Development Update #1

[h2]Hey Everyone![/h2]
BlueTheRobot here, the community manager for Incursion Red River. Just wanted to talk about what the team has been working on these past few months, since our latest update, 1.0.15.5.

[h2]NEW MAP INCOMING[/h2]
Of course, the new bunker map is currently still in development, but making significant progress, as well as a rework of our Quarry area. You can see some of our concept art here, showcasing the look and feel
we want for the new map.



[h2]MEDICAL ANIMATIONS[/h2]
We also are currently working on implementing the a brand new medical system, that includes both bandages, pills, and health injectors, all with their own custom animations! This will change the way you play and fight in Incursion Red River. Here's a quick preview of the bandage animation.



[h2]The Future[/h2]
There is much more being worked on, such as adding new weapons and attachments, overall improvements to the UI, Q.O.L. features, optimization, animation improvements, and more. We just wanted to thank you for the continuous support, and will be updating you all here more often. We heard you, and we are still working very hard. Thank you.

Update 1.0.15.5 - Hotfix

We've released another hotfix for the latest content update that addresses some bug reports and general QoL improvements.

[QoL]

- Updated Quick Loot
-> Choose Backpack first.
-> It is now available inside the stash to move items.

[GAMEPLAY]

- Updated spawning.
- Updated Attenuation for footsteps & gunshots.
- Prevented spawning next to objective.
- Removed nearby extraction points.
- Increased draw speed for pistols.
- Decreased character step height.

[FIXES]

- Fixed not taking damage when pressing crouch while falling.
- Fixed items not showing in empty containers after dropping them.
- Fixed several attachment slot positions on AR-15 handguards.
- Fixed silencer Co-Hybrid compatibility now matches the description.
- Fixed footsteps for AI not playing.
- Fixed AI teleporting.
- Fixed picking up Ammo goes straight into mag.
- Fixed switching mission tabs and changing reputation progress.
- Fixed wired fences blocking bullets.

Update 1.0.15.4 - Hotfix

We've released another hotfix for the latest content update that addresses some bug reports and general QoL improvements.

[GAMEPLAY]

- Added M-LOK Rail slots to Benelli Agency Handguard
- Added BenelliIinventory open/close animation
- Added all AR-15 Pistol Grips to the same pool
- Limited Mission Reward Value. (There is now a max each mission can provide)

[AI]

- Improved Wayfinding
- Tweaked Behaviour (more challenging again)

[FIXES]

- Fixed Injector disapearing.
- Fixed equipping tablet causes other player's inventory to be closed.
- Fixed WASR handguard being compatible with SAG upper rail.
- Fixed Inbox sites not showing correctly.
- Fixed turning on NVG while inspecting weapon to stop weapon being functional.
- Fixed AI spawning during a raid.

Update 1.0.15.3 - Hotfix

We've released another small hotfix that tackles some of the most severe issues reported by the community.

- Fixed Rock Collisions.
- Fixed Belt Dimensions when looting from AI.
- Fixed Jammer Placement for one mission.
- Fixed Door Unlocking not functioning correctly.
- Fixed KRISS Vector right side slot attachment rotation.
- Fixed AK B-13 being compatible with SAG MK3 Upper Rail.
- Fixed Resetting Character causing death.

Patch #1.0.15.0

Hey Everyone!


First of all, we want to say thank you to everyone! It has been an incredible journey so far, and we couldn’t be more grateful for all your feedback and responses since our EA release. After our initial series of hotfixes, we stayed quiet for a couple of weeks to work on some new content, further optimization, and bug fixes. Obviously, there are still multiple steps to go, but we hope you enjoy this first small content & QoL update!

[h2]NEW AREA[/h2]

For our first map expansion, we chose to incorporate more of the Southeast Asian identity to the map in the form of a small fishing village. This is just the start to our ongoing priority of expanding on the environment to achieve a more authentic feel to the world. The location features additional environmental storytelling regarding the rebellious VLF faction storing their arms and cargo in the settlement.



[h2]NEW WEAPONS[/h2]

With this update, we also introduce two new weapons to our lineup. The much loved KRISS Vector and Remington M700. Both could be used in a deadly combination for long-range and close-range encounters.

[h2]NEW ATTACHMENTS[/h2]

The AK-74M also gets some love with the newly added SAG MK3 conversion kit together with a new SAG buffer tube and stock. We have finally also added an AK-74M muzzle brake and suppressor. We also want to take the opportunity to give a shoutout to SAG (Sureshot Armament Group) for providing us with the models. We hope you enjoy the new AK attachments!



[h2]GAMEPLAY CHANGES[/h2]

With this patch, we also want to introduce some balancing updates that are based on your feedback. First of all, we nerfed painkillers. We reduced the healing amount and the general availability. It should feel less forgiving to be hit, and as the painkillers right now are very easy to consume, we’ve taken steps to compensate for that. Remember, we will have a complete health system overhaul soon, with healing animations becoming a major aspect of the healing system, so this is only a temporary “fix”. We also increased the main stash by 6 rows (yeah, more LOOT) and added a manual wipe option for those who cannot get enough and want to start all over! :)

[h2]QOL[/h2]

We also addressed a couple of QoL improvements. For instance, we adjusted and streamlined the weapon slot usage in the inventory and improved the overall look of the item icons. Furthermore we also reduced the VRAM usage on Quarry drastically by switching to Runtime Virtual Textures, which hopefully produces better results on GPUs below the previous minimum requirements. To wrap it up, this update should lead to an overall more polished and smoother experience while also providing some additional content to play around with.
