG: Removed the delay before showing tasks, habits, and journal entries, which was causing issues for those with many entries.
- BUG: Fixed an issue where entering text in to-do tasks, habits, or journal would not render characters properly if they were from an unsupported language.
- BUG: Fixed an issue where moving in-game widgets around the screen was not always functional across different game window sizes.
- BUG: Fixed an issue with the frame rate settings where they wouldn't consistently be applied when the game launches.
