We’re happy to share that the Winter Wonderland Update is officially live!

What started as a small seasonal update quickly grew into something much bigger—thanks to the incredible excitement and love from our community. Your enthusiasm inspired us to go all out and pack this update with even more cozy, seasonal magic!

And don’t worry; everything included in this update will be available year-round, so you can enjoy the seasonal vibes whenever you like ❄️✨

[h3]NEW SPIRIT:[/h3]

• A brand new Spirit has been added to the Spiritdex! Meet Twintail, the adorable snow fox ready to keep you company this winter season.
  

[h3]NEW FEATURE:[/h3]

• You can now save up to 3 separate loadouts of room AND avatar customization! Time to create your perfect winter cottage vibes without saying goodbye to your favorite spooky room of Halloween!
  

[h3]NEW CONTENT: [/h3]

• A new music playlist is now available, "Tranquil Wonderland", giving major holiday relaxation vibes. Rest assured, it will be available all year long.
  
• 2 new soundscapes are now available! There's Gentle Snowstorm soundscape which has additional effects on the weather, and Holiday Melodies
  
• A new "sipping your favorite hot beverage" activity for your avatar. And watch for some Spirits that will join you too!
  
• For your avatar -- 2 new hairstyles and many new holiday themed items including santa hats, holiday sweaters, and more!
  
• For your room -- New holiday themed decorations, fireplace customization, winter scenery backgrounds, and more!
  
• For your Spirits - A handful of new holiday themed skins have been added to Spirits!
  

[h3]QOL/IMPROVEMENTS:[/h3]

• The music player settings are now saved across sessions! Upon logging in again, your last selected playlist, music volume, play/pause, loop and shuffle settings will be carried over. (Keep in mind the web browser settings will not be saved across sessions.)
  
• On Steam Deck, window mode and resolution graphics settings are now set to hardware defaults. Those specific settings are now hidden on the platform to prevent confusion.
  

[h3]BUG FIXES:[/h3]

• Fixed an issue where the game would often take an unreasonably long time to load the first time it opens up, showing nothing but a black screen. (From our testing, loading times should now be at least twice as fast on most hardware.)
  
• Fixed an issue where the to-do list tabs would show up as darkened when selected, and could create confusion to know which was selected.
  
• Fixed an issue with room customization tabs when reopened showing "general" items while the active tab was something else.
  
• Fixed an issue where the pink clouds wallpaper item for the sidewalls was showing up as blue clouds.
  
• Known issue: For some room customization items we've had to reset their purchase state, sorry for the trouble. Those should be: At the desk area: Simple wooden desk - Wood color, Main Wall Decor Brown Gaming Shelves, Main Wall Decor - Witchy Shelves. And at the Baywindow area: Window Curtains, Brown Leaves

Remember this: Our DLCs will never include new productivity feature or QOL updates, those would always be added as free updates. Instead, we want our DLCs to be adding to the existing fantasy of Spirit City with new locations, new spirits, and more to discover!

In the coming weeks, we'll be planning and preparing for what's coming next year! We'll then be heading into vacation for the holiday period. We'll be back in full swing in 2025 to keep bringing more amazing things to Spirit City. We're just getting started!

It has come to our attention that some users still had difficulties maximizing the game window to take their full monitor after our 1.5.0 update. This update aims at solving that, plus a couple miscellaneous fixes for new content introduced in the Halloween update.

BUG: Fixed an issue where some users could not maximize their game window to take their whole monitor, in windowed mode. This was related to users with UI scaling (not the default 100%) in their display settings in Windows OS.
BUG: Fixed an issue in the Decor menu, where the pink mushroom wallpaper had an incorrectly set icon.
BUG: Fixed an issue in the Wardrobe menu, where buying some glasses item incorrectly set the current equipped glasses.
BUG: Fixed an issue where the default lamp accessory on the bed side table was not free by default.

🎃We're happy to announce that our latest free update is now live! 🎃

We originally planned for this to be a very small update. After seeing the community's excitement for Halloween we decided to make a big push to add more! Rest assured, everything will be available permanently so you get the enjoy this all year long!

[h3]NEW SPIRIT:[/h3]

• A brand new Spirit has been added to the Spiritdex! Meet Hexwing! This adorable bat is attuned to magic. Once you discover it you'll have the perfect companion to chill with this Halloween season!

[h3]NEW CONTENT: [/h3]

• A new Halloween playlist, Spooky Melodies, is now available. The perfect vibes for the month of October! Rest assured, it will be available all year long.
  
• A handful of new Halloween-themed Spirit cosmetics have been added!
  
• New Halloween themed clothing items are now available in the Wardrobe including witch hats and more!
  
• New Halloween themed decorations are available across the room! Including rugs, hanging lights, wall decor options, and more!
  
• 5 new fall and Halloween-themed window backgrounds are now selectable.
  
• More Spirit activities have been added! Spirits will now rest on the bed with you. Also, Moonpaw and Lenny can read, and Inkster can write!
  
• Skirt options are now available! For the moment only one length is available, but we hope to add more in the future.
  
• Two new hairstyles are now available!
  

[h3]QOL/IMPROVEMENTS:[/h3]

• In the Wardrobe and Decor menus, opening a new category will automatically scroll into view the equipped item.
  
• On the Steam Deck, clicking on editable text boxes will now automatically prompt the virtual keyboard.
  
• Some text sizes were adjusted for better readability, such as the to-do list tabs, current task preview, and Spiritdex descriptions.
  
• When clicking and dragging to set the pomodoro timer minutes, it will now increment in steps of 5 minutes to make it easier to reach round numbers. The value can still be set to anything in-between when typed.
  

[h3]BUG FIXES:[/h3]

• Fixed an issue where the game's window would not properly maximize and take the whole monitor when using the maximize button, or from selecting windowed-fullscreen in the graphics menu.
  
• Fixed an issue where the game's window would not remember last user-defined size when in windowed mode.
  
• Fixed an issue where the daily completed task bonus would be given even when unchecking an existing task
  
• Fixed an issue where some Spirits could be petted while playing the first-time discovery animation
  
• Fixed clipping issue with Cat Ears and headphones accessories
  
• Fixed clipping issue with long socks in certain activities
  
• Fixed clipping issue with some long hairstyles and hoodies
  
• Fixed clipping issue with Hijab in thick turtleneck sweater

[h2]What's next?[/h2]
After a short break to play some of the other amazing games coming out this month, we'll be jumping on a winter holiday update! We don't want to over-promise so we plan on keeping it small, but look forward to a few new cozy items to help you get into the holiday spirit! ❄️

We're constantly working on QoL improvements and content, so please stay tuned. We always want to be sure things are working before we announce them. We plan to continue to support Spirit City throughout 2025, and we have lots of exciting things planned!
